    It's got some problems...

I eventually got my hands on three of these Trackr Pixel devices. The first one I tried connected to the iOS app well and seemed to work wonderfully. The app was able to ring the Trackr device to locate it by sound quickly, and it gives a "you're getting warmer" type indication to give you a rough idea on distance. I also really like the feature that tells you how many Trackr devices are in the area, although I wish I knew how large this area was. I then tried to connect a second Trackr Pixel to the same iOS device. The device then emitted a screeching buzz, when in small doses is fine, but when it's constant, it makes your head want to go boom. The device had failed to connect to the app and would not shut up! The constant screeching buzz couldn't be masked no matter how many blankets I threw on top of it. I figure there would be an off button of sorts, maybe hold the button down for three seconds or something, but none of it worked. I eventually put in some earplugs and a noise-canceling headphone at the same time and both failed to mask the sound of the Trackr device. It started aggravating my tinnitus which was wonderful to experience. I then attempted to take off the battery door. No way is that was coming off. I watched the video that said to use your palms... no... that doesn't work... I'm a former military man, and I'm telling you there's no way to take off that battery door with just your palms. After nearly a half hour with an aggravated head ache, scorching tinnitus, and soon-to-be-lovely-girlfriend, I threw the device at the door. Silence... oh sweet silence. And a Trackr that no longer worked. I then tried to connect my third device to the iOS app. Success! Except it removed my first device and was no longer tracking it. So I tried to reconnect my first device, couldn't do it! It kept giving two beeps when I tried. So from the app, I removed my third device to try and re-pair the first device. Same two beeps... Then I tried to re-pair the third device, two beeps! So now I figure I need to do a hard reset by taking the battery out of one of the devices. And again, I couldn't get the battery door open! I started slamming it between my heavy clothes dresser door and the furniture itself, which got the thing to open eventually, but it's all smashed up to bits now. So now I'm left with one more device, which I can't pair with anything, and I can't open the battery door. It's just a not so good key-right now that's about to find its way into a bin. Two stars for having mild success, but the experience has made me very bitter.

I have been wanting to try these for some time now and broke down to finally purchasing them. My wife is always misplacing her keys and even her cell phone, so what better reason to use these to avoid the almost daily snipe hunt we endure. After receiving them the set up began. Pretty simple to follow the apps instructions and they worked right out of the box so in no time at all they were up and running. Pretty decent range on Bluetooth and they do and did help find her keys the very next day. I love the crowd discover feature and several of my wife's coworkers have them so everyone can locate their stuff if need be. About the size of a quarter and they include a small lynard and double sided sticky tape to attach to just about anything. I found another good use for one as we were out shopping. Attaching one via lynard to my 6 yo daughters coat and setting the notification to ring my phone if she strayed to far helped keep an eye on her where abouts if we were distracted for a few moments. The uses are endless and already We have had fun with playing hide and seek with mommy's keys... Battery replacement is a bit tough but not impossible. I used a pair of needle nosed pliers and opened slightly used them to open the back after reading that replacing the batteries was an issue for some. It worked great opening and closing the back. Speaking of batteries, TrackR sends out free ones when needed! The app will let you know when it needs changing and you order right from the app.! My daughter saids "easy peasy lemon squeezy" easy! And "FREE! " Yep no cost at all to you. In my opinion TrackR is money well spent and as I stated earlier it has already helped and is fun also. We have found any con's yet so I can't address issues others may be having. Connects, works and just a fun gadget (and useful) to have and use.

This is my second purchase of TrackRs. My first purchase was for the larger Bravo. I have placed them everywhere: in my wallet, car, purse, phone and cat! Surprisingly, I use it most to find my cat and it has saved her from being locked in a closet all day. The things I don't like are(1) the app is always on and draws down the battery and (2) it often take a long time to "search" for a device, even if it is in the same room. I don't have a solution to either problems. Customer service is wonderful. The pink Pixel's volume was much softer that the other two, and TrackR send me a replacement immediately. When I got the replacement it was a black one. I really wanted pink to match my cat's collar and another replacement was promptly sent. Way to go TrackR!!!!

    TrackR delivers

I spent a great amount of time looking at different devices when I purchased my first TrackRs. In my view, they were the best products on the market at the time. Their earlier products worked well enough and have saved me much time and frustration with things misplaced around the house. With this background, I jumped at the chance to review their latest effort. You see, there was a device I had that still needed a TrackR, and I figured that it would be a perfect test. The new product does not disappoint. It delivers exactly what you need when it comes to finding lost items. The new buzzer is audible even in noisy rooms. I tested by playing my PA speakers as loud as I thought I could get away with and was still able to hear the device. The new LED is also helpful, particularly if you are looking in a dark room. The radio seems a bit better as well, but I never had much problem with the old version. In summary, this is a solid product that works as advertised. The market now has more competition, but I have no plans to switch. TrackR is "just works" technology that would be a valuable addition to most people's technology portfolio.

I bought a 5 pack in October 2017 but battery life is not what it claims. Customer service will tell you it's because you need to leave the app running on your phone in the background. But despite this, I have had to replace batteries about every 4-6 weeks since I bought them and the app only allows you to order 1 at a time per device. The upside is there is a free battery replacement program, but the app won't warn you while it's running in the background that the batteries are low, you will only see it if check on the app. The company sent me several batteries at once to help with this issue but it's still happening. They are now sending me some replacement trackr's that supposedly have updated battery life. Maybe that will work but if not, I'm not sure it's worth the hassle compared to getting a TILE (where the battery isn't replaceable but you return it for a discounted replacement/refurbished).

Buy the colored plastic ones. ( Names are confusing.) This one has lights, a loud sound, a replaceable battery and it actually works. It is by far the best locating device we found for many reasons. ( Hint; This is why it is usually the first one sold out.) Having said this, if you follow the instructions you will think this is a pile of junk and you were a fool for buying it. Hints: Use suction cup or stick on pad or a sharp knife to replace the battery. The device can be used on several phones. But if the app is active and open on one phone, it will not work on another. It works ok if you understand this. A few other things but no space to say. The device is remarkable. The instructions are not. PS: You can use more than 10 devices per phone claimed in the instructions if you play with it for a while. Throw away the instructions and good luck.

Only if I had purchased this item before my $500 keyfob was lost and to be replaced at the dealership. I can see the value and benefit of having this tracker on my key chain now. I would highly recommend this item in helping track small items. I have now stuck the tracker onto my new keyfob along with the tether string in case the provided double sided tape doesn't hold. It took minutes to set it up and you can even assign your favorite song to locate your phone. This thing is really small too; smaller would be great but good for now!

Much improvement over the TrackR Bravo

I had multiple TrackR Bravos but always had an issue with the life of the battery, the sound level and the distance. The new TrackR Pixel is much louder and the distance seems to be much better but there are still other trackers out in the market that are louder and have a much better distance range. I love the size though. It's actually the smallest Bluetooth tracker on the market that I've seen. The battery life is still unknown but they have increased the size of the battery from CR1620 to CR2016, so hopefully it will last closer to a year now. The TrackR Bravo only got 3-4 months on a single battery, although they claimed it would last a year. It never did, even with almost no use. Overall it is much better design over the TrackR Bravo.

I have one defective which I tried changing the battery on and it still doesn't do anything. Two of the straps broke that connect them to the keychain leading me to losing one of them. Not much I can do when it's in a strangers house now. There is no way to put bigger sturdier keychains on it because it is so small. I had given two away thinking that having the majority of 5 would leave me better off, but now I'm left with only a single one that works and the ones I have given away arent used because they drain phone battery by keeping Bluetooth on all the time. This is the worst product I have bought, and I regret it because I am not even able to bring it back.

Purchased this item because I WAS notorious for putting my keys down and not remembering where. This is a huge time saver although I must admit...I don't misplace them so much anymore. Maybe it is the consciousness of knowing I have the trackr on them now. Ive since purchased more for friends and family. Battery seems to run down faster than stated in the product info. Annoying but there is a battery monitor within the IOS Ap and replacement batteries are free.....forever! And the fact that this device has battery replacement capability...thats a plus over similar tracking products.

The Pixel feels lighter and is smaller, with brighter lights and a louder tone. What impresses me the most is the longer signal range and the bigger battery for a longer life. The open/close mechanism is simple and less likely to wear out or become loose over time. I have several Bravos, but it was my Pixel that found my key fobs that had been lost by the service department on a large dealership lot. Without this Pixel it may have been days before they found my keys, but luckily I was able to find them and head home.

Love the sweet summery pastely colors! Didn't know what these things were at first but the colors caught my eye. When I realized they were little item finders I was intrigued. Loved the colors so much I figured I'd try em out and turns out to be quite useful to have. Best part was the super simple setup... loud enough to hear across the house too. I was planning o giving other 2 away but ended up keeping all 3 for myself!

I like a lot of people need help keeping track of a few items. I liked that I was able to buy a pack of these gps sensors and I also liked how easy they were to set up using their app. I was surprised to learn that in order to find misplaced items you literally have to go from room to room in the hopes you come within about a foot or so for the beacon to show on the app. It would have been nice if these devices could cover the wifi range, unfortunately they do not. They're still better than nothing though.

These are very attractive and easy to use. At first I had a hard time figuring out where the adhesive was in the package....then I discovered it tucked inside a piece of paper. Very easy to set up with my phone....even for little ole me who doesn't understand how to use a SMART phone very well. These are very useful. I stuck one on my remote and put one on my keychain. I will give the other one to my sister...she's always losing her phone! Lol

I recommend purchasing these for anyone that loses their pretty frequently. I, myself haven't purchased these for myself but have for others. They are small, helpful and easy to use. With the mobile app, you can access their precise location through GPS tracking. With this particular model, its integrated with LED lights to find it in dark places. Plus, they make different colors to help make them more personal for that special person that you purchase them for.

It's definitely a plus to have a replaceable battery option. I've used tile for years. A few things I'm not a fan of is the map and the constant ringing. If you zoom in on the map to find your lost item, the location disappears within this green color that's included on the map. Also the out of proximity notification goes off constantly even if your item is 10ft away. It's a good idea for a feature but needs the range increased.

The Trackr Pixel is much louder than the original Trackr. Along with the light around the perimeter of the device makes this much easier to find. I had lost my house keys and I was able to see the blue light in my car at night where they fell between the seats. Normally I would have been out there with a flashlight looking under the seats. Great product and affordable.

The device is extremely loud compared to my TrackR bravo! The lights surrounding the device make it AWESOME for my wife to find inside of her purse and when the Roku remote falls inside of the couch cushion. I am extremely happy with my purchase!

This product is better than the other tracking devices I have tried. The light up feature is also good, just wish I could turn off the speaker when I am looking for my keys in the dark (and my wife is sleeping) I do not want to disturb her. Other than that, great product. I bought a three pack and really like the colors too. Handy on my keys (one for each car and work keys)

We use the trackr on 2 sets of keys. It works on 2 levels. You can narrow down on the phone as to where it is generally on a map (work, home, the grocery store etc) and then once you're close you can activate the sound function and follow your ears to the object. It's not perfect but way better than randomly looking hoping you get lucky.
