Awesome controller, wish it was truly wireless!

I bought this without triple checking that the base must be connected for the wireless function to work. While it does support Bluetooth connectivity, it is largely wasted on a useless companion mobile app. It is a little smaller than an Xbox controller so it may take a bit to get used to. But despite all of that, the features of thus controller more than compensate for the things I wish it had. The built in display is helpful, allows you to see battery life, manage the volume if you have a headset plugged into it (and change equalixer modes). The other feature I liked quite a bit was the ability to switch between stored profiles.

I've purchased countless elite controllers. This pad is currently the better buy assuming the reliability is there. The buttons and dpad are mechanical with a great feel, and the trigger stops for FPS games are ideal. Moreover, it's very comfortable. There are some who say it's too light, but i disagree. It doesnt have to be heavy to feel premium. The other criticism is that the battery life is short. There's a simple remedy to this: set it to static and choose no color under the lighting settings on the controller's command center (great screen, not gimmicky, but useful). And lastly, once you get used to the back buttons they feel very, very good and intuitive.

Excellent controller. Performance is so much better than the nacon revolution 5 pro. Great job. Much lighter and buttons more responsive. It's a day and night difference.

Hall Effect Controller Taken to the Next Level

This controller is a dream come true. It has anti-drift hall-effect joysticks, extra buttons on the back, mouse click buttons, trigger stops, carrying case, and on top of it all Turtle Beach managed to get the software for Xbox Wireless. That alone is impressive. I used an elite series 2 for years and this has replaced it for me. The app is a bit janky to use but the customization is amazing. You can change the led color, load up to ten different profiles with different control layouts with their own respective stick precision settings - down to being able to customize the deadzones themselves in the controller, not through the game. Its responsive, and amazing. Buy this controller if you've got a elite series 2 with stick drift and rb issues.

    Complete disappointment

I was really excited when I saw this premium version of the Turtle Beach controller. I've liked their other controllers, which were great for what they were. Just not pro controllers. Even though some worked close to it. So I knew this one was gonna be one of the best. Which couldn't be further from the truth. The carrying case and controller itself look fantastic. The screen on the controller is well done and looks great on the controller. Honestly its probably the only part of the controller that actually works. As far as the app its horrible. It seems like non of the changes I would make to the controller would take. The profiles are clunky and never seem to update correctly. I would make some changes and i change screens and everything would be gone. I would close the app out and come back to some chages done while others set on something I never saved while just testing the app. So I made most of my adjustments on the screen of the controller. Which works... kinda. I would have to make the same changes multiple times before it would actually stay on the controller. So much so I'm not sure if anything ever changed or not. The controller itself would disconnect while wired. Bluetooth didn't work. The dongal wasn't bad after playing around with the controller for an hour to get it to connect. The controller isnt very comfortable to hold because its made with hard plastic that has the smallest amount of thin texture to give the impression of softness. I had stick drift and both sticks would grind when I rotated them. I really tried to like the controller and kept trying to adjust setting and updating all the software. In the end I ended up returning the controller right before the 30 days were up. It's a huge disappointment to me. Especially with all the reviews online singing the praises of it. Maybe I got an early dud that was rush for the preorder sales. Maybe high expectations and anticipation doomed it for me. Or maybe its was complete crap on release date. I could see some changes being made that would make it a very nice gamepad. That and a complete overhaul of the app. Until then I would completely avoid this controller. Especially at the insane price its currently priced.

    Best controller for Xbox

I have been bouncing around Xbox controllers since stock Xbox controllers only have a 125hz Polling rate due to a limitation with Xbox Wireless. When I saw this controller with Pro features and a 250hz polling rate, hall effect sticks, and mechanical buttons I was definitely intrigued. While the controller is not perfect it does work extremely well. Battery life cpuld be better but you could lower the LED and screen brightness to help with that. It also works seamlessly as a wired controller or with the included dongle. The antifriction rings do not seem do their job, but it isnt too different from the Elite Series 2. Overall, I will say this is the best controller for Xbox and could even be a solid option for PC. However, PC has access to other controllers that might be more worthwile in terms of feature set for the price.

Solid device. Power house for its features. So much so that it holds it back. My girlfriend was charging her controller daily with 4-6hours of use. Otherwise it was easy to set up and use on the daily. It had great feature on the lcd display and in the app.

Ive had this controller for about 3 to 4 months and it has its pros but more cons the controller to turn on and connect takes like 15 seconds for when watching shows it isn’t practical for skipping ads the add is over before it’s connected, randomly the right stick in game will occasionally make me turn instantly 90 degrees which I have no clue why, the buttons I love and the joy sticks the feel is nice but also my left side grip is completly peeling off I had a elite series two for 2 to 3 years and that didn’t happen few months and it’s peeling off and it is very aggravating watched multiple videos on the controller before purchase and come to find out wasn’t all that

With this joystick I enjoy the hall effect sticks essentially eliminating no drift issues. The joystick feels good but the D pad does feel mushy. The downside is the software needs allot of work but I knew that going in. Turtlebeach app on your phone for setup garbage, most features are not in the app. The xbox app, you can make all types of changes but never syncs to the joystick. The best way to make changes is on the joystick itself using the lcd screen. I have 60+ hours on the joystick now. It has randomly disconnected twice, have experienced ghost menus touches 3 times. Also this joystick will not turn on your xbox as advertised unless your xbox was turned off in a 5 minute window. TB advertised this joystick having a 30 hour battery, aint no way. I have everything turned off rgb lighing and lcd adter 1 minute. Im guessing this joystick has a battwry life of 12-15 hours max. A little adjustment since my elite 2, only recall charging it twice a month. I feel another firmware update could get this joystick dialed in. Only time will tell but i do plan on keeping it.

Ive had mine for about 6 months now. Pros: mouse click on face, d-pad and bumpers is great, wish there was an option to make the triggers mouse click too. The custom lights, build quallity and haptic vibration makes the controller feel premium. Cons. Battery life is closer to 8 hours depending on your settings. No where near 36 hours they promise. There has been some bugs in the software/app here and there but nothing too bad. Overall i give this a 8/10 and enjoy it slightly more than the Xbox Series Elite 2.

It’s a great device for gaming. But honestly after awhile it does tend to have connectivity issues. I suggest getting the warranty. Because depending on your luck, you may have to replace it soon after purchase. But when it’s working correctly it’s an absolute beast of a controller.

I recently purchased this controller for my Xbox Series X, and while there are features I absolutely love, a few aspects were less impressive. The setup was a breeze, and it has been performing flawlessly ever since. Although the build quality feels solid, it is a bit lighter compared to my Xbox Elite controllers. The charging dock is a fantastic bonus, ensuring the controller is always powered up, which is essential given the built-in lights and screen can drain the battery quicker than I anticipated. Its seamless PC connectivity makes it a versatile addition to my gaming laptop, turning it into my preferred "on-the-go" controller.
