Terrible design and build quality, mediocre sound

The trouble is two things: the sound (important) and the build quality and design. The sound is overly bass heavy and the volume knob is incredibly sensitive. If you game in a spot where your head will be resting back on a couch or chair, you are going to accidentally turn it up on yourself and this is super annoying. Same for the noise canceling sensitivity, there's a knob to control this and I had to just put tape over it to keep it from turning up. Everything sounds terrible when it's turned up. As for build quality, I've had this set for about 9 months and it is now broken where the can attaches to the headband. The wiring is intact so I'm still using it until I find something else, as I was able to attach the can back to the headband using duct tape. At the price, it's a complete rip off. Avoid at all costs. Buy something else.

The location where the earcups meet the headband appears to have structural issues and seems to wear down very quickly. (I also had this issue on the previous Turtle Beach Elite 800x headset I owned) After finally getting in contact with their support after numerous attempts, they essentially said "too bad". This is after stating that I'm a longtime customer who has owned many of their products in the past. It's a shame that Astro/Logitech is even more of a disaster of a company, since that seems to leave few good alternatives now. The only reason it gets 2 stars is for the ease of use, and the passable sound quality. However, I can't help but think that Turtle Beach headsets 10-15 years ago still sounded better than they do today.
