I got this product to go with my Surface 3 because it can be a "computer" as well. There's really not much to review because it's a keyboard, but I'll point out the pros and cons. Pros: *small and easy to carry *connects to the surface easily *has everything a normal keyboard would have Cons: *small/hard to type on. I have small hands and even I have a hard time typing. *not enough color variations. I would say over all it's a very good purchase and love the product. I would definitely recommend it to anyone getting the surface 3.

Great Keyboard, function is good, key responce just like the bigger keypads. Handy mouse pad, and added protection for device. Would recomend.

This keyboard is very durable, and when i flip it on the back side of my surface, it becomes a arm wrest and shield and the button disconnect..

I like the keyboard, it feels like a real keyboard, it mates easily with the surface. The keyboard is one of the reasons I got my Surface.

I've had the Surface Pro as well as my current Surface 3, I can say that this is the best feeling keyboard Microsoft has released. It is responsive, the keys have good travel, and you barely notice that the keys are just slightly smaller. Microsoft also removed the unnecessary keys for Windows 8.1 due to the upcoming changes in Windows 10, so there is more general functionality. The touchpad is a bit small but it is responsive and works well, so if you're okay with a smaller touchpad for mouse use, you'll be just fine. Highly recommend!

it's like having an ultra light laptop when the keyboard is attached. wouldn't have the surface if it didn't have the keyboard option.

This keyboard was a wonderful addition to my surface pro. It's easy to detach and reattached at any time and is easy to use. I love it!

The keyboard for the Surface 3 tablet is exceptional!! Love the ability to take it on and off without damaging the tablet. Easy to use.

Overall, this keyboard/cover has worked very well for me, it looks nice, and is easy to type on. Of course the trackpad isn't the greatest just like any other trackpad but I use the Surface edition Bluetooth mouse with it or the touchscreen most of the time anyway. This keyboard/cover is pretty much a necessity for the Surface, although it is possible to use the Surface without it if you don't plan on installing a lot of desktop apps. The apps in the Windows store are made with touchscreen in mind, desktop app are not.

The keyboard is such a cool thing. The way it connects to the surface is pretty cool. It also serves as protection cover. Worth it.

At first the chicklet style keyboard didn't appeal to me. However, after using this for over a month (nearly every day), I have yet to tire of it. I do make a few of the same mistakes over and over, like hitting a comma instead of a period to end a sentence, but perhaps that's my poor technique. My boyfriend who has larger hands says that he almost prefers typing on this keyboard to any other! The soft feel on the outside is really nice to touch and I love how securely it snaps to the Surface. More colors, please!

Original Surface keyboard is brobably the must have accessory for owners. Really make surface usage more fun and easier.

This keyboard attached to the MS Surface Pro 3 tablet makes for a powerful, useful machine. The letters are lighted on the keys, not back lit, & the spacing & surface of the keys feels good to the touch. It has a good mouse pad and the Surface Pro 3 is Bluetooth equipped so a mouse can be added and keep the USB port available for external backup drive, CD/DVD player, etc. The magnetic system connecting the keyboard to the Surface Pro 3 tablet holds them together easily & securely.

If you like to actually punch keys and not a pad. I suggest you get one of these. It just snaps in and it's ready to go.

Okay, so this keyboard is expensive, especially when compared with a full-size keyboard. That being said, this keyboard truly opens up the potential of the Surface. It's a massive help when using Office programs. While getting used to the feel of the keyboard takes a little time, it is more solid than it feels like it should be. It's easy to type on and provides protection for your device's screen, which is absolutely necessary for a device that is designed to be carried everywhere.

I love the back lit keys and it fits my surface perfectly! The color is great and it seems sturdy and well built.

The keys are very smooth and I love that we can convert the tablet to a mini laptop thanks to the snap on keyboard.

This keyboard is essential for larger projects and protecting the tablet. Very thin, light, and easy to remove.

This keyboard is a very good size and I love that it is backlit. It is idiot-proof to attach and detach to the tablet. It also offers a great protection for the screen. I was a bit hesitant about buying all the add-ons - but this is a good investment. Be certain you buy the right one. There are several models of keyboards and the packages are not as clear about which models they fit. I had the wrong one in my hand and the Best Buy folks noticed and got me squared away.

It's great!!! Light weight and skinny keys. Not bulky either. Easy to use and type with. Just all around great!!!
