This headset is poorly manufactured. Cheap plastic and the sound quality sucks.

Good wireless headsets sound good, and feel good. for turtle beaches they are comfortable and good quality. Personal Opinion the plastic feels cheap but hasn't given me a reason to doubt it.

I wanted to upgrade my old headset because the microphone was too sensitive, so I got this one. The battery life is good, the bluetooth connectivity is cool. My only issue is that the faux leather makes my ears sweat a little too much and the mic isn't adjustable.

This is a great headset for the price. The only downfall for it was the build quality. The headband part can break cause it's made with thin plastic. I've already replaced them with the geek squad replacement insurance.

Got this on a holiday sale. Which I recommend getting at. The sound is good. The build quality is better than the 600s but that'snt saying much. 150 bucks for a frame that's made entirely of plastic is overkill. If you have a small head it should be good but the more you extend the headset the more it feels like its gonna snap. Plastic doesnt feel very tough. I'm careful when I put them on/off. Battery life is good. Wireless directly to xbox is also nice. 3.75 out of 5 due to the cheap feeling parts.

This is my 3rd set of Turtle Beach headsets, and I have to say it's by far they best one yet. I love the blue tooth feature. The only con is I wear glasses, and even with the soft foam at the top of the ear pad specifically for people with glasses is still a little uncomfortable over extended use . I think with time they will break in and fit better. That's why no 5 star.

This is my third TurtleBeach Gaming Headset. I take excellent care of my headsets, but they don't last longer than 1 year. This set cost more than all my others in the past, yet looks cheaper than all the rest. Sound is good ... not great, but not bad either. Wish they were made of more quality materials & just lasted longer,

I've been buying Turtle Beach gaming headsets for eight years. This was my fifth set. Every 18 months or so, they break in the same exact spot. The cheap plastic breaks above the left ear, leaving the headset unusable. Caveat emptor! Always purchase the extended warranty with your headsets and gaming controllers. They are cheaply made and break far too easy!

Picked these up and updated the firmware immediately on them as suggested. I will be returning these as they do not meet my standards. Pros 1) Truly wireless with the Xbox One, was able to quickly sync them and was ready to go. The settings within the xbox are simple 2) While remembering what all the buttons do is tricky, the bluetooth app itself makes this easy. Its a bit gimmicky but works well. 3) I wore these for 3 hours with glasses and didn't have any comfort issues. 4) Automatically turn off when you turn off your xbox. That just a nice feature so you dont forget and run your battery down. 5) No issues with mic, everyone could hear me fine, the lift to mute worked great. Cons 1) The audio isn't that great, any setting with base boost will cut out when the drivers try and push the base. They were not useable with any base setting. This was enough for me to return them itself. 2) Bulky plastic feel, holding them feels like you are holding a much cheaper set of headphones. While I dont think they are going to break they just dont feel as nice as other $150 headphones 3) Active noise canceling works ish 4) After three hours of use, xbox showed they only had 1/2 battery life left. 5) I had a bit of an eco, when I spoke I could hear myself through the speakers. Playing with the settings I was able to get it soft but never gone.

I bough the 600s first and wasn't happy with the headsets sound . It wasn't loud enough and for the price I wasn't happy with just 4 sound ex settings , sloppy superhuman hearing gimmick . The wireless made it hassle free as well as the Xbox pairing made it setting up easier since you turn the headset on and it turns on your Xbox . 2 in 1! Rechargeable $$ that's definitely convenient. But the sound killed it and I returned them for a pair of Razer Kraken TE . Now maaaan let me tell ya, the set up for these to work was excruciating lol only to find out that the thx usb adaptor isn't compatible with Xbox's usb connection do it does not activate the Thx feature which is why you want them in the first place ! :l Well on the bright side , the wired portion of the headset is amazing! They feel great. After you've downloaded the software and updated them and tweaked to your liking they sound great . You get to use an app on your phone to tweak the eq aswell , but they need to be plugged In to do that so it a hassle and I wasn't trying to turn on my laptop to change settings often . The Razer kraken Te sound great on mic and on sound when plugged without the thx adapter I used them for movies on my phone ! But sadly for that price those features did not matter for what I was using out of that headset wired . Returned the next day. Exchanged for the 700s and well I got them on sale and I'm happy so far a couple days in. The Bluetooth is awesome to have . I can play music in the background while playing games and the sound is loud! Not sure why though but the sound is a bit lower while playing COD and games in general . Now the bass is loud and it sometimes feels it over powers the other settings like the mids and treble . The 4 eq settings don't matter much since you might just keep it on (boost treble+bass ) to make them louder. The superhuman hearing isn't functional when noise canceling is on which is odd , and the material could be thicker , they do hurt after long hours of gameplay a bit under behind the earlobe . . But they are wireless , come with Bluetooth so you can use them for other devices , rechargeable no batteries, connect fast like the 600s do . The mic flips up and down to mute which is cool because you don't search for buttons but you do have to yell at times to get response . Mic is short I'm assuming . The Razer kraken Te though had an amazing mic and voice control. I'm keeping these for the game and Bluetooth dual audio really . It's something I want and it's great to have when you want to mute everything but the music and play.

I did a lot of research and comparing & contrasting before selecting this headset for my Xbox One. I am very happy with my selection. This unit connects immediately with the Xbox One after turning it on. With the bluetooth feature, it also connects automatically with my iPhone and MacBook Pro and will stream any audio from both. This is a great feature, because with the noise cancelling of the headset, I cannot even hear my phone ring when it is sitting next to me...so the bluetooth allows me to monitor for incoming calls while I am playing my Xbox. So when a call comes in, it will ring in my headset and I can answer the call directly from the headset. When I do this, it switches the audio from the gameplay over to the phone call seamlessly. When I hang up (either from the headset or the phone), the audio instantly goes back to the gameplay and game chat. The audio quality is great and easily adjustable between gameplay audio and game chat audio levels. I use it frequently over bluetooth for music while I am working and seemlessly take hands-free business calls with it. It holds its own for music quality compared to my Bose QuietComfort 15 headset. I love that you can mute your mic by just swinging the mic up and back. The mic is solid and not flimsy. The mic does a really good job of filtering out most of the background noise in the room. We have noticed that when there is a lot of ambient noise in the room, the volume of my voice in the chat is noticeably quieter for everyone else...but better than flooding the chat with distracting noises. The battery on my unit lasts hours longer than the rated 10 hours, even with my bluetooth and mic on. The smartphone app that connects to the headset is great. You can change settings on the fly from your phone. Three downsides to this unit.... First, it feels a bit tight on the noggin', especially compared to my Bose QuietComfort headset that I was using before this one. I don't have a big head, so it doesn't bother me much, even during marathon 10+ hour gaming sessions. My son had purchased this same model 3 - 4 months before me and his head is a bit larger than mine, so he complains that using it for long periods can give him a bit of a headache if he doesn't take it off for a break here and there because of how tight it is squeezing his melon. Mine is easing up already after about a month of usage, so as long as you don't have a really large head, this shouldn't be an issue for most people. Secondly, the unit has three rubberized buttons on the side (power, bluetooth, and noise cancelling). When the unit is on your head, I am still having a hard time knowing which button I am pressing without taking the unit off my head. Each button has a raised symbol on it, but they are hard to feel a difference between, so the best method I have come up with is starting at the back button and sliding my finger forward feeling for the raised symbols. Far back is power, middle is bluetooth (and answering / hangin up on phone calls and other controls), and front most is the noise cancelling. The good thing is that most of the features are controllable in the smartphone app anyways. Thirdly, my son's unit is already showing wear on the ear pad material after just 3 - 4 months. He also burns through Bose ear pads way faster than I do...so if you are a bit more oily than most, the oil from your head/hair does seem to break down the ear pad material fairly quick. These pads are replaceable from the Turtle website for just $3.95 per ear cushion (look up Bose original replacement pads and you will see this is an amazing deal, even if you go through a pair or two a year). As I was writing this, I just discovered a new, cool feature on this unit that I don' remember read about in the manual. When you turn on the headset, it automatically turns on your Xbox for you (same as a controller does). The build quality of this model is great, definitely not a flimsy unit....if you take care of it and don't throw it around, it should last for a long time. With the Geek Squad 3 year coverage, which is quite affordable for this unit, you should be set for a really long time. I wonder if they would cover the ear pads wearing out? I would definitely go with this unit, even over the Elite 800X model which I also looked at. The 800 uses the same 50mm Neodymium Magnets with the same frequency range as the 700, but doesn't have the native Xbox direct connection like the 700 does. Hope this Help!
