My other one did not do this in the different case. I’m afraid with time the closure at the top will break off it is not very substantial.

Why are there gaps? There are parts of the iPad, near the physical buttons where your device is unprotected from side impacts. Screen cracked as a result. Avoid this product if you want to actually protect your iPad.

Do not waste your money

For this case to have cost me $60, I needed it to do better. There is absolutely no support whatsoever. Anytime I try to prop it up, it's falling within minutes. The only support it has to keep itself propped up is a few indentations on the front flap for the iPad to rest in. Hardly sufficient and not at all what I expected when I purchased it. Honestly, I expected more for my money.
