Headset is great but not useful for my purpose

This mic doesn't work of you're in a game where some users are on xbox and some are on playstation. My son is barely able to use them because a lot of his friends play on playstation. But for other games on the xbox they work perfectly, just not Fortnite. The headset is wonderful quality though and we were able to use them as headphones on a roadtrip with a portable DVD player and the sound quality was amazing.

I don’t ever have a issue hearing people’s footsteps. Not the most flashy or high tech red neck headset on the market, but if you are on a budget and want a good headset these do the job!!

Purchased these at the beginning of the pandemic since the kids' social interaction would be largely digital. Went with a blue one (PS4) and green one (xbox) since that happens to be their favorite colors.

Upgraded to this slightly better than base mode after some Walmart brand headset crapped out on me. I’ve had this for like 3 months now, and only just started having a minor issue where my headset will randomly not pick up my voice and I will have to unplug and reset my Xbox and then replug back in after it boots up. Not the hugest issue but definitely annoying when it happens in the middle of a sweaty warzone clutch and you can’t hear your team. Luckily I got geek squad protection on it for two years for super cheap so whenever it dies on me in another six months I’ll just get it replaced.

Excellent value for the money. This set has been a fantastic in game edge versus the old fashion playing of sound from the TV. Definitely recommend.
