This is an amazing bluetooth speaker and no surprise from UE Heavy & solid out of the box Simple to set-up. Excluding the updates at the end, it would have taken seconds Rich powerful sound from a circular direction Connects to your Amazon account for all of your playlists Why not "5" stars? No link to Spotify or other playlists. And not clear how to connect to other smart home features such as fans (Haiku) and lighting (Belkin)

This is my first Alexa enabled device. Setup was easy. Firmware updated and was able to sign into my Amazon account using Nexus 6 phone. Used the Ultimate Ears app to get going. Haven’t installed the Alexa app yet but eventually will, as it adds more functionality to the device. Assume U can sign out, so others can share the device, without access to my credit card info. At the moment, I don’t have a lot of Amazon content, so used Bluetooth, to listen to my music library. This may change with free videos from Amazon and support for the Chromecast. Works fine with Nexus 6 and Toshiba Chromebook 1 just so U know. Sound is OK but can’t detect much bass. When I opened the box it came in, I was surprised at how small it is. So, U might want to look up product specs, at the manufacturer's product website. Battery charged up in under 60 minutes. Should have purchased the optional charging base, but can always do that later. Oh and this device has a good on/off feature. Gives U an unusual audio tone, which is fine with me. I have used another BT speaker from Bose, that was difficult to turn on and off, so this is a welcomed feature.

Loud, and bassy, easy to setup and comes with Amazon music subscription when setting up Alexa. Also Alexa's freestyle rapping is behind Bixby by a mile

This is my first kind of wireless speaker, and the first for any kind of Amazon Alexa device. Speaker connects to your home network via wi-fi network. Sound quality is pretty good for such a small speaker, but these will not replace true higher powered stereo speakers powered thru a dedicated receiver. It is however a great thing to have in a smaller room, and the sound is impressive in those situations - like a bedroom. With Alexa you can say voice commands to the speakers, and on command it will raise the volume, change podcasts, specific genres, artists, etc. The alexa commands work on most the services it currently supports, but more are coming in a future updated, and will include Pandora control. Alexa commands will also do other things not specifically music related too, like buying items, controlling smart devices in your residence that are on your home wifi network, news, weather, etc. Setup of the speaker basically requires you to pair the speakers with your smartphone, then installing the ultimate ears app, register speaker with alexa app on your phone, and then it will be paired to your wifi network. Any future updates to Alexa, or the system firmware on the speakers should come directly and automatically. If you are not thrilled of Alexa listening all the time, you can still use the speaker as bluetooth speakers, but if you are getting these the main selling point, is that they are not only bluetooth speakers, but ones with Alexa artificial intelligence control ability. Very cool speakers overall for smaller rooms!

This speaker produces great 360 degree sound. The design looks good, but the usb port is hidden on the bottom under a screwed on cap, so that's a little frustrating to deal with every time you need a charge. I've had a little trouble with Alexa recognizing what I was trying to get her to play, but that may be due to the loudness of the speaker. This is a good alternative to getting a Echo device however.

Alexa function is very unreliable speaker works sporadically barely usable very dissatisfying experience. App has many negative reviews which was consistent with the speakers performance! .

Loses wifi connection and now will not turn on, have to wait for label and then ship back , then wait for them to determine what is wrong, then find out if they will ship one to me that will work.

Ive had the 1st gen UE boom and i loved it. Decided to try out the blast because it has Alexa. Since the two days ive had it. its loud, sounds good, but it drops every time on my phone i dont understand why. Alexa doesnt really respond to anything and says to setup my setting when i had already done it. Maybe i just got the unlucky speaker but other than that, a good speaker.

Works horrible always is loosing Bluetooth signal and sounds really bad ,, we tried many times to contact the company but we never had any answer

I was very excited about the UE BOOM BLAST with Alexa integration. The sound quality was flawless, great bass and very clear vocals. But when using Alexa the Bluetooth disconnects from a device that its synced to. The Ultimate Ears app is clean but does not have a lot of user settings. Its great speaker that needs a few updates

We used to have another speaker from same company and was awesome but this one nah I’m really disappointed so slow when you’re trying to connect

This is junk, do not buy. Battery doesn't last and it keeps shutting off and now it won't even turn on.

I love this speaker with Alexa. Setup was very easy and downloading the app on my phone and using my amazon account with it was very easy. The sound is amazing and solid bass. I used it while hanging out with friends and we had a blast (no pun intended), because it was so easy to use and fun with the demands. I would buy another unit to get surround sound.

love the speaker. gets pretty loud for what it is. I like that it has wifi as well so you can get a much better distance and can walk around. just need to be within wifi range. or you can also use Bluetooth. it seems to be sturdy as well. have dropped it on accident and still works and seems to have no damage. alexa is pretty cool to use with this as well. I just wished there was a way to use alexa thru my phone. if I walk away, I can control things thru my phone app like song, volume etc. but volume does not work well at times. I will set it higher or lower and have to set it a couple times as it would go up or down but then back to what it was prior. also, if away cant seem to use alexa with just phone. have to be within the speaker range. but overall still pleased with this. enjoy having the speaker and using it. loud and keeps its sound well without distorting. I recommend this speaker.

I wanted to love this speaker but it constantly drops the Bluetooth connection. Returning it.

After reaches 80% charge it starts shutting down and continues to do so.

It never would take a Charge and it did not work. Maybe. Manufacturing issue?

I’ve tried charging it 3 times now and it’s dead after about 30 min of use.

Trash......speaker has a mind of its own and it broke within 2 weeks

Easy to set up. Use it to stream Amazon music while working on projects around the house. planting flowers, staining deck etc. Great sound, more than powerful enough. Thought I might need the MegaBlast, but this is perfect. The only downside, is Alexa can't control the volume to the granular level you can manually control it on the Blast. Amazon only has 10 settings, the Blast has more then that so if you want it really quiet, level one on Alexa might be too loud so you need to use the manual volume down. Battery longevity seems to be great.
