One of the classics from the old days. It is really fun to play through if you never played them before or if you weren't even born back then!
Gameplay might take some getting used to but the art style and music is top notch.

I have not played the original game, but this game is an enjoyable game on it's own. Sure, the graphics are not top tier, but they have a solid theme and it is pretty to watch. I still have a long way to go in it, but so far the combat and story is quite enjoyable as well.

It's a fun RPG to get lost in the story and characters, and the fun comes from traveling around in gorgeous places, battling and leveling up your party, and switching classes. The orchestrated music gets stuck in my head!

Love the original on snes (played a fan translation on an emulator). This is so much different and in some ways, better. Really good game if you enjoy action jrpgs. Multiple story lines for the different characters names it worth replaying.

I am glad to have this mana game finally release in the US. Combat is really engaging and the team combos keep you engaged. Some of the voice acting can be a little annoying. Hourly recommend if your looking for a JRPG that is very ready to grab and go.

Finally! When the Collection of Mana game released for the Switch in the states, I bought it IMMEDIATELY.
For those who don't know the history, there was a BELOVED game on the Super Nintendo called "Secret of Mana". There ended up being a sequel game on the Super Famicom in Japan and Europe, but for whatever reason, it never made it to western regions. Our only recourse to play the game (Seiken Densetsu 3, third in the series) was to use an emulator, rom and translation pack.
Then the collection was announced, and I was hyped. But right after, we got a trailer...and I recognized what it had to be immediately: A FULL remake of SD3.
I am not at all disappointed with this game, considering the literal decades of hype that has built up for me. Buy this game, it is a master class in how to translate a 2D 20 year old game to full 3D.

I'm a big secret of Mana fan and played the old version of trails of Mana. When I saw that they had made a new one for the switch I had to have it. Great story line, love to see the characters graphic improvements and just made me feel nostalgic.

It’s an awesome remake to a beloved franchise, gameplay is awesome, the colorful world are amazing, and story is interesting. The only thing that I don’t like is the English dub, but other then that, you won’t regret getting this game at all.

Overall, the remake is excellent. The graphics have been given a 3D overhaul, and the combat is engaging. The other RPG systems may be hit-or-miss but do not hurt the game. The cutscenes, however, suffer from annoying voice acting and long pauses. The Japanese voices help bring the annoyance down a few notches, though.

I really enjoyed this remake and I enjoy that different paths of characters you can use and that it will change the story. It has a lot of replayability due to this.

I love the way this game combines old school writing and overall pacing and play with updated graphics. I really wish FF7 would have taken this general approach. Just a face lift to the graphics folks, not a completely new game. They struck a nice balance here making the game fun, looks great, good customization to keep things different and interesting. Awesome game, I hope Square Enix uses this blueprint for other remakes (doing FF7 in a true to the original form, ff8, ff9, or any of the first 9 final fantasy games!)

Graphics are clean, game runs smooth, music is classic old school RPG. Square Enix never disappoints. This is my first time playing this franchise and gotta say it’s a great game.

Great gameplay with good visuals. The only con is the English voice acting, it is really bad. Luckily, you can also change it to the original Japanese sub which sounds fine.

I never played the original. I love the ideas this game has. Picking your main character and party is very interesting. However I did wish I knew that some characters stories play better into others, however I guess that adds to replayability. The class advancement is cool as you can pick and choose how your characters grow and what they become. The combat is very fun and somehow never gets old even though it is somewhat repetitive. its not the most stand out game ever for me, but for sure one I can see myself re visiting often through the years, Its just a fairly short simple fun jrpg that doesnt take it self to seriously and for that its very charming and entertaining.

I’m a few hours and I gotta it’s pretty solid game. Story is there to keep you entertained. Graphics look good docked, a few Pop ins but nothing game breaking.
