I mean it was a completely different movie with nobody from the originals still there except Optimus and Bumblebee really, I didn't like that they were killing Autobots in the beginning like Ratchet. Left wondering what happened to all the other Autobots from the 3rd movie. Thought it was funny that Optimus at the end of 4 was the same as the end of 1. Ok start to a new trilogy, not great but not bad, just OK I guess.

I bought Transformers: AOE knowing that it was a poorly receive sequel of sequels. My low expectations did help me enjoy the movie more. The 3D presentation and audio were fantastic. There have been complaints about the constant film ratio transitioning which, while noticeable, was not overly distracting. The sound was quite immersive. The production quality did help overall to make a more pleasant movie experience.

Michael Bay spares no expense on the quality of the movie..Great detail and action..I wish they would make this movie on bluray and all movies on bluray FULL SCREEN not widescreen with black bars on top and bottom.. I have a 73" tv and want the movies to fill the WHOLE SCREEN...they could have left out the the way the show the women in this movie with short shorts etc.. Don't need that to make a great action movie...

First I have to say that this movie was longer than I expected, watching it for the first time at about 11:30pm found myself still watching past 2am without stopping. Now moving to movie...great graphics and action, some parts seemed a bit beyond, but what would a movie about transforming robots from outer space be without "beyond". So recommended because I still couldn't stop the movie to get to bed for work the next day, means a great deal.

Wahlberg being a high strung action dude. Lots of great visuals and effects. Tons of action. Required Bay hot chick. Yep, it's Transformers. As long as you don't have unrealistic expectations of super drama and Oscar nods, you will enjoy it. It's just a fun movie. Downside is that it was a bit on the long side. 164 minutes? Over two and a half hours of Transformers. Make sure you hit the head before you press Play

Had some really cool action and fighting scenes in the movie which look great. My son owns the rest of collection so purchased this for him to complete his collection until the Last Knight comes out. Better then with Shia Lebouf not the greatest movie but at least Mark Wahlberg is an upgrade as an actor Good movie I would recommend if you liked any of the previous three films.

I think this is a fresh reboot of series. Is it going to win an Oscar? No, but it's a lot of fun if you are looking for an action movie with great 3D. It's an easy movie to sit down and watch with the family. If you liked the previous 3, don't hesitate on picking this up. Definitely go for the 3D combo pack even if you don't have 3D capabilities... since it's the only one that includes the IMAX version of the film.

This was a really good addition to the Transformers series of movies. My favorite part of the movie is the introduction of the Dinobots and the following fight scene. I recently got this movie for my brother and his family as they had not seen it yet. His wife thanked me for the movie about a week later as they had just watched it and thought it was really awesome and there kids wanted to watch it over and over.

I had heard that this movie was the worst of the bunch. I thought it was exceptionally good. The dynamics between Mark's character and his daughters boyfriend was kinda weird...I thought disrespectful in a way...how a boyfriend would talk to the father. They dont raise kids like they used to! ;0) The new Big Green cigar smoking Autobot was the best. The upgrades to Optimus were cool. I watch a ton of movies and I really liked this one!

This addition is the forth part in the series of the transformers movie and a must have in your collection. This movie took a little bit away from the first 3 movies becus the original cast members where not in it. This part was pretty good but was lacking that certain feel of the previous movies. Mark did a good job but it felt like it two and a half when Charlie Sheen left the show, lacking and not the same

Anyone who goes into these movies expecting Academy Award level acting or screenplays is completely clueless... This is nothing more than a big summer action blow stuff up popcorn movie and it doesn't pretend to be anything else... It is, in my opinion, the best Transformers movie so far and the ending makes me anxious to see the next one. So grab some popcorn, sit back, crank the surround sound up, and have fun with this movie!!!

A different cast seems to give new life to this series. Wahlberg was a good replacement. Maybe a little too much verbal fighting between his character and his "daughter's" boyfriend when they are being chased early in the movie. Action was good and the story was OK, though it follows a familiar pattern of a "hero" fighting a "bad" government. Overall, the movie was entertaining and it looked great in 3D.

Transformers: Age of Extinction does a good job at continuing on from the last movie. Although the story line jumps from Sam(Shia LaBeouf) to Cade(Mark Wahlberg). This is a good addition to the Transformers series. I liked how there where new characters. I liked this movies but I feel like it is very similar to all the other Transformer movies. There are a lot of explosions and scenes where the sun blinds you just like all the other movies. There is always a reason for the Autobots to stop trusting the humans and then they always owe their lives to someone so they stick around and fight. This movie goes on for a long time with a few spots where you think you have reached the end and then more happens. Also I don't like that the humans always seem to kill more Decepticons than the Autobots do. Overall I gave Transformers, Age of Extinction three stars because I liked the movie. The action is intense, and I liked Mark Wahlberg as the main character.

Picked this up at my local BB store. Got the steelbook case version too! Another Michael Bay action bonanza!! And the special effects are top notch thanks to ILM. Introduces us to new characters, Autobots and Decepticons as well.My only complaint was the Dinobots didn't get as much screen time as I hoped for. Maybe the next installment will rectify that. Sound design is top notch also. Sounds great on my surround sound system!!

Although I love the Transformers movies, this one is not as good as the first 3 simply because I believe the storyline moves off the original plot of the transformers too much into the human storyline of the family. It may be the different cast but this movie seems too much like a made-for-TV plot. It doesn't get really exciting until the last hour. Even so, I enjoyed the special FX when they happened.

In the fourth installment of Michael Bays "Transformers" film franchise, the director has taken the opportunity to refresh and reboot his titular characters, as well as recast the main leads. Giving the robot heroes and villains all-new, all-different coats of paint, The affect is somewhat of a something that is gratifying, and makes for a fun ride. "Age of Extinction" won't change your world though.

grow up watching "Transformers" was a really good cartoon to watch. This new story line about how the dinobots were created, kind of sucks. Because these were hardly used in the movie and origin of how they came about and why they were made is incorrect. But that's Hollywood. Mark Wahlberg in this movie was a great idea, because of his acting skills. Storyline is okay, with a lot of jumping around..

I like that this Transformers movie was a little more based in reality (if u can say that for a movie with talking robots). It didn't have some of the stupid humor that the other ones had. The action, as always was great and it's a good fun movie. It could have been shorter though, their was no need for it to be almost 3 hours long. If it was about an hour less it would be perfect. Good movie though.

Being a Transformer fan as a child, I wasn't sure which way this one was going to go after the initial trilogy. After seeing this film, it was definitely worth the wait. The beginning started a little slow, but quickly accelerated into high gear. Overall I feel the movie could have been about 30 minutes less, but the Introduction of the new Dinobots was worth the wait. A true Transformers fan will need to have this one!
