It does the job and feels comfortable but would be nice to have both wired and wireless options somehow. They're very professional looking. $250 is a decent price point, but at $200 this is a no brainer.

The headset sound is amazing, I have heard people complain that the sound was not loud enough but those people must be deaf or something cause the headset does the job especially for COD and Apex. They are also really comfortable even with glasses.

Lets get to the point - there'sn'thing that would prompt me to spend more than $100 on a good pair of headphones. Sure, these are built like a tank and are very comfortable, but so are every other set of headphones that I have. I really just couldn't justify spending this type of money on headphones. The sound quality is great and brings games to life, but again, I can see no good reason to spend 4-5 times the amount that I would on a game for a pair of headphones that I would use to play the game. And yes, they are extremely comfortable, but so are my less expensive ones - if I am wearing headphones so long that they get comfortable, that's my body's way of saying to get up and do something other than play a game! I guess it comes down to priorities - personally, I can't justify the price tag on these, then again my priority isn't looking good at an E-sports tournament ! But for others, if price is no object, then these are probably the absolute best headphones you're going to find!

PS4 Wired Headset of the Year!

On the PS4 this headset is simply amazing! I don't use it on PC so I cannot speak for that type of usage. The 7.1 works great in games like Division 2 and COD Black Ops 4, and the amp definitely does it job. This headset is also very light and comfortable, much lighter than most wireless headsets.

This is a very comfortable gaming headset. It does not start to annoy your ears after wearing for a few hours like some other headphones I've tried out. Its very comfortable and soft. I really like how clear and crisp the sound is. A person running from a distance sounds like they are running from a distance. The sounds are so clear, you feel like you are actually in the game. Set-up was very easy and connection to the app was a cinch. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the sound quality when you connect through the superamp. It is supposed to enhance the sound, but it'sn't doing that. The sound is actually better if I just connect directly onto my remote. The superamp does work well when I connect my phone to get calls while playing games and the call is clear on my end and the receiving person's end. The call actually rings right into my headset which is awesome. I love that feature. I also love how you can play music while gaming. There isn't anything I really don't like about the headset except trying to figure out the connection through the superamp instead of on the remote. I can def live with that though. I would still recommend it.

The Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset with Elite SuperAmp Bluetooth Audio Controller for PlayStation 4 is a great headset. The big difference between this headset and others is the volume of the headset. Normally most PS4 headsets are lower volume due to the game controllers not being powered enough. This headset however with the AMP is loud enough for me especially next to the other ones I have used. It is really comfortable, and it has excellent sound. The Dynamic Chat BoostT automatically boosts incoming chat volume over game audio so I was able to communicate perfectly and clearly with the game sound still loud and clear. I was able to wear my glasses while also wearing the headset. My ears did not get hot wearing the headset. The only thing I wish is that these were wireless for the price, but otherwise I am fully satisfied. The quality is top-notch on these head phones. I would highly recommend them.

Turtle Beach has always ruled the roost when it comes to gaming headsets and these are no exception. They plug directly into the gaming console of the controller and have great sound and are comfortable to wear and put your right in all of the action with immersive bass and serious audio feedback. I felt like I was right in the game and the super amp added more powerful sound to every game I was playing! Highly recommended.

I wish I would have found this a few weeks ago as It had been recently gifted after I had already bought a HyperX headset. For starters and where it really matters. The sound quality has been excellent. I can hear things I didn't notice before and my friends seem to be able to hear me clearly as well. I honestly have messed with the super amp all that much but it does function well and add a little versatility to the headset. The microphone is detachable and the ear cups are super comfortable. I wear glasses and have had no issues. If you are a gamer, you can't go wrong with these especially if you can get them on sale.

The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 + Super Amp for PS4 Pro and PS4 headset is a very nice wired sound experience for the PS4. They are comfortable to wear during long sessions and seem geared for FPS games that use team chat. To use the headset, you plug in the headset cable into the Super Amp Audio Controller (puck), and the puck plugs into the PS4 USB slot. The cord is quite lengthy so sitting far away from the PS4 isn't an issue. However, it does effectively tether the wireless controller. There are volume and mute controls on the puck, along with some LEDs. It can be a stretch to reach for the puck to adjust the volume mid-game; there are no cord controls or controls on the headset itself. The headset is simply a different setup than other popular wireless headsets. Most features are controlled through an app for your iPhone or Android phone. The app connects to the headset via a Bluetooth connection that was average in quality. The main features of the app include an audio equalizer and the ability to either boost or kill chat. The chat boost is especially useful in team FPS games with loud action that can drown out the voices of your team. The headset itself has a tension band underneath the bridge that takes the weight off of the head. The ear pads were comfortable over my ears and had the added bonus of a slot where the stem of my glasses could fit so that my glasses don't get squeezed against my upper cheek. I loved that feature. The sound quality was very nice. I used the setting for boosted bass and treble and I could hear small details clearly within games. There is a bit of an echo feel to the sound, but that may be a result of the feature that boosts the sounds of footsteps within the game. Once you setup how you like your sound via the app, I don't think that the echoes will be a big deal. Overall, this is a nice wired headset for the PS4. I had some small issues but the quality of the headset build, audio, and app makes this a contender for best wired audio on the PS4.

This Turtle Beach Headset is a great buy for anyone looking for a comfortable and immersive gaming experience. Playing for hours at a time never felt fatiguing. I found myself getting lost in the game without realizing what time it was and who was around me. The drawback to these headphones are all the cables needed to use the SuperAmp. They are long enough to where you can play from a distance on a couch or in your bedroom but they do get in the way a bit. Connecting everything is very simple and the sound quality with the included SuperAmp is great with being able to distinguish 360 degree sound and be able to pinpoint with accuracy where it's coming from in the game. If I had to change one thing it would be going wireless. Overall these are a great buy and they feel sturdy enough to last me a long time. The mic sounds okay on the other side of it but I would still recommend this headset to anyone looking for more control over their video game sound with great build quality and comfort ability.

I love these headphones. I have neighbors, so I can't always play my ps4 through my home theater setup. These definitely do the trick. They sound fantastic. The clarity and bass is excellent. Very big sound from this headset. The mic is also very good. I transmit my voice very clearly and it seems to cut out the background noise so my teammates can easily understand me. They fit great and are very comfortable to wear.I am very pleased to own these and definitely give Turtle Beach a big thumbs up.

UNBOXING, AND INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: The packaging is better than most I've seen. Honestly, that's about all I can say in this area. While most manufacturers are doing better at "environmentally-friendly" packaging, including Turtle Beach, they still have a way to go before they can truly claim "environmentally-friendly". As for initial impression, all I can say is "WOW!!!" Nice-looking, quality materials, and built-to-last. My only'disappointment' in this area is the black & silver color scheme.I MUCH prefer the all-black w/ red accent of the original Elite Pro. It's a bit more understated than the original.but, at the same time, it won't attract unwanted attention. COMFORT & EASE OF OPERATION: The ear pads are thick enough to be comfortable for extended wearing, but, at the same time, are more breathable than most other thick-padded cans. The padding along the top of the head, while not as thick, is still quite comfortable, plus the rigid metal band helps keep everything solidly in place. The only downside to the metal band is that those with smaller heads (I'm "borderline") won't get a nice seal, thus outside sound can "leak" in. overall, fit's still quite good, and better than some others. For those with larger heads, you will have a nice, comfortable, tight seal, so consider that a huge "plus". The controls are fairly simplistic, which some will like, and others will hate. The in-line control controls only the mic (on/mute), while the remainder of the control is handled by the Super Amp. The app is how the majority of adjustments are made, and, unfortunately, I really haven't had a lot of time to play around with the settings. The Super Amp is, essentially, an external USB "sound card", when connected to a computer. It can also connect directly to an Xbox One, or PS4, depending on which version you get. The Super Amp supports Dolby 5.1-channel mixing, as well as DTS-X, plus it has a (limited) 3-band EQ (hi, mid, low) SOUND QUALITY: For gaming, this is where the Elite Pro 2 shines.and what it's designed for. The simulated surround sound is extremely good.one of the best I've had the pleasure of experiencing. Sound f/x are clean, clear, and loud, and, while direction isn't perfect (for that, you need a TRUE surround-sound system with individual speakers), again, it's one of the best. The only downside might be the microphone. While clear enough for chat, it lacks the crisp, clean sound one would expect from something in this price range. My recommendation would be to use a dedicated USB mic, and forget about using the Elite Pro 2's mic. Switching over to music for a quick minute, while the audio is quite good, it's a bit bass-heavy. However, there are plenty of people who will appreciate this, and consider this to be a "plus" (I'm not one of them). THE GOOD: . Very comfortable . Excellent sound quality . High-quality build . Bluetooth THE BAD: . App needs some serious improvement (based on pro reviews I've read) . Heavy bass . Sound "leak" for those with smaller heads . Price - At $250, it could be better THE UGLY: . Honestly, nothing I could think of FINAL VERDICT: Overall sound is very good.better, in fact, than many others in the same price range. At the same time, there are others in the same price range that are better. Does this mean you should avoid the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2? In a word, "no". if you want to save some money, and don't need the 'Super Amp', get the original Elite Pro (the sweet-looking black w/ red accent), which uses the exact same drivers. However, if you want/need the 'Super Amp', like the idea of customizing the audio (via the app) and/or have a need/'want' for Bluetooth connectivity, then the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 could be your ticket. Disclaimer: This product was provided free, or at reduced cost, for the purpose of reviewing the product. Nevertheless, the above review, be it positive, negative, or anywhere in-between, is a 100% honest review, and the price paid played absolutely no part in my review.

Upon receiving this headset and unboxing it I was pleasantly surprised at the craftsmanship and quality. I am quite a bit of a audiophile. I love sound quality. These definitely don't disappoint. The crisp clear highs and the deep pounding bass in such a small package was pretty amazing. I am a big FPS fan so surround sound is a must. With these having the capability of literally hearing footsteps around you and knowing where and what direction as if you're in the game and can almost feel their footsteps around you is awesome. The thick soft cushioning on the ear surrounds as well as the band that goes across the top of your head makes hours of gaming both comfortable and enjoying. Turtle Beach lives up to their reputation with these once again. I can't think of one negative thing to this headset. Personal preference I like to have an internal microphone which is about the only thing I would change but the Microphone it does use picks up every word and sound. My friends complimented me on how much better this one sounded in comparison to mine and other peoples mics in the game. Would highly recommend this to others

While I'm a fan of Turtle Beach and have really liked the two previous models I still own, this one was a little disappointing. Yes, the sound quality is fantastic as expected and for being fairly large and bulky, they are comfortable to wear for several hours at a time. The small channel you can configure through the ear pieces to accommodate eye glass frames is a nice touch, too. The disappointing thing, though, was all the cabling that's necessary between the PS4, SuperAmp, and the headset. If they had just put a volume control on the headset cord next to the mute button, then you could at least plug the headset into the PS4 controller and use them that way. But the SuperAmp is the only place to adjust the volume, and you have to keep it near you so you can adjust it. It, in turn, has to be connected via USB cable to the PS4. All of this causes problems if you have kids, pets, or any other kind of traffic between you and the PS4 while playing. The SuperAmp does provide bluetooth connectivity which is kind of a nice feature. This lets you hear your phone notifications, etc. through the headset while playing. You don't have any portability, though, since it's tied to the SuperAmp. Also, some people probably would rather not have the phone interruptions while in the middle of a game. So, because of the cabling issues and given the price, I'd really rather have a wireless (or mostly wireless) headset for gaming. I feel bad saying it because I really like Turtle Beach, but I think there are better options out there than this particular model.

I really like this headset/amp combo. You can connect it to a PS4 or a PC. I currently have it with my PS4 Pro. It comes with decent length optical, usb and headset cables. I seat about 7 feet from my PS4 and I still have cable slack. Some people may prefer a wireless solution, but having cables you have a pure digital connection. No wireless hiss or interference. The sound is outstanding and the surround sound is effective, as it gets it from the optical digital output from the PS4, you have to select dolby digital bitstream. The headset can be connected to your phone via their app. There you can tune the headset to your preference. Has many presets and you can customize them, oh, and it allows you to get calls and media from your phone directly to the headset via Bluetooth!! No more taking the headset off for calls! The app may alert you of a new firmware update, which I recommend keep up to date, oh and it can only be updated on a PC with their windows app. Just make sure you plug it in while holding the Bluetooth pairing button for it to update it. The surround sound is great and doesn't sound fake (at least with their signature sound profile). I can pin point sounds spatially and doesn't sound like a reverberating theater. I tried their super human hearing, supposedly helps you pin point steps and gun shots better, but I found it was too fake. The regular surround just worked great. They were very comfy and have a special grove for glasses wearing people, great! One tip and one caveat: Make sure you push hard all the way in the mic! I thought it was in but wasn't getting any voice picked up, I had to push it all the way in hard! Only caveat is I wish the amp had more functions, rather than just volume. Like their tactical amp they have. Maybe add more controls on it like treble, bass, chat mix etc. All has to be done via their phone app. Apart from that, the only other control is mic mute via a switch on the headset cable. Also, you will get sound from the PS4 to your tv, at the same time to you headset. This isn't the headsets fault, as the PS4 is designed to output sound from any cables available (the hdmi going to your tv). It can be solved by muting the tv (if there isn't a persistent mute icon, or as in my case, lowering the volume on the tv all the way down). Other than this, its a great headset!!

After testing the Turtle Beach - Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset for a few weeks I genuinely love some of the things about this headset that other manufacturers could take note of: . They're super-comfortable, even after extended use . The controls on the headset are easy to use . The "glasses" design in the headset help with the comfort-not just a gimmick! . It includes an optical cable!!! . The sound is terrific, and I'm told the mic is very clear I tried them on both my computer and my PS4-it's honestly a bit better set-up for my computer, as my PS4 is in my living room and my couch is kind of far away. I have to sit closer than I want if I want to use the wired amp (which is recommended, sounds better, and requires the optical cable), and I have to be extra careful with the cords. They can also be used as a straight headset plugged right into the controller, and still sound good, just not AS good. The PC set-up is a bit easier to work with the wires (they're very long for a PC, but not quite long enough for a couch 10-feet away from the TV) and the sound there is also very good. You can switch between the modes easy enough with the app, but the app can take a bit to figure out. The AMP also has controls on it, though, again, they're easier to use with the PC and the AMP sitting right in front of you than with the PS4 and it sitting somewhere between you and the TV. The glasses comfort design of the headset actually works and helps ease the usual pain caused by wearing headphones for an extended period of time over glasses-it's now one of my favorite features on any headset! It's also pretty important on these as they're fairly heavy. The other nice feature is the "cooling" cup design--it genuinely works as well--my ears did not get noticeably hot or sweaty at any time while using these. The biggest drawback to these, by far, is all the cords that are required for the best sound. They're pretty much not an option in my living room as between my dog and my kids someone is going to rip out a wire somewhere, and possibly cause some serious damage to something. If you don't mind the wires (or are using them with a PC where wires typically aren't a big deal) then these are some fantastic sounding, very comfortable headphones.

This was my 1st set of headphones specifically for gaming. Amazing. I had no idea what I was missing. I'm 44 and I suck at Fortnite. I hate losing but I have a wife, 3 kids and a business to run so I don't play often and that means that after playing once in a while for 5-6 months I still suck. If I wanted to play at night after the kids were in bed, the volume was so low I couldn't hear chests, enemies, etc. which led to being shot in the back a lot. With the Turtle Beach headphones I hear everything. Seriously, everything. I can hear birds chirping in the trees. I didn't even know there were bird sounds in the game. I can tell if footsteps are coming and which direction they're coming from. Behind me on the left, in front to the right, the directional accuracy is amazing. They are so comfortable I forget they're there. The headband fits everyone in my family from me to my 4 year old. The app is simple and allows for an unnecessary number of customizations. My only complaint is the cords! They are long enough to sit comfortably on the couch about 8' from the TV but they're constantly being tripped over by 3 kids under 10 and 2 big dogs. I know that wired connections are better and I can't fault a wired device for being wired so the benefits far outweigh the inconvenience of picking up after myself. I still suck at Fortnite but now instead of getting shot in the back because I can't hear my enemies sneaking up on me, I get shot in the face like a man. I'm working on it.

I am testing the Elite Pro 2 with Super AMP wired. Really wanted to give this 4.5 stars. The build quality is outstanding. Feels like a grownup version of the original Elite 800 headset. Its comfortable, easy on the ears and head even after hours of use. I only tested this on the PS4 and will follow-up on PC gaming. The metal headband is next level and the memory foam ear cushions really do feel great. The 50mm Nanoclear is new and I was waiting to see if it lives up to the Hype. I can say without a doubt it does. Though to tweak this just right you have to use an app (as with many other products) for customization but it's worth the effort. The app is also great for the amplified setting. I was actually quite surprised to hear how good the audio was for both music and movies. Tested on Pandora and Vudu and like I said I was quite pleased with the quality of the audio. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because of the app. It should be easier to adjust levels without stopping to set it up in the app. At this price point, this is close to a 5-star headset as I have tested. Great work Turtle Beach

Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 + SuperAmp for PS4 Pro & PS4. Adding a comfortable, amplified, surround headphone set for gaming raises the entire experience to the next level. The Elite Pro 2 offers players of multiplayer shooter games a uniquely focused, well made, set of headphones. They offer specialized features to help you gain an advantage. SETUP: Plug in the medium length headphone cable into the SuperAmp Audio Controller (small puck), and then the puck has a very long cable to connect to PC/PS4. For a PC, you're adding a cable/puck to your setup. For the PS4 this means your PS4 controller is no longer wireless, having added this long cable across your living room, with the puck about a third of the way to the TV. Because the volume control is on the puck, fiddling with the volume easily may be a stretch, literally. A normal, non-powered set of headphones can be plugged straight into your PS4 controller so it's a bit of a step backwards here. It requires no particular setup from your PC or PS4. Plug it in to USB and you're ready to go. My PS4 does not have the optical output option, so I didn't get to try that. Controlling settings requires installing an app on your iphone (iphone/android). I tested with an Android (Sony Xperia Compact). Everything works once you bluetooth pair, but it drops bluetooth a lot. You can rely on it to connect, change a setting or two, and then your time's up. Reconnecting is easy but annoying to have to keep doing. The app lets you tweak settings like your audio equalizer, and do tricks like boost chat with your teammates over the game sound (or kill chat if you don't like people). You must connect with your phone to tweak everything (Example: built in modes like Game, Movie, Music, Stereo), but it's cumbersome. PERFORMANCE: The puck feels nice, the dial feels well-made and heavy and has a bunch of customizable LEDs if you like shiny things and bright lights. The large around-the-ear cups are reasonably comfortable for average-sized heads set to the largest option. Larger heads could feel tight. The headphones have built-in spacing in the earpads for glasses. @@@@@@@@ The interior of the pad has a little gap under the covers, so your glasses don't get smooshed against your head. @@@@@@@ Voices and small sounds come through clearly. Sound effects and explosions have good weight when the volume is loud enough. @@@@@@@@ Tested with the end battle scene of Rogue One, bits of end fight of Deadpool). Unfortunately it sounds like everything is being run through a DSP that's set to 'Stadium'. There's an odd 'big and echo-y' effect even when there's a scene with two people talking quietly in a small room. I couldn't see any way to change that from the settings. While playing games that are about running around and shooting things, I was no longer aware of the echoes. In fact, in the right games, they present an accurate reflection of the scene. Experimenting on my PC, I plugged the headphones straight into my Fiio headphone amp instead of the provided puck. It cleaned up the weird DSP echo effect immediately, but I suspect it also means I don't get surround sound inside my headphones. SUMMARY: The main tricks the Elite Pro 2 headphones from Turtle Beach can do are (1) boost the audio of people talking over the game, so that in noisy battles with explosions you can still hear your teammates, and (2) you can have them boost quiet sounds, so if you're sneaking around, you'll hear enemies more easily. I think it's fair to say they are tailored to a niche market of multiplayer Gamers, which they serve quite well, if you're OK with a few ergonomic quirks. The fit, feel and thoughtful design add to the positive impression.
