Beat out Logitech, and Pulse 3d

After trying out 3 total headsets for my new PS5, I settled with this one, the Stealth 700 gen 2 by Turtle beach. I purchased the Pulse 3D, Logitech G935, and TB 700. I didn’t get to test it much against the G935 because the EQ on G-Hub wouldn’t work right and I couldn’t get the settings to save onto the headset so it sounded flat and low. So it was just the Pulse vs this. Ear cups are so nice on this headset, I like that it’s snug because it creates a sealed effect that passes as Noise cancellation and the material used is so soft and comfortable. The adjustable headband is also nice because it doesn’t just rest on your head like the pulse. Bass is deeper and sounds better overall because how well the cups seal. I wanted to like the Pulse 3d but after going back and forth I just preferred the 700s. I changed the EQ settings on both headsets to what I prefer and I suggest you do the same, it really improves the headset sound. EQ settings on this headset can be changed via an app on the phone, and firmware updates go through the PC wirelessly with the provided usb dongle. To change EQ settings you’ll need to pair it to your phone via Bluetooth. I also tried on the A20 by Astro and they just feel cheap.

    Amazing headset

Love this headset! I also own the stealth 600 gen 2 for Xbox which I thought was great but for only $50 more the stealth 700 are well worth the extra cost. The earpieces have this cooling gel that just feels so lush and premium every time I put them on. I love the addition of Bluetooth and ability to edit settings via phone app. My only complaint with the stealth 600 is that I was required to plug in to a PC and use the turtle beach desktop app to adjust and save settings, having the ability to use my phone on the 700 is much more convenient. I also work from home and on a mac during the day, I use this headset everyday on the Mac for zoom meetings and just listening to music and it works great for all of this. Some coworkers noted I sounded better than before using just laptop mic or my Logitech webcam mic. Connects quickly to my ps5, pc and Mac. Mic monitoring can be turned up plenty loud to my liking. It can also simultaneously connect via Bluetooth to my phone while being connected via usb dongle wireless to pc/console which is cool cuz you can listen to music or take phone calls at the same time as gaming. This can be used as a nice work around for using discord while playing on console, you can use the phone discord app to talk with friends while still hearing your game audio through headset too.

These are pretty good. Super comfortable for long periods of time, even when wearing glasses. Sound quality is really good for a gaming headset. Mic works well, people hear me perfectly fine. I can listen to music from my phone or computer through bluetooth while playing a game and have separate volume controls for each. I can even take phone calls through this headset mid game, though it confuses my squad. They feel nice and sturdy. Only complaint is no separate control for chat/game sounds.

These headsets have a good sounding bass, comfortable but have to adjust to the 1.6lb clamping force but the ear cups are very comfortable. You can also adjust the sound with the mobile app as well, it has a flip to mute mic and the Bluetooth just make it an overall great buy for the price. One of TB best headsets IMO.

I saw a lot of comments about how they “don’t work”. Bought anyway. They work fine, but you should connect them to your CPU and update them before you do anything else or they probably won’t work properly. Noise canceling, feel good on, works well with glasses. The battery life lasts a pretty long time as well. The superhuman hearing is pretty crazy, not that good full blast but if you program the second dial (from the app) you can turn it up and down which helps a lot.

Long term review Pros: Fits very well and snug Great sound quality Cons: After 1yr the outer shell of the ear piece broke and now doesn't fit properly. The on/off beep sound is very loud and can not be adjusted. I have to turn it off and on twice every time because the first time the sound is always low. More expensive than other competing headsets

    Disappointed Turtle Beach enthusiast

I've had a love hate relationship with turtle beach over the years of using them. My first turtle beach was the Turtle Beach Elite 800 which were the most amazing audio experience on a console I ever had (PS4 at the time). But this is about its replacement in their line the Stealth 700 Gen 2 well they got close on the audio and did a way better job on the headset construction and comfort. Where they failed us all horribly is the connectivity either the transmitter (USB) or the receiver in the headset is horribly flawed and requires an entire rework I had many issues with this and when I finally got a headset to work wouldn't touch or utilize any of the features such as the app or any features on the headset in fear it was once again going to become a brick. Well in even my best efforts to not mess with what has been working it has now died and become another brick in the wall. My older readers will get that joke. I have tried everything from updating the headset and USB to get it back to customer support. I will be going tomorrow to return yet another defect sadly I have not been able to find a competitor in audio quality but will have to just settle for something more inferior that at least will continue to work. At least until Turtle Beach puts some effort into connection quality.

They are really good on sound you can hear everything especially once you click that little button the side but the problem with it is that the mic echos for your friends even if you have the volume really low and it can’t connect to the phone for me and there’s this low buzzing sound that is constant on certain games and on the main menu of my ps5. They are very comfortable tho and the battery life is really good.

Amazing headphones. Sound quality is not absolute top of the line, but is still very crisp and has good surround sound and bass. Only problem I have experienced is that the microphone on the headset sometimes doesnt recognize when its on or will sometimes shut off and you have to put it up and pull it back down. Other than that, range is good and very good connection and audio feedback

Upgraded from gen 1. Sound is better, but can no longer adjust chat volume separate from game volume, which can make party chat very difficult to hear in FPS games. Having an issue where it takes much too long for the headset to connect when starting up - I've found I need to hold the headset within a few inches of the dongle to pair, otherwise it takes much too long while trying to turn headset off/on and unplug/replug dongle. Overall, while they're more comfortable and feel a bit more sturdy than the gen 1, I'm hoping for a firmware update before the PS5... otherwise, you might be better off looking at a different pair for the cost. This set offers less features (since the removal of the optical, apparently?) for more money, unfortunately.

My son had a PS4 with Turtle Beach headphones. Now he has the PS5 and found that the old ones were not compatible with the PS5. We bought these and he absolutely loves them. I gave only 4 stars since I was thinking they really shouldn't need a dongle to connect them to the PS5. Audio quality, comfort and battery life are excellent!

This is a great headset. First off, it is extremely comfortable. I tried several headsets on at the store, and this one by a fair margin is the most comfortable. This is what sold me on the headset. In addition, it doesn’t hurt that it sounds great. It has a beefy low end and clear mids. It also has 7.1 surround sound which is great for single player games, though I wouldn’t recommend it in multiplayer. A great feature of his headset, is that you’re able to flip up the mic to mute it which is much more convenient than fumbling for a button on the back of the ear cup. Set up on the PS4/PS5 is extremely simple - essentially, plug and play. I also was able to connect it to my PC via Bluetooth, that was having some issues getting the mic to work on discord. Ultimately, I’m happy with this purchase and recommend it, but it’s best feature by far, is how comfortable it is.

Good sound, very comfortable fit. Battery life is good. The mic gives a sort of feedback if you pronounce S. Like you can hear it. I’m not sure what the deal is. Other than the volume there is another wheel, if I turn that wheel down then the S feedback kinda goes away.

The best thing is the comfort of the fit. Very good. Solid construction. I like the mic that mutes when put away. Knobs and buttons need clearer defining. The connection device is spotty to the point of frustration at times. I’m surprised they haven’t gotten this correct yet, when cell phones are managing strong, wireless earbud connections.
