Works on her PC and the Xbox without issues. She is super happy with it! The range is impressive as well... She can walk to the other end of the house (about 50 ft) and still here her friends and talk without issues.

My assumption is whoever originally purchased it likely did not understand how to update the firmware, which is required or else you will sometime have reversed sound and lots of sound echo. These were likely returned as defective and I got them at a yuuugeee discount

But the mic monitoring on the 600s max is painful compared to the basic ones. You cant tell the difference in audio presets. You hear everything around you regardless of direction in game. And theres no noise cancelation in the mic. You can adjust the settings on xbox and it doesnt affect how you hear anything just what your party hears. I prefer a mic that didnt pick up every noise around me and amplify it for me to hear. Just happy my party didnt suffer with me.

We are sorry to hear about the experience you've had with your Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX for Xbox.
The feature where you can hear your mic input is Mic Monitoring.
You can adjust the Mic Monitor volume within the Audio Hub on a Windows or Mac PC.
Alternatively, you can unplug the transmitter, change it to USB mode, then plug it back in.
The lower dial on the headset will now adjust Mic Monitoring.
Once Mic Monitoring is lowered to the desired level, unplug the transmitter, put it back into Xbox mode, and plug it back in.
The Mic Monitoring volume level should now be saved.
Also, please note, the 600 series has never had a noise canceling mic.
