If You Need Fast Qi 2.2 Charging

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Battery banks are unexciting, so I appreciate that UGreen put some creativity into this new MagFlow Qi 2.2 model. It’s one of the first certified Qi 2.2 magnetic battery banks on the market. Qi 2.2 ups magnetically delivered power from the Qi 2.0 15w standard to 25w for supported devices. This includes all variants of the iPhone 16 and 17 and the Google Pixel 10 and Pro XL. There may be other Android phones too, so check with the manufacturer for compatibility. While MagFlow is backwards compatible with older Qi devices it’s at the slower speeds those support, negating the MagFlow’s main feature, speed.
DOUBLE DUTY USB-C CABLE
Another MagFlow feature is its unique built-in USB-C cable that doubles as a carry strap. It’s a fun idea. Internal cables are old news, but the courage to use the cable as a carry strap is quite fresh. The cable feels robust and durable, and supposedly it can take 10K bends. Still, I wonder, having had many cables’ strain relief fail on me – maybe because of abuse, but consumers rarely baby cables.
The other problem I have with the cable/strap it’s always there, even if I don’t want a strap. Built-in cables usually either fit in valley in the battery bank or are retractable. Here, the cable/strap cannot be tucked away and I find it often just gets in the way.
The magnet on the Magflow instantly snaps to my iPhone 17 Pro Max and has a Hercules hold. I suppose the intention is to pop the MagFlow onto the phone and use the strap to carry the Magflow and attached phone. I tested this out and it does work until you bump the phone or Magflow on your leg or worse. At that point the phone will shift and if the hit is powerful enough, dislodge. So, ultimately, while the strap idea is novel, I’m not sure how practical it is.
BUILD QUALITY
Aside from the strap issue the MagFlow is excellent, in both design and functionality. I can tell UGreen put effort into making this battery bank look attractive and modern. In-hand it feels both solid and safe, probably the most important feature in a battery bank. And it has all the requisite overheating and over charging features. When charging it barely gets warm to the touch.
It’s nicely machined light blue aluminum with smooth, curved corners that can’t pierce you as you pick it up. There’s even a small nook to rest the thumb next to the screen. And the power button, while tiny, is “clicky” and always responds to my request. It really is a handsome piece.
There’s sure to be complaints about its thickness, and that’s fair because it’s definitely chonky. There are slimer battery banks around, but at reduced charge speed too. That makes them run cooler which is why they are slimer. I’m not an engineer, but I’m sure UGreen made the MagFlow as slim as possible while keeping it max safe too.
CHARGING
Functionally, the MagFlow has 10K mAh, which is a decent size for a daily driver. It’s enough to fill my iPhone almost twice. It’s also far below the max 27K mAh allowed on airplanes so no worries there either. Being “just” 10K mAh, it’s important to keep track of how much juice is available so UGreen included a real time battery percent meter. If it has 25% charge power remaining, you see “25.” I’ve found the meter to be accurate and so much more useful than the bars many other battery banks have. I mean what does 1 bar left mean? It could be 1% or 25%, which is a huge difference.
Now to the substance of the MagFlow. My first magnetic charge didn’t go well at all, taking 40 minutes for a 25% battery boost. Turned out my phone case was the culprit because it was off to the races after I removed it. The next 25% took half that time.
If you need a slightly faster charge both the built-in USB-C cable and the additional USB-C port can supply up to 30w of power. It charged my 17 Pro Max too 100% in about 1.3 hours.
Between all its power outputs, MagFlow can charge three devices simultaneously, but at a vastly slower speed. In this scenario, the magnetic charging drops to 5w and USB-C to 7w. For how I use battery banks, being able to charge three devices simultaneously is a bonus because usually it’s just my phone that runs low during the day. But it’s good to know, when traveling, if I need to top up my Airpod case or iPad I can.
One last note, which I found buried in the manual. While MagFlow supports trickle charging, it must be activated by pressing the power button for 3 seconds. Once the charge is completed trickle charging turns off and must be reactivated if desired again.
BOTTOMLINE
The MagFlow is one of the fastest battery banks around with its Qi 2.2 25w speeds plus 30w USB-C charging too. If you have a compatible Qi 2.2 phone, and time is money to you, it’s worth a look. It’s on the large side and the built-in cable/strap can be more of a nuisance and help so you’ll want to weigh that into your consideration.

Simple, Solid Charging — Wired or Wireless

This is a solid, well-balanced design that is not too bulky and is great for everyday charging with both wired and wireless options. The small digital display on the side is a great addition to monitor the battery percentage. This power bank is a perfect portable companion eliminating the need for a separate charging cable. The matte finish adds to the aesthetics and resists fingerprints well. It supports simultaneous wired and wireless charging, with smart power sharing to manage output and heat.
The built-in USB-C cable is very handy for charging non-magnetic devices and for charging the power bank itself. It adopts the Qi2 standard, which delivers faster and more efficient wireless charging with a strong magnetic hold. The charger stayed well aligned with my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, and I didn’t have to worry about holding the charger while on the move. In addition to the built-in USB-C cable, it also has a USB-C port, allowing multiple devices to be charged at the same time.
Wireless charging tops out at 15W via Qi2, while the USB-C output supports up to 25W, which is great for fast charging. The 10,000mAh capacity is enough to charge my Galaxy Fold 7 for about two full charges, making it ideal for travel days. I’m very particular about using power banks on flights, and I didn’t notice excessive heat during charging, which suggests effective built-in safety and temperature protection. It does get slightly warm during wireless charging, which is normal.
It uses a polymer lithium-ion battery and is under 100Wh (≈37Wh), well below the FAA limit. Overall, its a great portable charger and is reasonably priced.

UGreen MagFlow: The Ultimate Travel Companion

I have been using the UGREEN MagFlow QI 2.2 25W Power with QI 2.2 certification and it's one of the first batteries to offer the 30W wireless speed standard. Wireless charging has always been fairly slow on these power banks so I was interested to see if this actually felt faster. It's a 10,000 mAh pack which is a good size for daily use.
- Design/Build/Unboxing -
The box comes with a power banks and a USB-C cable. The exterior is a silicone material that feels soft and easy to grip. It's not the smallest battery out there but it's portable. It's about .75" thick and approximately 9 ounces. There are 17 magnets that help hold your phone to the MagSafe ring. There's also a digital display that tells you exactly how much percentage charge is left in the powerbank.
- Specs & Features -
Wireless Charging uses the QI 2.2 standard for 25 watts of wireless power, much faster than the previous 15W MagSafe chargers. For Wired charging there's a built-in USB cable and an extra port that both do 30W charging. There's also multi-device support where you can use all 3 at once but the overall power is split amongst the three. I did notice that my phone doesn't seem to get as hot when you use the cable vs the Magsafe charger.
- Performance -
2% 8:32 - I started with 2% power when I started charging my iPhone 16 Pro
49% 9:13 - 41 minutes later I was at 49%
65% 9:42 (36%) - 29 minutes later I was at 65%
80% 10:05 - 23 minutes later I was at 80%
The phone did heat up significantly, but I've had my phone heat up from other standard wall chargers too, just not as much. As mentioned before. My overall opinion after using this charger is that it's very convenient, it does the job, and it's great for carrying around in a bag or a purse when you're out shopping or at an event. I also like the design of the cable that also functions as a carrying loop/lanyard. I would recommend it if you need a travel battery. You should be able to get about 2 charges for your iPhone 16/17 before you need to charge the battery unit again.
- Pros/Cons -
*Pros*
- 25W wireless charging speed
- Built-in cable means no extra wires
- Magnetic hold is secure
- Digital Display
- Multi-Device charging (up to 3)
*Suggestions/Needs Improvement*
- A little larger than I expected
- Can get a little hot on the MagSafe

Great Magnetic Power Bank for Travel

I got this UGREEN MagFlow power bank cuz I wanted something that’s actually easy to use on the go no extra cables, no fiddling, just stick it on my phone and go. And honestly, it’s been exactly that.
First off the magnetic wireless charging is strong. It snaps to my phone securely and stays put even when I’m walking around or tossing my phone in a bag. The charger supports up to 25W Qi2.2 wireless output, which is way faster than older MagSafe‑style chargers. That actually matters my phone jumps up much faster than it did on my old pad, so if I’m out for a quick errand, I can top up from like 20% to something usable in a short time.
It also has a built‑in USB‑C cable for wired charging, and that’s a huge convenience win. No digging around for a cord; the cable is already there, neatly tucked on the side. Wired charging goes up to 30W, so when I really need a quick boost or need to charge something that doesn’t support wireless, this thing handles it without drama.
Battery life is solid for a compact pack. The 10,000 mAh capacity usually lets me charge my phone almost fully once, maybe twice if I’m careful, which is perfect for a day trip or a long commute. I’ve used it multiple times and it never let me down mid‑day. I also like the small display that shows battery level; no guessing how much juice is left.
The build looks clean and not cheap. The blue color I got looks nicer than most plain black chargers, and it feels fairly sturdy in hand. It’s not super thin, but that’s fine for what it does. I do feel it in my pocket, but it’s not heavy or awkward. The magnetic ring is strong enough that I can use my phone while it’s charging, which a lot of older magsafe banks didn’t do well.
Only tiny issues: wireless charging is still a tad slower than plugging the cable in, but that’s just physics wireless is never going to beat wired, and this is already much faster than older wireless ones. Also it’s a bit thicker than ultra‑thin cards, so if you want something extremely slim, it’s not that. But for normal everyday carry, it’s perfect.
Overall, this is now my go‑to power bank. I literally leave it in my bag and barely think about it, then when my phone drops low snap it on, or plug in the cable and my phone’s back to life fast. If you want a practical, fast, and neat‑looking MagSafe battery that doesn’t annoy you with cables, this is a great pick.

The Ugreen Qi2 Wireless Power bank Is designed nice, but not the fastest charger.
The Ugreen charger has some nice features that make it stand out from other portable power banks; the most noticeable is the built-in Qi2 Wireless charger. The magnetic attachment is sturdy and strong; it holds your iPhone securely without it dropping. There is also a built-in USB-C cable the acts as a holding strap when not in use. You can also use this cable to charge your phone, for a faster charge. Lastly, there is a small LCD display on the side of the device that displays the percentage of battery remaining in the charger. This display is a great feature especially to let you know when to charge the device.
The quality of the charger is great! The shell is made of aluminum, with a rubber top over the wireless charging port and a solid plastic case on the other side. The USB-C cable is a braided cable that is made of good quality materials. As far as the charging of the unit is concerned, there are 2 different options; you can use the 25W Qi2 wireless charging port, or you can use the USB-C cable which charges at a max of 30W.
I tried using the wireless charging port first, it was ok, not the fastest charger I’ve used by far. In fact, it took a long time to charge my iPhone 16, especially when my phone was at 95%. I watched as the battery on the charger drained a whole 20% just to get my phone that extra 5%. It didn’t seem to matter what percentage my phone battery was at, as it was slow to charge using the wireless charger. When I used the USB-C cable, that was able to charge my phone a little faster, but it would still drain the power bank pretty quick.
Overall, I love the quality of the power bank, it is made with great materials and it’s very sturdy. I also really like all the features this power bank offers, especially the LCD screen that displays battery power, and the added USB-C cable. Unfortunately, the charger itself takes a while to charge my phone, and the power bank drains particularly fast. But it is a good option to have in case of an emergency and for that I would recommend this to people who need a power bank.

Lots of Fast Charging Power

The MagFlow Qi2.2 is a great little portable charger that packs a lot of backup power with wireless charging. The built in USB-C cable is a great addition that doubles as a nice strap if needed, and the digital display helps to more accurately display charging levels. This portable charger is great for people that aren't going to have it in harsher environments, while not the best for those that will.
The build quality is pretty good on this thing with a few caveats. The braided USB-C cable is really nice and seems durable enough. It has a built in USB-C port that will allow you to connect other peripheral cables as needed. The finish on the body of the charger is what feels/looks like aluminum while the bigger faces are more of a rubbery material. The magsafe charger seems to work fine enough with iPhone devices, but doesn't work with my Samsung Galaxy Ultra S24. The wireless charging will work, but it doesn't auto align and the charging speed is much lower than with the USB-C cable, so I don't see the usefulness of the wireless charging. Its right there, you might as well just plug it in.
The complaint I have with build quality is how easily this thing scores/stains. I traveled a round trip on my motorcycle with this simply resting in the saddle bag and it scored up the sides and left black marks all over the rubber faces. So while it looks nice and neat, a couple trips in a bag or backpack will have it looking a little rough.
As for charging, it charges very fast and has enough capacity to charge my S24 Ultra twice. It charges at a rate of 25w, which means my phone from near empty to full would charge in 1 1/2 hours, which is pretty good for a wireless charger.

You can never have enough chargers in today’s mobile world. Enter the UGREEN - MagFlow Qi2.2 25W Magnetic Power Bank for MagSafe, 10,000mAh Portable Charger with Built-in USB-C Cable.
This latest UGreen portable power bank is a great addition to my travel bag. It is solid build quality, comes with a built-in USB-C cable loop that can also act as a wrist band strap. There is an additional USB-C port, so you can charge multiple devices. Additionally there is a small built-in informational display showing the percentage power left in the battery bank - a very practical feature. Once it’s down to 5%, it will start blinking to warn you need to recharge it.
The MagSafe magnet is very strong and is absolutely needed to achieve perfect alignment for 25W wireless charging. I was able to get over 45% uptick on my wife’s iPhone 16 in about 30 minutes. I also tested it with my Galaxy S25 Ultra which does not officially support Qi 2.2, so I only got fast wireless charging from 79% to 100% in about 40 minutes. When using the built-in USB-C cable super-fast charging kicked in and completed 25% charge in about 25 minutes. That only drained about 14% out of the UGreen power bank.
Overall this is a sleek looking Power Bank, a bit thicker than others, weighing 8.8 ounces but delivering the fastest wireless charging to the latest mobile phones and wired charging to tablets and even laptops or Chromebooks.

I don’t own a lot of UGreen products, maybe one multiport desktop charging device and it has worked great for me. I saw this one and thought it was an upgrade over several of the current portable chargers that I have. It’s loaded with features and works great.
This is a 10,000mah Qi2 wireless charger that has a charging speed up 25w, which is currently the fastest wireless charging speed available. It comes with a very sturdy, built-in USB-C cable that acts as a carrying handle as well. It has some weight to it, but it’s not heavy or unbearable to throw in a backpack.
The LED display is a great addition as well. It gives at a glance notice of how much battery life is remaining. It does have a USB-C port for recharging the device, along with the attached cable. I tried charging multiple items at once and that didn’t seem to work at all, which is why I deducted one star. I placed my iPhone on the Qi2 charger and then plugged in my Amazon Heliostrap using the USB-c port and the phone stopped charging. I then tried using the attached cable to recharge my smart ring and again the phone stopped charging. I was able to use each port individually and things worked fine. So you cannot charge multiple devices at once.
Overall, I really like the device especially with the fast charging which I forgot to mention earlier, when using fast charging it displays that in the LED display. This product was well thought out and includes the latest charging options, but they missed the mark on being able to multi-charge devices. Even with that, I would still recommend this charger.

With our lives having so many power hungry gadgets a power bank always comes handy. UGreen's latest power bank checks all the boxes for a power bank. It has a sleek design with few creative ideas (e.g. in-built charging cable serves as a carrying strap and the LED indicator clearly shows how much charge the bank has).
It is not slim and I don't think you will be able to carry it in your pocket. But other than that it does everything as promised. It was able to charge my Samsung Galaxy S25+ from 10% to 60% in approximately 30 minutes using magnetic charging. The magnet on the bank is quite strong. The charging via USB-C cable is faster than magnetic charger. You can also charge multiple devices simultaneously but the charging speed drops in that case.
It also supports trickle charging which is handy for smaller gadgets (e.g. ear buds). You need to press the power button for approximately 3 seconds to turn the trickle charging mode on. Also, it resets to fast charging mode after each charge.
So, overall it is a solid fast charging power bank with the latest Qi 2.2 technology that allows fast wireless charging at upto 25W. The sleek design and all other features combined together make it super useful. If you are looking for a fast MagSafe charger, you should definitely consider this.

I have a Samsung mobile device and have been wanting to test out Magsafe and see what it is all about. After hearing so much about it I figured I should check it out. Now I am aware of the fact that it is primarily designed for apple products but it has been adopted for use with other devices.
The Ugreen magsafe battery is 10,000 mAh and you can use it for Magsafe wireless charging or wired for quick charging. I have the Samsung S24 Ultra and I can charge it twice before having to recharge the battery pack. It is also a neat feature that you can quick charge the Magsafe battery pack. And it is also worth mentioning the charging cable is embedded so you can’t lose it.
While the battery pack is a little on the thick side it does a phenomenal job.
One thing worth mentioning is that you MUST buy the right case for your phone especially with all the dumb protruding camera lenses and poorly made cases that may keep your Magsafe battery from sitting flush on the Magsafe ring. Once you have that figured out then you are good to go.

Bit bulky but charges quickly

Overall, this MagSafe adapter shines because it supports a 50% faster Qi2 standard vs any other Qi charger I have. It’s form factor is fairly bulky and isn’t super comfortable actually use with a phone while charging wirelessly. It also boasts a usb-c connection which charges even faster than the Qi-2 standard, so I’ll find myself just plugging in via USB-C instead of using the MagSafe charging.
Overall, it’s got a 10,000mAh capacity which is more than enough to fully charge my phone. Despite its bulkiness, I still find myself often picking it up instead of my smaller-capacity slimmer power bank when I know I’m going to be away for a significant amount of time. However, given the choice for a quick trip when I just need a top off, this power bank is a bit overkill and bulkier than comfortable. Even writing this review, I initially had the power bank charging my phone, attached via MagSafe, but ended up removing it because I couldn’t type comfortably with it attached.
Overall I’d still recommend this charger if you’re looking for something with a solid charge capacity and don’t mind the extra bulk. If you need something you’re going to comfortably be able to use while holding your phone as well, you might want to consider a slimmer option.
