I was looking for a decent headset that I could use for both my PC and Xbox One that wasn't too expensive. I found this and finally decided to get this after reading most of the reviews. It's a great headset that's not outrageously expensive. It's much better than my old one where they became uncomfortable after a while. I've never had over the ear headset before, it's comfortable never get tired or sore from wearing it especially after playing for hours. I really like that you can take off the mic and just use it as headphones if you want. Easy to use with Xbox by just plugging it into the controller. It works for PC but you'll need a Male to Female Headset Microphone Audio splitter. They're pretty cheap lucky for me I had an old adapter lying around.

We picked this headset up looking for a replacement to the standard xbox live headset. Overall, it works very well. The mic picks up speech very clearly. It is also quite comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. I would say the one small negative for the headset is that the sound on it is a little bit tinny and flat compared to other stereo headsets we have had in the past. It still is good enough for general gameplay, but if you are looking for something that sounds loud and "full", you may want to go with a different headset. On the positive side, this headset seems so far to be pretty high quality for the money and seems to be constructed from better materials, so we are hoping that it will last longer as a result. (We have had pretty poor luck with any headset from any brand lasting longer than a half a year). In any case, I would recommend this headset at the price it is selling for. It is a nice one.

I found this headset at various stores and Best Buy was the cheapest. I have had no issues with this headset. I use it with the Xbox one stereo adapter and the sound quality is great. The ear pieces fit comfortably even during long periods of gaming. Overall great headset for the price of $40. I would recommend this to any novice gamer.

These headphones are really nice and comfortable. You can adjust them and the microphone has a on/off button which is very handy. You can remove the microphone as well which is very nice. They are good quality and the sound is amazing. You can use them for your pc as well! I love them!

Excellent headphone for the price. The headphone has a really good sound and the ear cushions are really comfortable and fitting. The only problem is the ear jack can easily rip off the wire or bend if you’re not careful.

Got them for my nephew. He is not the best when keeping his stuff from breaking, but these headphones have proven themselves time and time again. Plus the sound on these are really good for being a basic model.

I wanted a quality headset but at a lower budget. The 50X fits the bill. Sound quality is good, and volume is plenty loud unlike some other reviews I've read. Mine is lower than 50% most times and I rarely need to raise it. I like the in-line volume control and mic mute switch. The adapter that balances game & chat volumes does not come with this headset, but I am glad because I don't want to add more bulk to my controller and those options are in the Xbox quick settings panel anyway. Once I found a good balance I never needed to go back, but I don't play a big variety of multiplayer games so certain titles may need more adjusting. The foam pads on the ears are comfortable, and I like that the mic is removable and easily adjustable. My only gripe is that with the headset fully extended, the piece that rests on top of my head is a bit tight, leading to discomfort during longer sessions. I have a large head so this may not be a problem for others, and repositioning usually helps to an extent. Other than that, I think this is a hard value to beat.

Excellent sound and auto. Works great for the kids when the adults don't want to hear anything.

Bought these for my son for use with his Xbox One. Turtle Beach has always been a leading brand and these are no different. He says they are very comfortable. I tried them out and the sound quality is good. The mic can be removed and the headset can be used as regular headphones. Really good value for the price.

The sound level doesn't go up very high. And I don't like where the mute button is because it's hard to mute/unmute midgame. But the headphones work well, and are durable. And it doesn't take time to set them up or figure out how to use them! Not common for turtle beach headsets. Also other people say they can hear me just fine, so i know that the microphone works well too! :)

Best-some bother my ears or head after lengthy time of wear. these breath well, block outside noise and has great voice on other side. very comfortable and would recommend over and over. have three sets now and no issues at all for over a year

The headphones are comfortable and durable, so far they have lasted longer than most of my other headphones and they're cheap so that's a plus, do take in notice when it comes to turtle beach their product always seems of high quality so dont hesitate to choose between their headphone models since most of them are good even if they're older model.

They’re really durable and they sound good. Would recommend if you need a mic on the cheaper side

I purchased these in order to replace the JVC headphones because I could not get the mic to work. These worked perfectly. We plugged it in and it worked right away. The sound is excellent and the headset is comfortable. Price was very reasonable.

My child needed a headset for school, wanted over year and cool color. This had all, and even detachable mic for gaming. Sound quality is good and wish the volume could be tad higher. Excellent affordable headset.

This is a great headset if you travel to friend's places or want to have one to knock around a bit and still be functional. Low price, decent quality. Meets expectations. Dropped it a few times and still works well.
