I wanted to love these, but they aren’t as user friendly as they seem. I was never able to get the music sync to work. The pre-designed lighting options are your best bet. Interestingly there was only one option to mimic traditional white lights and it was actually more yellow than a warm white. So was a bit disappointed in not having that option. Custom designs are finicky to create, but it’s possible if you take enough time to figure it out. This next tip I learned the hard way 1 day into having these up on the tree.. If a light goes out in the strand, entire chunks of the lights go out with it. Had a pet chew one light, and lost about 6feet of the lights before the damaged light and 3-4ft of lights after it. All that said, the lights are cool. There is a wide range of effect options. The timer in the app works well.

Just so cool. They actually work as advertised, even at large scale. You can combine multiple strings and have them act as a single animated unit.

Have had up 3 weeks and works great. Expensive but really cool lights, easy to string lights on tree, then little time working with the app to get full effects.

Twinkly lights work like a charm they are some of the better lights to use. What I like about them is the customizing the lights.

Worth every penny! We cut out the old lights from our tree and upgraded with these. So amazing!!

We bought our first set of Twinkly 250 last Christmas and we ar were very impressed, but it didn't have Dongle. This year we added this 600 set.

Fairly easy to set up. Fun way to decorate. You can leave them up all year and change your theme for each season and holiday.

A little pricey but well worth it plus it can be used in future years. The app works well and is user friendly.

Really cool lights that allow you to program individual lights. Gives you the option to change up your lights every night. Easy to setup too.

Amazing technology at an great price. The app is so cool and the different options are awesome. Paid $200 on sale and it was worth it!

A must-have for the festive. Had to add an access point closer to the wifi modules to download large scenes but everyone loved them.

If you like playing with tech and lights - this is for you. Lot's and fun and versatility. A great addition to our holiday decorations!

Good lights in the sense of the ideas since there is nothing on the market like them as of now. I’m sure other light companies will jump in eventually. Don’t think the music dongle is worth it as the settings are limited in terms of effects and some of them don’t react to the music. At the end of the day I don’t think the price tag is worth it especially if you wil be using it just for a Christmas tree. I would have return them if I didn’t have them on my tree already and didn’t want to deal with all of that. Definitely has a wow factor but that gets lost after a week or two
