Great headphones. Clear and Immersive.

The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 are my first pair of wired headphones. My son's and my gaming noise was starting to disturb the girls. Our place is 1,350, so unless in another room with the door closed, we're pretty much near each other. Disturbing homework homework was becoming commplace. So instead of the back and forth about volume, the simple solutions was a headphone. I'd resisted getting a wired set slightly, but my gamer nephew swears by wires for lack of latency.
Very impressed. For any headphones, comfort is key. These completely cover my ears, so there's no pressure on them. They fit well and as I wore them, they seemed to just disappear. That's exactly how good headphones should feel. Next would be sound, and the sound is great. It's very immersive. I feel like I'm completely in the game. Voices came through clearly and I made sure to ask how I sounded since these are new for me, and everyone said that my voice came through clearly. I experienced nothing but clear sounds and voices. I'd say that these headphones improved my gaming experience.
On top of all those things, the feel like quality headphones. The don't feel light and cheaply made, but as I mentioned, they disappeared as I played and I didn't feel weighted by them. I would recommend these Turtle Beach - Atlas 200 to anyone.

These are a pretty standard set of wired headphones. I took it out of the box and connected to the Aux on my Xbox controller. The audio was immediately connected.
Game Play,
I found the sound really good and the sounds during game play very spatial. If someone was walking behind me, it sounded and felt like it. They were very precise and immersive. I found the sound just ok as far as loudness. I turned them all the way up and they were just ok. I did find a few times the sound cut out but I just assumed that is from the connection through the controller. When talking via chat I found the others heard me well and they could not hear when my dog barked. The cord was plenty long as it did not feel like I was tied to my controller. I actually like the wired because it is one less thing to worry about being charged. The flip up to mute was user friendly and I like that there was not a big puffy foam end on the microphone. Just the standard slime profile. I also like the headband since it is made of an adjustable mesh fabric which is nice since it gives my head room to breathe vs the fully padded headsets.
The only Cons are I wish it came in other colors and had a better integration for PC. I used it for PC but it did not sound nearly as good.

Great sound and comfort for corded headset

These are some of my favorite corded over the ear headsets I have used. I really enjoy the 3d audio as you can really hear everything when playing a game. I personally didn’t experience any issues with the audio connection to either my laptop or my gaming console. I used it fo gaming, movies and online meetings and these worked out really well. I usually do not prefer over the ear due to ear fatigue and your ears getting sweaty when it’s warm out. But these are so comfortable and you don’t get ear fatigue unless you are wearing them for over 8 hours. I watched a couple of action movies and was pleasantly surprised by the sound through them. I really liked the boom mic that if you want to mute instead of pressing a small button on the cord you just flip the mic up. No fumbling or forgetting to mute or unmute yourself. These headsets are comfortable and fit great and are very lightweight. I used to buy cordless but then your batteries need to be charged or sometimes the sound is delayed. I will definitely purchase more of these in the future.

Another great headset from turtle beach

Not surprised but this was another great turtle beach product. We have several now, a wireless is mainly used for gaming on a pc and a wired we use with the Xbox. It was time to upgrade the wired headset and this was a solid pick. It has a nice sturdy build and feels like it will last awhile. Doesn’t feel flimsy at all so I’m not worried about the kids using it and potentially breaking it. Sound quality is great. Tested it out with a few different games and had no issue hearing music or game play. Volume can go quite loud if you’d like but even at lower volume it was very clear. I like the headband type fit for this headset and found it comfortable to wear with glasses which isn’t always easy to find. The mic was clear and others on the squad had no complaints with how I sounded. The cord is a nice length and thick enough it should hold up to repeated use. Plug and play style is nice when you share with kids so I appreciated that aspect. My only mild complaint is I wish it came in more color options but that’s a preference more than anything.

good headphones ruined by their pricetag.

TL;DR - The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 wired headphones are a little expensive for what they are. For the price, I'd expect better overall audio quality and build quality. The mic is okay, the drivers cover the full spectrum of audio we can hear but focus too much on highs and lows, and for those of us with large heads, they're not very comfortable.
Unboxing and first impressions:
They're packaged well, with molded cardboard instead of foam inserts. I'm great with this as it means packaging is safer for the environment. The headphones themselves look good, with soft foam earcups that give a true over-ear experience, a mesh insert under the headband, and black matte plastic that doesn't feel cheap. However, considering the price, the earcups to being able to rotate and the adjustable portion of the headband being limited to how adjustable it is took away from the positives. I'm not a fan of fixed cables or mics as well, but considering these are entry-level headphones and probably aimed at tweens and teens for the market demographic, I understand why this is the case.
Usage:
These are plug-and-play simple. Does your device have a 3.5mm headphone jack? Plug in and go. Using it with a phone or another device that requires a dongle for the headphone connection? It works great with those adapters. No software to install, no batteries to charge.
The head strap uses hook-and-loop to adjust the spacing for your head. However, it's not meant for people like me who have large heads, so if you have a large head, this will probably be uncomfortable. The ear cups are quite nice though - soft foam padding seals out most sounds and they are true over-ear for the fit.
The audio quality is okay-ish. I prefer gaming headphones that have more of a focus on midrange than lows. I do appreciate the highs for in-game, as it makes it easier to "hear" where enemies and squadmates are. When using DTS:X and Dolby Atmos, audio headphone is pretty terrific as the headphone drivers aren't directly on or in your ears, giving spacial audio a chance to work properly.
Keep in mind that audio quality of these headphones will directly correlate to the audio output quality of whatever you attach them to. I used several computers and other devices to test these out. The best experiences were with an Apple iPad (9th gen), my laptop (Gigabyte Aero X16), and a desktop stereo system (Panasonic bookshelf stereo system). Inline USB-C to headphone adapters were adequate but didn't get as loud.
The biggest drawback here, however, is the price. For what this cost, I'd expect rotating earcups and better adjustability, especially with these being wired. If they were half or two-thirds the price, I'd give them another star, but you can get similar gaming headphones with similar sound quality for less money. (If you can catch them on sale for 1/3 off or more, they'd be a better value.)
Still, all in all, the Atlas 200 gaming headphones aren't bad. I'd just like to see the fitment and quality of life issues addressed in the successor model, especially at this price.

Quietly decent

This headphone set is comfortable, the ear pieces produce a really snug fit that almost drowns out outside noise, and the microphone captures voice with good sound reproduction and excellent clarity, but there's one aspect of these headphones that's kind of a deal breaker - they have a low maximum volume. This is a shame, too, since the build quality is nice and you won't have to worry about these headphones slipping off. But everything that comes through the ear pieces is so quiet... there is some kind of cap or limit on volume built in that's aggressively low, and this really negatively impacts the experience you'll have with this headset. The relatively low volume also makes it hard to distinguish low bass or high treble sounds, to the point where I can't really comment on the headset's ability to reproduce sounds in these ranges, because I couldn't hear them very well. The midrange is reproduced with good quality and accuracy, but the high end and bass simply feel like they're missing. If it weren't for this issue, this headset would be an excellent set and easy recommendation. The build quality is nice, band you get a durable (arguably bulky) headset for a reasonable price with these headphones. The mic works well, too, and includes the excellent "flip to mute" feature which more headsets should. But you might have a little bit of trouble hearing everything that's going on in either the game mix or the sound mastering of a movie or Tab show you may be watching. The headset also is limited to a stereo plug connection, so if you want or need a wireless connection you'll have to look elsewhere.
In short, these headphones look great and they're comfortable, but they struggle with great sound reproduction because of some strange limitation on volume built into the hardware.

The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 Wired Gaming Headphones is a pretty basic, classic wired headset.
The build quality is solid, a mix of materials and generous soft padding with memory foam ear cushions. At only 0.62 lbs they do not feel heavy but depending on your head size, the headband may clamp a bit tight, therefore not super comfortable for prolonged periods of time. I do wear a large size helmet for my real-life car racing hobbies, so I start feeling the squeeze from these headphones after a couple of hours of gaming. I recently had to start wearing reading glasses and they fit just fine with the Atlas 200, so that’s a plus.
I really like the classic flip-up microphone to mute or just get it out of the way when you’re only listening to the in-game sound or music and not chatting in multi-player games. One of the greatest features of these headphones is the true multi-platform compatibility with all major game consoles such as Xbox, PlayStation and PCs.
The sound quality is about average but I find the volume is not loud enough out of the 50mm drivers that cover a wide frequency range. I have them plugged into a monitor that gets its sound from a Windows 11 PC over an HDMI cable. I’ve been told my voice comes across clearly on the other end, just a bit more pronounced on the high frequencies. These are still more of a budget headphone that does not compare with others costing twice as much.

These are pretty good headphones if you just need something basic without too many fancy features, as well as something comfortable.
The sound quality is good, and the headphones will block out enough outside noise unless you're in an extremely loud environment. There's also no set-up involved for the headset itself, though depending on what device you are using, you may have to set up options on the device's side. Also, as far as I can tell, these should be compatible with just about anything that has a standard headphone jack.
I'm a bit concerned about the microphone's function being activated by moving it down, as I feel this could cause it to wear down over time, but this will depend on how much you use it to talk.
The other minor nitpick I have is the location of the volume control, which is on the back of the left headphone. It can be a bit difficult to feel for, and doesn't feel as intuitive as having one placed on the cord.
Overall, this is a good starter if you just need something to listen to music or voice-chat with privacy.

I got this headset for my daughter to use on the Xbox One. The one highlight was that I didn't have any issues setting it up. Other than that though, it is a pretty lackluster piece of hardware.
The headset has a tight fit - so if that is your thing maybe you will like it - but even on my teenage daughter's head it was too tight. I tried it myself, having a large head, and I do not think I could wear it for any significant amount of time. The elastic band on the top is aggressive for lack of a better word. The ear phones themselves are not big enough, and neither of us has large ears as far as I know.
Though there was not any sound quality issues necessarily during use, but both what was coming from the headphones and what was sent over the microphone seemed, I do not know, muted? Like there was cheesecloth or something inbetween. Yes you could hear them and vice versa from the get go, but we have had other headsets, including from Turtle Beach, that just sounded better. We adjusted the headphones themselves, and even attempted to do so via the XBox without any relief.
