I read the reviews for the headset, but went ahead and got it anyways, because of the black Friday sale, and there was some even newer firmware updates than most the reviews mentioned. All in all, when the headset works, it's great. The issue is at least once a play session either the microphone screws up, and my friends say I sound like a robot, or the incoming audio screws up and either sounds distorted or just cuts off intermittently. I think Microsoft is working with Turtle Beach and they really want the headset to work well, as it's as far as I'm aware the first Xbox Wireless headset (using the same protocol as the controllers to sync to xbox etc.). I think this because I got a message from Xbox Live saying "hey, we think you're using one of these 2 headsets (stealth 600 or 700) these get constantly better, make sure you go update the firmware" Anyways, point being, maybe some future firmware update will remove the last of my issues with it, and the headset will be great. I'm not sure I can wait for that, as it gets pretty annoying to turn off and on frequently, so may end up returning mine.

Despite the negative reviews I've seen on this site, I decided to take a chance on these and I'm so glad I did! I've had none of the problems listed by others and the sound is great! The headset work with Bluetooth and wireless hooked to my Xbox with with no issues. They feel great on! The microphone is on the left side which is backwards to what I normally use. Turtle Beach has never let me down, I hope you feel inspired to give these a try!

I had moved away from Turtle Beach for a while due to some past issues but this headset isn't too shabby. I love the fact that it's completely wireless. No cord even needed between the headset and controller. They do seem a bit flimsy so the 2 year warranty may not be a bad idea. Sound is really good as well. There is a phone and computer app where you can change the sound setting to your liking as well. Hope this helps someone out.

Great headphones. After a little work around(plus I don't know how to edit my last review), the latency issue and disconnection were caused by various factors. One was the interference with the router, had to switch off 2.5 frequency of my router(due to the headphones ability to run in 2.5 and 5). Second was upgrade my Xbox one to Xbox one S knowing that the S has better controller connection, so I figured that it would help too. They also sound great with Dolby atmos. Pros: confortable, wireless, sound Cons: if router is to close will need to be thinker with. And in my opinion not meant for the original Xbox one.

Bought these on a recommendation from a friend. I'm mixed on how I feel. The sound is pretty impressive for mid-level headphones. The mic mute feature is handy as well, just flip the mic up. There some issues with the sound. Game music seems to slur a lot, which can be off putting. The sound also crackles frequently. Being wireless, guess this just comes with the territory. I'm also having trouble with others hearing me when playing. Not sure if that's the headset or on Microsoft's end, because it doesn't happen all the time but enough to be frustrating. Overall its definitely nice to be able to totally cut the cord.

As a parent with two little ones, I do most of my gaming late at night. This helps keep things quiet while I do! My first truly wireless gaming headset, Stealth 700 connects effortlessly to the Xbox One family of consoles - just like the controllers do. No USB dongle or any additional gadgets - just pure wireless (it works with some Windows 10 PCs as well). The Turtle Beach mantra is "Hear Everything, Defeat Everyone," and that can be the case here. The "Superhuman Hearing" feature balances things out, making online multiplayer particularly exhilarating. All the little details can be heard, which means it can be easier to hear people creeping up on you. Acitve Noise Cancelling technology helps eliminate background distractions, while the price point (under $150! @@@@@@@ brings premium sound into a a much more affordable range when compared to previous headphone releases. The surround sound also makes movies sound great, and since you can also use these with your phone or tablet via Bluetooth, that opens up the possibilities for even more portable entertainment options with BIG sound. I dig it.

I bough the 600s first and wasn't happy with the headsets sound . It wasn't loud enough and for the price I wasn't happy with just 4 sound ex settings , sloppy superhuman hearing gimmick . The wireless made it hassle free as well as the Xbox pairing made it setting up easier since you turn the headset on and it turns on your Xbox . 2 in 1! Rechargeable $$ that's definitely convenient. But the sound killed it and I returned them for a pair of Razer Kraken TE . Now maaaan let me tell ya, the set up for these to work was excruciating lol only to find out that the thx usb adaptor isn't compatible with Xbox's usb connection do it does not activate the Thx feature which is why you want them in the first place ! :l Well on the bright side , the wired portion of the headset is amazing! They feel great. After you've downloaded the software and updated them and tweaked to your liking they sound great . You get to use an app on your phone to tweak the eq aswell , but they need to be plugged In to do that so it a hassle and I wasn't trying to turn on my laptop to change settings often . The Razer kraken Te sound great on mic and on sound when plugged without the thx adapter I used them for movies on my phone ! But sadly for that price those features did not matter for what I was using out of that headset wired . Returned the next day. Exchanged for the 700s and well I got them on sale and I'm happy so far a couple days in. The Bluetooth is awesome to have . I can play music in the background while playing games and the sound is loud! Not sure why though but the sound is a bit lower while playing COD and games in general . Now the bass is loud and it sometimes feels it over powers the other settings like the mids and treble . The 4 eq settings don't matter much since you might just keep it on (boost treble+bass ) to make them louder. The superhuman hearing isn't functional when noise canceling is on which is odd , and the material could be thicker , they do hurt after long hours of gameplay a bit under behind the earlobe . . But they are wireless , come with Bluetooth so you can use them for other devices , rechargeable no batteries, connect fast like the 600s do . The mic flips up and down to mute which is cool because you don't search for buttons but you do have to yell at times to get response . Mic is short I'm assuming . The Razer kraken Te though had an amazing mic and voice control. I'm keeping these for the game and Bluetooth dual audio really . It's something I want and it's great to have when you want to mute everything but the music and play.

Purchased the Stealth 700 and I returned it the same day. There are pros and cons to these head phones, but there are plenty of better headsets out. Problems: 1. The headphones are not as comfortable after awhile. 2. Playing Call of Duty: Black ops 4, where sound is very reliant, the quality of surround sound was garbage compared to the stereo headphones I've been using. 3. They feature an app that you can connect to and customize the settings, yet time after time the headset fails to pair. Pros: Truely wireless. 1. No box receiver needed, and absolutely no wires needed. 2. Can connect to xbox and bluetooth to your phone at the same time, and able to play audios off of both simultaneously.

This headset has great features. The XBox wireless is smooth, phone app let's you control headset settings. Being able to use Xbox party chat and game sound through the headset WHILE stream music or talking on my phone is awesome. Flip up mic mute is great too. BUT.....like I find with many Turtle Beach headsets in the past. The design and durability are a question. Not all TB headset are like that. The Stealth 600 feels more robust, my PX30 is solid after all these years. But this set.......the part where the ear cups meet the band, where they spin, feels very flimsy, unlike the solid feel of the 600. Battery life is about 8hrs I have found....kinda meh. All in all great features, suspect durability. Not recommended at this price point

Picked these up and updated the firmware immediately on them as suggested. I will be returning these as they do not meet my standards. Pros 1) Truly wireless with the Xbox One, was able to quickly sync them and was ready to go. The settings within the xbox are simple 2) While remembering what all the buttons do is tricky, the bluetooth app itself makes this easy. Its a bit gimmicky but works well. 3) I wore these for 3 hours with glasses and didn't have any comfort issues. 4) Automatically turn off when you turn off your xbox. That just a nice feature so you dont forget and run your battery down. 5) No issues with mic, everyone could hear me fine, the lift to mute worked great. Cons 1) The audio isn't that great, any setting with base boost will cut out when the drivers try and push the base. They were not useable with any base setting. This was enough for me to return them itself. 2) Bulky plastic feel, holding them feels like you are holding a much cheaper set of headphones. While I dont think they are going to break they just dont feel as nice as other $150 headphones 3) Active noise canceling works ish 4) After three hours of use, xbox showed they only had 1/2 battery life left. 5) I had a bit of an eco, when I spoke I could hear myself through the speakers. Playing with the settings I was able to get it soft but never gone.

You must update to the latest firmware: NEW FIRMWARE UPDATE AVAILABLE - VERSION 2.1.1 - SEPT. 13, 2017 This seems to have corrected the issues I had out of the box: 1. Audio/bluetooth disconnecting 2. Xbox audio cutting out, microphone intermittent drops. I did not experience "buzzing" as others have mentioned, so I don't know if that has been corrected. They are not as comfortable as my Elite Plus Tournament headphones, and while the sound is good, it's not up to the same standard as the Elite Plus. What I love about these is I'm free from cords. . Windows Sonic (simulated surround sound) works well, though it may not be up to par with DTS, but Dolby Atmos (30 day free trial, $15 to purchase) is exceptional. If you get this headset (or already have it), definitely install Atmos and the demos. Mic quality is good, and the active noise cancellation is a plus. I'm not sure of the construction quality -- lots of plastic. Even though in general I don't purchase extended warranties, it may be a good idea to get the optional Best Buy warranty with it just in case. I had the Stealth 500x wireless headset and while the electronics were fine, the headband eventually broke. Turtle Beach should not have released these when they did; the product wasn't ready and it makes Turtle Beach look bad, but the firmware update seems to have corrected the problem out of the box.

I decided that the poor rating on these must be a fluke and went ahead and purchased them. Build Quality: Look cool, but when held feel very cheap. Sound Quality: Even after updating the firmware and adjusting the settings via my Win 10 comp, not great. The game sounds fine, but not spectacular. The biggest problem I have is that people in Xbox party chat sound like they are talking underwater. Xbox Wireless Technology: Not ready yet. Seems simple - press a wireless connection button just like how you'd pair an xbox controller to your console. The result - it does connect rather easily, but once in a while the sound doesn't come through after connecting. The headphones will also drop their connection every half hour or so; sometimes more often; but only for a few seconds. The real problem here is that after reconnecting, you can no longer talk in party chat, you can only hear people. You must leave the chat and re-enter it for the headset to connect properly. Started driving me nuts. Summary: Don't buy these. I look forward to future iterations of no-base station wireless headphones, but it just isn't working properly now. The only thing that impressed me about these (Xbox Wireless Technology) is still a weakness.

Hello everyone, I purchased this headset at BestBuy for an easier and faster return/exchange if needed, not on amazon, but wanted to leave an honest review here. I was deciding between this Stealth 700, Stealth 600 and Platronics Rig 800LX. Stealth 700 has noise cancelling mic and only 10 hours of continuous play. direct connect to X1 Stealth 800 the only advantage 15 hours of play. direct connect to X1 Rig 800 has 24 hours, noise cancelling, BULKY and NOT a direct connect. At the end I was considering Rig 800 and Stealth 700 due to noise cancelling. The reason why I went with Stealth 700 as first model were: 1) Direct connect to X1 2) NOT as bulky as Rig 800 3) Bluetooth that you can connect to your phone and listen to music or talk. Basically this headset so far (1 day old) is AMAZING! I read and read and read alot of comments and people complaining about how this headset is not comfortable, too quiet or the mic is horrible. Well LUCKILY I experienced NONE of those issues. I did update the headset to the latest firmware BEFORE I even turned them ON! Charged them to full battery and updated right away. Immediately I notice how nice they sound and for people who are saying they are too quiet. . HOW? I mean I'm sure some are getting bad pairs, but how the heck is this headset too quiet when I set my volume probably at 50% and it's LOUD. . Like on full volume it's not exactly comfortable as the sound is just too much, so 50 it's. My only real concern that I have and again this could be purely because the audio in a game is directional is that few times it seemed as left side was slightly louder than right side. . most people may not even notice this, but this could be due to what I was doing in the game. When I test some music from my phone the sound was pretty much equal and nothing to complain 1-2% difference could be due to hearing or who knows. . I purchased 2 year replacement warranty for $20 so if they break in a year, who cares I get a new pair. Microphone clarity: I checked with people in the game and asked them to report the audio clarity. . No one complained that they could not hear me. Noise-Cancellation, I have not had a chance to test it. Comfort: Ear cups are soft, foam may have been a little more comfortable, but padded leather will work and is easier to clean so no big deal. Another note to consider is that these are not bulky at all. Build quality: Now this is something I was worried about, because the store model that I held in my hands felt loose and cheap. Which is somewhat to be expected since store display models get abused by 1000 weirdos. When I opened my own set, I was impressed the how everything was tight and just felt good holding in my hands. Conclusion: Give this a try, but make sure to fully charge and update to latest firmware prior to using.
