The TRX Strong System suspension trainer is a game changer for easy at home strength training. The system comes in a little mesh bag that makes it easy to store or to take with you. This couldn’t be easier to install. You literally just hang it over your door. I was hesitant at first - and really didn’t think it would hold my weight - but it does. I have tried it out on several interior doors with no issues at all. Included with the system is a small poster with exercises listed and also a key to unlock 8 additional workouts on the TRX website. The workout videos are very well done and easy to follow. This system has helped me exercise muscles that I have never done at the gym and at a higher weight because I’m using my own body weight. I definitely feel like I’m getting a better strength conditioning workout than when using machines at the gym. The best part is this is small enough to take with you on trips.

    ## Design Suspension trips are a great way to get a workout at home using your own body weight. The TRX Strong System comes with the two arm straps (connected at the top), a suspension strap, a door anchor, a workout poster, and a code for unlocking the online training guide and app for one month. You can use the door anchor to hang the straps from a sturdy, closed door, or use the suspension trap to hang the straps from a higher location, such as a sturdy tree branch or jungle gym bar. I found a fairly expensive ceiling mount online that I attached to an overhead beam in my basement. Since the mount was on the ceiling, I did need to use the yellow suspension strap to get the correct height (where the foot straps are about 3 inches above ground when the straps are fully extended). ## Workout The workouts you can do with the TRX straps work multiple muscle groups at once, especially since you need to stabilize yourself when doing many of the moves. I feel like I get a great workout from these straps and I definitely feel it the next day. There are workouts available for all of the major muscle groups, so as legs, chest, back, shoulders and arms. The included workout poster includes both a weight loss routing and strength building routine. The code included in the kit allows you to view additional workouts on the website. ## Value The TRX straps are handy for travel since they’re fairly light and can be attached to most doors, allowing you to get a workout practically anywhere. Unfortunately, the code included with the system is only good for one month of workouts from the app. Given the price of the system, I believe a one year membership to the app would have been more appropriate. However, the workout videos in “My Locker” on the website appear to be available indefinitely, which is appreciated.

This home workout system is easy to use. Just connect it to a door, (which is basically pulling the strap over the top of the door, anchor, close the door), and start your workout. Once you logon to The TRX strong system suspension trainer website, you will have access to 6 basic workout videos. Total Body, Arms and Shoulders, Legs and Hips, Core, Chest and Back, and TRX stretch. There are also several more available to stream or download. You choose how easy or hard you want your workout. I'm looking forward to strengthening my body with this system. Highly recommend

My wife and her crew have used various TRX systems at their fire-station for years. As soon as I had the opportunity to get this, she told me I could not go wrong... Well, she was right, I guess. I mean it's great gear and routines but I aint gonna' lie... It kicked my behind! And then to rub salt, my fire-fighter wife works out with me and does the exact same thing and makes it look like a breeze! End of the day, I definitely recommend to a friend and can honestly say it is fire-fighter tried and approved! **PLEASE NOTE** This product was provided to me at no cost in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. This review is exactly that: Honest and unbiased. The price played no role in the tone or honesty of this review.

    Unbelievably better than resistance bands

This is my first time using TRX equipment and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The material is top-notch and the set has a serial number that can be validated on the site (this helps avoid purchasing counterfeit systems). The door anchor is a square cushion securely fastened to the strap and anchor that go over the door. Adjusting the straps is simple, and the brightly-colored tab glides easily along the length of the strap. If you've ever had a resistance band break during a workout, then you'll immediately notice the liberating feeling of not having to worry that your eyes are in imminent danger of an elastic slingshot flying 90 mph at your face. To create more resistance- put your feet closer to the door [so that you're leaning further]. The straps are as secure as a seat-belt . Another benefit over resistance bands is that, when stored, the TRX are much more compact and light. To get the same resistance (of your body weight) from resistance bands would require 2 full sets. The TRX allows you to work every muscle group in your body and doesn't require more than 6 feet of clearance from a doorway. Now that I know how sturdy these are, I think that I could've gotten away with the thinner/lighter version of the TRX suspension straps. I'm excited to take these with me on my next trip and already plan to purchase more as a Christmas gift.

The TRX strong system is one of the few portable, multiple muscle group, training equipment that is easy to use for all levels. With this system you get the trainer (includes hand / foot grips), a door anchor, suspension anchor, storage bag, and QR code to get support and workouts from the accompanying TRX app. If you are using this indoors, place the door anchor at the corner (next to the hinge) of any door, shut and lock door, and you are ready to proceed with your workout. If you have the luxury to anchor this system, you can use the included anchor and set the desired height and distance. The system is highly adjustable, and I've personally seen anywhere from 5' to 6'6" tall individuals use the trainer without issue. I'm using this system both anchored to an interior door for when I travel, or anchored overhead in the basement when I'm at home. The workouts provided in the app are phenomenal, and you can customize to your skill level and comfort. If you find yourself looking for new workout routines there are a multitude of other workouts online you can search for. With the companion app you can register your system, get guided workouts, and track your workouts. In theory you can also connect monitoring sensors or Samsung Health which I haven't done, as well as find a Gym / Coach.who is TRX qualified. Overall a very enthusiastic two thumbs up.

As someone completely unfamiliar with strength training (only workout I've ever done is running), I found the app based approach of the TRX Strength Suspension system easy to understand and get behind. The video workouts are great and all very modern and well instructed. I travel frequently and love that I can put the straps and door mount in their included bag and toss them in my carry-on for use at the hotel. The app syncs with Samsung Health on my GS9+ and Fitbit. I'm sure it works with other health apps, but I'm limited to those examples at home. Overall I'm loving it and hoping to regain some strength and flexibility in my back and shoulders. Only problem I have is the included promo code for 8 workouts has to be input on the website, and not the app. That's what the card says so it's my fault for being confused when I couldn't find the option after I set up the app. For others who read this review but not the actual instructions, maybe you'll about that mistake.

I found that I really liked these... I don't have to many devices at home since I have a gym membership but I've been starting to run some spartan obstacle races and I found that the gym doesn't have all the different types of exercise I want. This enables me to work on several of those types of exercise in the comfort of my home. I put an anchor bolt from the ceiling in my garage and have been able to do a few strength exercises that I can build up to being able to lift my entire body. The over the door bag that comes with it works extremely well too. Granted make sure you are very light, the door is heavy duty, or you use the side of the door that makes it so that the door presses against the trim... I almost destroyed the first door I put it on. I would easily give the straps a five star review... however, it comes with a code to try an app with exercises and that is were I think it falls a little short. I liked the app itself however I wasn't able to link it to my activity tracker app (even though it auto detected which one I use and asked me to link it). I traced the reason to the simple fact that the app was asking for all permissions and in new android versions developers can't just ask for all permissions they need to ask for each on they need. Overall I really liked these, just the activity tracking from the guided exercises didn't work for me so I couldn't give it a full five star review.. however the physical product itself I really liked.

Nice home workout Great for Physical Therapy

I have been using the TRX system for 10 days now and other than a few qwerks, I enjoy using it for the Physical Therapy of my torn rotator cuff and the 5 herniated discs in my neck. There is many ways to mount the system, including the door strap but I bought a 3/8" eyelet bolt and mounted into a beam in my basement. There is many possibilities and exercises you can do using your own body weight. I focus on 10 specific from the videos from TRX and what I was shown in my PT sessions. I no longer have to pay out to go, I can stay home and get the same results. Make sure you mount it to a sturdy door, the strap can slip through on a loose door, found that out. Also, the straps are somewhat easy to adjust, sometimes they get bound up and make it difficult to adjust. It may be my fault but I have watched many videos and cannot figure out why mine act this way. The quality of the kit is on par with the best, thick straps and heavy duty stitching throughout. It holds my 230 lbs with ease. I have noticed a difference using the TRX system in the past 10 days faster than going to PT. It is truly a one size fits all system, even my 13 year old daughter is using it to get in shape for racing next season. Thanks TRX for making a great system, just make these buckles easier to adjust and add a big stopper top the door strap to hold it better.

This work out equipment comes right on time as I am desiring to do some core training targeting certain areas with intense-focus. I am elated at the fact that the equipment can be used indoors with something as simple as a door frame. Seemingly the material is durable as I have tried some strength training on my arms. My right hand is my dominant hand, but I have noticed as am getting older, I feel my overall arm weakening, but this is where this work out equipment comes in at –as I begin to strengthen those areas. I am truly elated to use these wonderful training materials and see what results I can achieve from its usage!

I got these for work to use at lunchtime. My physical therapist office had a set so I knew how therapeutic they’d be for me. They are great for body weight exercises as well as stretching exercises. I am not good at sitting at a desk all day so these allow me to quickly get some exercise and blood flow while at work. The straps feel very durable unlike resistance band I have used where you’re just waiting for the band to snap violently slap you. I feel very safe exercising with these suspended from my door doing body weight exercises.

confusing setup and exercises in beginning

Whats in the box: Door harness, suspension harness, handles and a carrying bag. Also a card with a free trial subscription to workouts. Setup: It was a big confusing. The setup card in the box was not much help and was pretty vague. I went to the website to get an account and help setting it up, and that was a process. I had to create an account, then type in a long access code, then type in the serial number of the harness. Then all I could get were more PDF's of exercises to do. Not really much help. I then found that there is an app, so I downloaded that. Once I got the app up and running, it was much more helpful. There are many videos, and it can sync with an Apple Watch for heart rate and other notifications which is helpful. I just wish the box directed me to do that, rather than just using vague PDF's. Use: Once you actually figure out how to set it up, the use is fairly easy. Good luck using the PDF's to figure out how to do an exercise though. Once I watched the videos on my phone, it was fairly easy to use. You have to adjust the length of the handles for different exercises. Once you get the hang of it, it is quick to do, but in the beginning it will take some fumbling around. Some of the exercises are good, some of them I feel are just a gimmick to use the device. The best part is that it is very portable, and can be used on basically any door. If you travel a lot, this would be easy to use in a hotel room. Overall: Not sure its totally worth the price. Confusing setup and I'm not completely sold on some of the exercises. If you travel a lot, its more worth it than just staying at home.

At first glance, there is not much to this. Although very well made, it is literally a couple of straps with loops and padded handles. The real value here is the number of exercises you can do with it and the downloadable digital content. Even without the digital content, this system comes with a pretty nice poster sized workout sheet that shows you 18 different exercises. Nine for burning calories and nine for strength training. The system comes in a nice little net carry bag which you can throw in your suitcase or back pack, a door anchor and a suspension anchor for high ceilings. The straps are easy to adjust for various exercises. It can be sort of annoying to have to adjust the straps for different exercises, but it also provides time for a breather between sets. The exercises themselves are well thought out and challenging. Bodyweight exercises are very effective and require minimal equipment to stay in shape. My wife and I travel quite a bit and have found this device to be a good way to get in some exercise time without having to use hotel gyms which are often not cleaned regularly and are germ infested. We printed out the PDFs for the various workouts and downloaded the workout videos to view on our tablet while working out. This is where the TRX system earns its value. The content is really well done! There are various videos that makes it feel like you’re working with a personal trainer. The bottom line is that you are not just buying straps with padded handles, you are buying a system that shows you many different exercises and other content to help you get and stay in shape.

Easily set up with a permanent ceiling anchor and easily set up using a door. The grips are comfortably padded and the belts a clearly quite strong. The accompanying guide gives you the basics and the online videos gives you routines. I love these and I need to be in better shape. These won't just be hanging around.

Any personal trainer will tell you that consistency is one of the biggest keys to getting (and staying) in shape. As a lifestyle professional, I often have to travel and/or find myself stuck at home without the energy to want to go to the gym but still wanting to exercise. That is where this TRX system excels. The equipment paired with the included workout programs available via the excellent, well-crafted app have worked in tandem to allow me to get my exercise done in a consistent, full body manner without having to be concerned with where I am located. Just a door frame and a few minutes of easy set up and I am ready to go. The strap based workouts involved in the core movements outlined in their material are challenging and a great change away from just doing none-equipment bodyweight based workouts. Altogether, I am super happy with this workout system and cannot recommend it enough, top to bottom.

I was immediately disappointed with the suspension trainer because I assumed it was similar to resistance training systems with the elastic bands. Unfortunately the suspension trainer is straps with an anchor and hand grips. The system basically just uses your body weight for resistance against the straps. You can adjust the amount of weight by increasing the angle of your body from the anchor point. Very simple system and it is very close to the straps I used when doing physical therapy for core strengthening after back surgery. The device itself is okay but I certainly don't think its worth the $150 you pay for it. I would think the biggest draw for this would be the workouts you can download once you register for an account. You can download PDFs of basic exercises but you might be able to find those online in the public domain. With your registration you receive a one year subscription (worth $50) for the phone app. So... it's not what I expected, it's expensive for what it is and then there is the $50/yr subscription fee once you get past the first year... if you even continue to use it after then. Not impressed! I'd give it zero stars if I could.

I thought this was some sort of portable work-out system and it is. However, I was not able to find a suitable place in my home where I could use the system without fear of damaging doors and/or trim. I don't recall seeing anything in the product description or on the box that indicated how this thing was supposed to be set up. I thought it was some sort of "elastic or band" resistance and it's just composed of solid straps and your body weight is supposed to create the workout. May work well if you can mount it over a door as instructed but I decided against doing so. If you're not willing to place it over a door or door frame, then keep looking.
