Good sound, but no mic-monitoring

Sound quality isn't as good as some of the higher-end Turtle Beach headsets, but is still acceptable. My only gripe is there is no mic-monitoring, which makes it difficult to judge the volume of your voice during in-game chat.

The Recon 70 does offer Microphone Monitoring when used with an Xbox One controller, as that controller is what would provide the headset with that feature. You would want to double check your Xbox One's Audio Settings to ensure that you have the volume level of your Microphone Monitoring raised to an appropriate level.

It’s so great when I hear him screaming online with his friends and not able to hear the world around him or how loud and obnoxious online gaming is to those not actually playing it. <sigh> what happened to kids actually hanging out with one another in person?
