Pros

Looks like there aren't enough positive mentions yet.

Cons

  • Also be aware that the USB connection is quite odd, it would only recognize the headset if it was plugged directly into a USB port on the mother board.Gallium83

Straight to the point. This is the PC version of the sister Model: TBS-2010-01 SKU 5153900. I was hoping to alleviate the previous models need for the mix amp (Tactical Audio Controller SKU: 519700) Several people complained that the headset was too quiet when using the 3.5mm headphone jack w/out the amp. I can tell you as of the release of this model, the USB connection has the same issue!! It is soooo quiet even with your pc volume at 100% and the slider on the wire also maxed. This headset comes with the 3.5mm jack as well, but unless you have the mix amp, you can not use your microphone when plugged directly into the computer using the 3.5mm connection. Keep in mind that the mix amp is incredible difficult to find for purchase and is another $150 on top of the $200 you have already spent. Also I found this headset to be extremely heavy compared to others that I have used in the past (regardless of other reviews) and within 10 minutes of wearing it my neck was feeling the weight. Also the sliders at the top that adjusts how tight the headphones fit do nothing… so much for a patent pending feature. Also be aware that the USB connection is quite odd, it would only recognize the headset if it was plugged directly into a USB port on the mother board. If you try to use the forward USB ports on your case it would not recognize it. (I am using a custom PC with Windows 10, a Gigabyte mother board, Sound Blaster Z audio card and a full size Corsair Graphite Series 790T case) I have given my review 2 stars only for the fact that the audio is clear with amazing directional sound with the 7.1 features enabled. Overall a dud with a 1 star experience. I will be returning this headset immediately and can not recommend this to anyone until the above issues are resolved.

sound is great when connected to the T.A.C. , I have issues with the headband tension causes my ears to hurt after wearing for a while. they say they don't have anymore adjustments to improve it. SO be cautious
