I've been shopping around for a wireless probe so I can have a failsafe in case my Traeger Ironwood 885 provided thermometer isn’t inserted correctly, shifts, or possibly becomes inaccurate as it ages. It's also nice for when I have multiple chunks of meat on that might be slightly varying in size so I can monitor one isn’t cooking way faster than the other. I actually had bought another wireless probe from a different company and was extremely disappointed, especially when it was at a similar price point. My smoker is double-walled and that thermometer couldn't broadcast to the base station/charging cradle if it was a foot away from my grill. I couldn't get a reading from it unless I was standing next to the door which was pointless. This new Traeger probe has no problems broadcasting to its base station/charging cradle inside the door, to which my phone has perfect connection to anywhere in my house. The only small thing I wish it could do was have the ability to be integrated into the Traeger app instead of utilizing two. Not a big deal, but just seems like it would make sense

This checks all of those boxes and works very well. I am very happy with it.

It’s similar to the one I have on my Traeger, and it works well on my offset smoker.
