Love turtle beach headsets and have owned many previous versions. For some reason this head set is super quiet compared to previous versions I have owned even making sure everything was turned up all the way. Not sure if I’ve received a faulty unit. Feels very heavy duty though.

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset delivers solid performance for gamers looking for wireless convenience without sacrificing sound quality. Featuring 50mm Nanoclear speakers, the audio is crisp with strong bass, enhancing immersion in games. The built-in mic is clear, though it picks up some background noise. Comfort is a key factor with memory foam ear cushions that are great for long sessions. Bluetooth functionality allows easy pairing with mobile devices, and the Superhuman Hearing mode helps pick up subtle in-game sounds. Battery life is impressive, lasting around 20 hours on a single charge. The design is sleek but a bit bulky, which may feel heavy during extended use. The wireless connection is reliable with low latency on Xbox consoles. However, some users report occasional connectivity issues with other devices, and the software customization could be more intuitive. Overall, the Stealth 700 offers excellent value for its price, especially for console gamers. I find these to be pretty good compared to similar products out today.

Overall I’m very happy, these enabled me to condense 3 headsets down to 1.
In short, these have truly impressed me – allowing me to simplify and clean-up my “audio workspace” considerably. Thanks to simultaneous Bluetooth and two low-latency USB receivers, gone are the days of needing the clutter of a set of headphones for every device – or needing multiple charging cables, swapping USB dongles, or needing to fumble with multi-device Bluetooth pairing and the associated hassles thereof. I generally game and work with not just multiple monitors but with multiple computers as well, and the TB Stealth 700 solved the multi-headphone problem that I had previously just accepted as a necessary evil. In my case, I often keep a work PC up, a personal PC up, and then my phone, which the TB Stealth 700 ties together “almost” seamlessly. (I’ll cover the “almost” later).
For starters, the Bluetooth audio is simultaneous, meaning you can stream music or other audio on your phone and hear it at the same time as audio from whichever of the PC receivers is toggled active. This is great for work where my employer prohibits streaming Internet audio over the work LAN or VPN, but where we also need to keep our headset on and connected to a work PC all day for meetings and calls (Teams for example). With the simultaneous audio I can use these to be on a meeting on my PC while also keeping background music playing through the phone and hear, and control their volume, independently.
Next, the comfort is excellent. I wasn’t so sure at first but the earcups settle in very nicely and breathe very well, not getting hot or sweaty on my ears at all no matter how long I wear them. Battery life is also good, easily lasting my entire work day, though I tend to also plug them in and charge when I tap out for the day.
The audio quality is superb, possibly one of the most nuanced headsets I have ever owned, where I can hear details I don’t hear with even other nice quality headsets. And if you turn on “super hearing” the headset will tune itself to even further amplify sounds like footsteps and doors and other “human clues” that can tip you off in a game that someone is nearby and their direction, friend or foe.
On a slightly negative side are two things – first being that my PCs would often become inaudible anytime the headset had “gone to sleep” from inactivity – The headset turn on fine but I still couldn’t hear the PC until I unplugged the USB dongle and plugged it back in, even though all audio controls showed the Stealth 700 as the active output device and turned up. A simple unplug/plug fixed it every time but it was kind of annoying so I ultimately just set the headset to not go to sleep at all; no issues after that. The second (and this is minor) is this headset uses a surprisingly sharp, high pitched, and high volume “startup” sound. I typically put my headset on and then turn it on, but with these I’d suggest turning them on first. Again, this is minor and nit-picky, I’m just surprised from a design perspective that someone as in-the-game as Turtle Beach missed something as basic as a pleasant startup sound in their design.
For controls (by default) you have Bluetooth volume on the right cup, and USB volume and mic feedback on the left cup. Right cup buttons are media control and a swap button that toggles which USB receiver is active. Left cup buttons are power and a super-hearing toggle; and if these aren’t to your liking some of the buttons can be remapped using the Swarm II application.
Ultimately a very nice set of headphones, and hopefully the occasional “no audio” issue can be resolved with a firmware update (There was a firmware update which I installed during initial setup, so I experienced this issue with the latest firmware available at the time). I’d generally recommend these to anyone who frequently uses more than one device, the convenience outweighs the couple of minor issues I experienced.

Excellent Headset with a Multitude of Features

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 Wireless gaming headset offers an impressive audio experience with the sound quality being rich and detailed. Additionally, the microphone stands out with excellent clarity, with many of my friends commenting on how clear I sound. The built-in mic monitoring feature allows you to hear your own voice in real-time, which is so helpful as I find myself shouting unintentionally during multiplayer games. Lastly, the handy foldable mic arm is intuitive—muting your mic as soon as it’s tucked away.
In terms of convenience, the headset shines with its versatile connectivity options. It includes two USB adapters, allowing users to switch between devices effortlessly without the hassle of re-pairing. The battery life is long-lasting, perfect for extended gaming marathons over multiple days, and the ability to simultaneously connect via Bluetooth and wireless is a unique feature. It’s great for situations where you need to chat on discord on your phone but need to hear the game audio on your PC or gaming console.
I only had one notable downside being the comfort level, particularly for users like me with larger heads. While the sound and mic quality excel, the fit may feel snug or even uncomfortable after long sessions for those with larger head sizes. Additionally, the initial setup can be a bit tricky, learning what all the buttons do and ensuring that the headset is connected to my PC properly. Once configured, though, the performance is generally smooth and reliable. Overall, the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 is a solid choice for those prioritizing sound quality and versatility, as long as the fit isn’t a dealbreaker.
Pros:
Great audio quality with Dolby Atmos support
Excellent mic quality
Built in Mic Monitoring
Handy mic arm that folds in to mute
Two USB adapters in the box so you can seamlessly switch devices
Long battery life
Simultaneous Bluetooth and Wireless connections
Cons:
Not the most comfortable for larger heads
Initial setup was finicky

Firmware uodate took about 1 hour, failed 3 times.
After that observed really bad behaviors, for example one time volume level became so high that even at 1% it can blow your eardrums.
Superhuman hearing? Just flat sound, no high or base. Wave 3d? Almost no difference so basically you have no virtual 3D for gaming.
As soon as you join discrod audio channel overall volume level decreases drastically and you have to increase it, ut when you leave the channel - boom level increase and adding your level on top of what it was before.
Returned and will never look into this company

For the past few days, I've been using these instead of my Corsair HS80s, and I've gotta say, they're pretty impressive! There's a LOT of good things about the headset, and a plethora of great features, but there's also a multitude of small issues here and there that add up, detracting from what would otherwise be an excellent headset.
Comfort:
These are VERY comfortable headphones. The cups sit around your ear with enough pressure to feel secure, without being too much. The headband is a soft, squishy material, and you can barely feel it. The earcups seem to be a pretty breathable material, because they never made me feel like I needed to take them off for my ears to get some air. Even after several hours of use, they feel great.
Battery life:
I'm thoroughly impressed by the battery life on these. I charged them to full when I got them, and have been using them for 6-8 hours a day for 4 days. They're at 62% battery life. It's going to be a while before I need to charge them again. Excellent battery life.
Sound quality:
The sound quality on these is also excellent. You can adjust the sound profiles using their application(s) (more on that later), but even out of the box, they have great range. Good bass without being too much, good mids, good highs. I'm not an audiophile, so take my words with a generous pinch of salt, but I never noticed the sound being better or worse than my HS80s.
Connectivity/range:
The connectivity on these headphones is unique - that's a compliment, in this case - but this is where some of the quirks start to show up.
In the box, you have two wireless dongles. You're meant to put them on different devices - a game console and a computer, two different computers, two different game consoles, any other combination. There's a button on the headset that switches which dongle it's tuned to - in other words, you change what device you're listening to at the press of a button. There's also bluetooth connectivity, and if you connect it to your phone, you'll hear notifications and such through your phone even when connected to and using another device (in my case, a gaming PC). It's very handy.
The range on them is solid. I was able to go into rooms with closed doors, 15-20 feet away from the dongle, and have no connection drops.
That said, there's some quirks worth mentioning.
If both dongle-connected devices are on, and you switch from one to the other and back again too quickly, the sound will stop working. If you then switch back, it will still not work. The only way to fix this is to reseat each of the dongles. The bluetooth will still work just fine through this, though.
I should mention that the sound no longer working is a bit of a general issue with the dongles. Even when I never switched between them, I'd have a problem where it would just... stop playing sound from the dongle. The only fix was to reseat the dongle, because power cycling the headset didn't work. I haven't figured out a definite cause for this. It's not common, but it still happened too many times to ignore. Still not an issue with the bluetooth.
Microphone:
Standard Turtle Beach mic. Muddy audio, acts up when the input is too loud. Not the greatest, not the worst. For the price, I expected better. You can adjust the microphone input a bit, but I was told it only made it sound a little better, at best.
App(s):
There are two different apps you can use for this headset - the mobile version, and the desktop version.
On both, you can do all kinds of things - you can check the battery life, you can use audio and microphone presets, create custom ones, you can customize the function of the buttons and scroll wheels, it's great. The mobile version requires you to connect your headset via bluetooth. The desktop version is a little less readable at first glance, but once you know where everything is, you'll be good to go.
I admit that I didn't tweak a ton of things, for the most part. Generally, I like to use things as they're calibrated out of the box, because I assume that's how it's meant to be used. That said, the fact that there's so many options really is excellent.
General quirks:
There's not a lot to mention, but I thought a dedicated space was necessary, nonetheless.
To start with, I couldn't find a way to turn bluetooth pairing off. I didn't see it in the instructions, I couldn't figure it out with the buttons. Once you've connected to a mobile device via bluetooth, that's it, until you turn bluetooth off or remove the headset from the device.
You COULD simply never connect them via bluetooth, but it should still be an option to connect or not. It's very possible there's a way to do this that I'm not aware of, but if that's the case, it should be more obviou, and/or included in the instructions.
Conclusion:
This is a lovely headset. There's a LOT of great things about it, but some of the problems I had with it held it back from being a perfect 5/5. For the price, I'd expect it to be a bit more polished than it is, but here's to hoping that, with some updates, it will be better.

Leave it to turtle beach to give me something I didn’t know I wanted. These headphones come with two dongles that you can plug into two different PC’s and switch between, and on top of that, you can simultaneously listen to Bluetooth.
Design
Starting with the design, these headphones have a lightweight plastic design that doesn’t feel cheap or fragile. Very thick cushions on the adjustable ear cuffs that are soft and comfortable for hours of wear. The ear cuffs connect at a single point on the headband. All the moving parts aren’t stiff or loose but move just how you’d want them to. The left side has a mode and power button along with a volume and sound monitor adjustment wheels and you charge from the left using USB type C, nice! The right side has two buttons as well, a Bluetooth multi-function button, a mode switcher, as well as a Bluetooth volume wheel button.
The cushions are removable and inside the ear cuffs there’s a fine mesh protecting the drivers from most debris. I consider my head a bit on the large side and the headphones adjusts out enough to easily compensate. There’s a boom style microphone that you can pull down for chats and push up to mute. There’s nothing flashy about these headphones. It’s mostly black with some silver highlights and turtle beach branding on the outside of each ear cuff. It’s subtle and I don’t mind that.
Features and Performance
One of the great things about this is the versatility of switching between different devices. First of all, there are two USB dongles that can be plugged into two different PC’s. There’s a button on the right ear cuff that will allow you to switch between each of these dongles. Along with that, you can also connect to a device with Bluetooth, such as a phone. The scenario I got the most use out of was either playing music through my phone while playing a casual game, or using my phone for discord while getting game SFX through the dongle connection. Yes sound from both connections come through. The call out here is that you cannot connect to both dongles at the same time, but you can quickly switch between them.
One of the neat things is the ability to control the volume from both sound streams. There are 3 total volume wheels. The right one controls Bluetooth, the top left one controls dongle volume (volume device you’re connected to) and the bottom left one controls the voice monitor levels. So without accessing the settings, you can control a lot of what the headphones do from the headset itself. Another example of this is a multi function Bluetooth button. This will allow you to access you’re phones voice assistant, pause, play and skip songs. There is also a mode button on the left ear cuff that will let you change the sound profile or it can be customized for other features using the turtle beach app or software.
The sound is great too. For listening to music, you’ll find that there’s plenty of bass and if that’s not for you, that’s okay too, there’s an EQ in the Swarm II app you can get to customize your preferred sound profile. There’s also custom modes to help you isolate game specific sounds such as footsteps to keep you on the competitive edge.
Battery and Comfort
I found the battery on this to be phenomenal. It advertises 80hrs on one charge. While I haven’t measured the battery life, I can tell you, I’ve spent 2 days using it as my main headset for work through the day and a few hours of gaming for the night for 2 days and there’s still battery life to spare. What some fail to see with such a high battery capacity is it’s somewhat future proofed against
You would think with great battery life comes a hefty battery that makes the headphones uncomfortable, but that’s not the case. As someone who wears glasses, headphones are hit and miss, but with the Stealth 700’s, I didn’t have any issues with wearing glasses and using them. There’s not a ton of side pressure. The ear cuffs are thick but not dense so the head grip that is there, isn’t noticeable. The shape of the ear cuffs play a big roll in the comfort, especially with glasses. The headband has some foam as well, but it’s not as padded as the ear cuffs. I’d like to have seen maybe a few more mm of foam on the headband, I do get a bit of fatigue on the top, but honestly a few minutes break is all I need, and I’m back at it for hours.
Final Thoughts
These are great headphones. I can see someone who is getting into streaming or does a lot of gameplay while using their phone or discord for communication, finding these headphones essential. Also, if you’re switching your dongle between devices all the time, these headphones solve that problem magnificently.
