The Turtle Beach VelocityOne FlightDeck is one of the best HOTAS I’ve used. The build quality is excellent, with a sturdy construction that feels durable and reliable. The HOTAS is very ergonomic, I can reach almost everything without removing my hands. The stick is also adjustable with a small tab on the left to lock and unlock the height. The flight deck also has an incredible amount of small joysticks and hat switches to use. The levers for flaps and landing gear feel amazing. The landing flicks up and down and the flap lever moves smoothly with a click at the maximum and minimum. The trigger has two stages which I find really nice when playing DCS. The pinky lever provides varied input allowing precise braking. The stick also has a neat little trackpad but it isn’t the best. It's choppy, but by reducing sensitivity the choppiness seems to decrease. The use of haptics is amazing for the price point, and there is a lot of it. The throttle has three adjustable detents(zones) where you can feel vibrations. I found this perfect for setting my engines to idle and just below afterburner. The throttle also vibrates when separating the throttles. The stick also has adjustable haptics. My only criticism about the sticks haptics is that I wish it was progressive instead of instant. The best part of the flight deck is the screen. The touch screen on the throttle is incredible. You can setup your own custom pages in the app. This was game changing for playing DCS. I could do my entire aircraft startup from the touchscreen. I only wish that it would show more information on the touchscreen and the HUD on the stick. The HUD on the stick is pretty useless. You can only set a chrono and/or have a reading for different axis’. There is a button that reads “HUD NAV” on the stick that, when held down for 5 seconds, opens up a number of different settings for the stick. I only found this out by accident because the button isn’t actually an input. Overall, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck is an excellent choice for gamers looking for a high-quality HOTAS system for their Windows 10 or 11 PC. Its sturdy build, comfortable design, and customizable controls make it a top choice for flight simulation enthusiasts. I would very much recommend this to anyone who wants a game changing HOTAS.

I have been playing Microsoft Flight Simulator for 30yrs, and in that time I have had multiple HOTAS setups, and also used an XBOX controller for simple flights. The Turtle Beach Velocity One Flight Deck is by far the best HOTAS I have used.
The controls feel premium and realistic, with the throttle allowing for split control and vibration feedback on both throttle and stick. The touchscreen on the throttle is amazing for customizing certain controls for each game and each setup (MSFS, Fighter Jets, Space, etc). You can also use the TB software to customize lighting for each setup. My personal preference is the Space setting for lighting but it's something you can have fun with.
The HUD on the stick is a nice addition and the flight stick is extremely smooth and responsive. The weight of each units means you won't need to bolt them down or worry about the base tipping with the movement. The stick twists for rudder function and the scroll wheel for trim adjustments is a welcome addition.
All the hat switches and buttons on this unit make it a daunting task to set-up. It's advertised as being plug and play with MSFS 2020, but it's not. The game recognizes the hardware but there are no presets. However, I'm not dinging TB here because after talking to their support team, the pre mapped buttons should show up in the next update (currently expected March 26, 2024). Yes, it would have been great if they were there at launch, but that's partially on the MSFS developers. I programmed some basics for now but look forward to the mapping and then tweaking a few settings to my liking.
The one thing I wish TB hadn't done was to make this 2 separate USB cables, both with USB A connections. My Alienware M18 laptop only has 1 USB A port and I suspect most newer computers have 1 with more USB C connectors. Fortunately I have an adapter but be aware of this.
Overall, I absolutely love this HOTAS system and look forward to years of enjoyment with it. The level of customization is outstanding and it feels like a premium product, punching well above it's price point. Definitely recommend this to gamers and simulator enthusiasts.

The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck is a high-end HOTAS (Hands on Throttle And Stick) system designed for flight simulation enthusiasts on Windows 10 and 11 PCs. It has a ton of features that you will enjoy using, like the Flight Touch Display (1st of its kind): A customizable OLED screen for real-time flight information and button functions. The controller also has 15 axes for precise control of flight surfaces and engines; 139 programmable buttons for extensive customization; Contactless Hall-Effect sensors on main axes for smooth and durable performance; Adjustable stick height to accommodate different hand sizes; Haptic throttle detent with adjustable resistance, and Integrated rudder controls and toe brakes. The customization will be up to your imagination, but you will be able to customize the Flight Touch Display for assigning button functions and displaying flight data, On-board profile storage for different control schemes, Adjustable multi-zone RGB lighting and use the Flight Hangar desktop app for further customization. It is Compatible with Windows 10 and 11 PCs (dual USB connection). There are some potential drawbacks before you pull the trigger on this. (get it pull the trigger), Currently not compatible with consoles. A high-end HOTAS system comes at a premium price point. The extensive customization options might be overwhelming for beginners.
Overall, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck is a technically advanced HOTAS system ideal for serious flight simulation enthusiasts on PC. It offers unmatched customization and immersive features for those seeking the ultimate flight control experience.

The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck is both fun and impressive, but it’s not without flaws.
Inside the box you will find a flightstick, throttle, some mounting screws, and 2 USB cables. Before you can begin flying, you must first download the Windows software. From there you can customize both the flightstick and throttle, as well as update the firmware, check that each button functions correctly and set custom controls.
The VelocityOne is both amazing and intimidating at the same time. This is due to having over 136 programmable buttons and joysticks, not to mention the 4” touchscreen on the throttle. With only a handful of games that offer full functional support, you will have to spend some time programing the buttons. I will admit, it was not fun assigning controls to all these buttons, especially since so many of them being non-standard buttons, that by the time I was finished I forgot what everything did. On top of that, I had many instances where I had to restart my computer due to the throttle or flightstick not responding correctly. Also, the touchscreen on the throttle gave me some input issues with my presses not registering correctly, also the knobs have some noticeable lag.
The first time I plugged in the VelocityOne, I was really impressed with how detailed everything looked and felt. Both the throttle and flightstick light up and have customizable RGB lighting. The throttle has a 4” colored touchscreen that can be customized with many pages. The flightstick has a small OLED HUD. You can customize the settings on both controllers with their built-in displays. They both offer vibration, that can be customized for intensity, and the throttle has both the stand and the throttle itself that vibrates. The build quality is incredible on both of the controllers, and they feel great to hold.
After setting everything up and programming all the inputs, I will say the experience is amazing! It feels like you’re actually flying and controlling the aircraft, and I have such a blast using it. The downside is the list of fully compatible games is very short, and when trying to play Star Wars Squadrons, the throttle still doesn’t work correctly. Although, if you enjoy playing MS Flight simulator, then you shouldn’t have any problems.
Overall, once you get past setting everything up, I think the VelocityOne flightdeck is a great product. I think it adds a new layer of fun when gaming. I just wish it supported more games.

First, my using this flight stick was done with Microsoft Flight Simulatir 2020 using sim beta 15. You need update 15 to be able to have this device automatically map controls. I am very pleased with this flight stick combo. First, it is incredibly well built. It’s mostly metal and feel very smooth. I was very impressed with the feel when using it. Response was also solid. Second, this has an amazing number of buttons and controls to map. There are so many it may take a bit of time to make sure you have buttons mapped how you want for games. Even though the flight stick mapped with the Sim update 15 beta, I did need to spend some time mapping and refining how I want the setup. Have a little patience and you will get it set how you want. Finally, the monochrome screens are very useful to monitor your flight. I am planning on trying this stick with more flight games with a combat sim next on the list. I have used many flight sticks over time and this is one of the best I have used. I would highly recommend it.

To say I’m impressed would be an understatement. The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck system is by far one of the most customizable HOTAS systems available, especially at this price range. Immediately upon opening the package, I could tell great care went into the design and material choices. Every aspect of this system feels well-constructed and of high quality. Every button, switch, dial, and lever are easily accessible and placed comfortably and logically.
This system offers unparallelled customizability, every aspect of this system is customizable to your liking. This system features over 130 programmable buttons, a multitude of switches both intermittent and stationary, levers, dials, and even a customizable touch screen. You will be hard pressed to find a control that couldn’t be mapped to this system. It’s important to note that due to the highly customizable nature of this system, you will spend a considerable amount of time setting up and configuring the controls to your liking. Fortunately, Turtle Beach confirmed that they are working with game developers to quickly port profiles for many popular titles.
In terms of performance, I found the controls to be extremely responsive and precise. The Flight Stick offered fluid motion while the throttle control provided an appropriate amount of resistance for a realistic experience.
During my testing I did experience a minor, albeit annoying issue with the flight stick resetting resulting in brief periods of unresponsiveness from the buttons on the flight stick. This truly was my only negative experience with this system. The support team at Turtle Beach has been top notch and extremely responsive in helping me work to resolve the issue. Given the considerable thought and attention to detail that went into the development of this system, I truly believe that my issue is unique and not typical for the vast majority of users. That said, I would, without hesitation recommend this system to anyone looking for a feature rich and highly customizable flight sim accessory.

I remember the days that Turtle Beach was mostly a maker of sound carts that were an alternative to Creative Labs/SoundBlaster. After that things went downhill a bit, but it would appear that the are back and with a serious fury!
I've used mostly a competitor's X56 setup for any flight games (mostly play DCS, SW:Squadrons and MS Flight Sim). I unfortunately was one of the folks who setup MS Flight Sim MANUALLY before the update came out that included pre-defined mapping for the entire setup. It was a painstaking process - ok not actually painful but it was time intensive. I additionally did the same for the other two games. I've stuck with my manually setup controls since I've grown used to them.
WOW - just WOW - this stick gives a whole new feel to flight controls. It's hard to describe but it gives a premium feel - not the standard piece of plastic feel. It's as if this is something you'd genuinely find in a cockpit.
I've lost a lot of sleep these past days playing with this setup - it's really breathed new life into the sims that I like to play, even if just for a fresh "feel". FANTASTIC job, Turtle Beach, outstanding!

These sticks are the best sticks I have ever owned, and I have had many in my 20 plus years of gaming and flight sims. The buttons switches, and knobs have an amazing feel and response, and have limitless programable functions. These guys have thought of everything. Spend the money, you wont regret it.
