Nice speaker but not very loud and the bass is not that great. So Ultimate Ears has this rated at 45 hz for the bass which is pretty decent but rtings dot com (not sure if I could put a link in this review) tested it and has it rated at 55 hz. To me the bass is just not that deep. I have a HomePod and when it is setting the suggested 6 - 12 inches from a wall, the bass sounds much deeper to me. However the Hyperboom is definitely much louder than the HomePod. Loudness: Here is why I think the volume sounds lower than it probably really is. The speakers in the Hyperboom are pointing at 90 degrees from each other meaning that the separation is awesome but because the sound is so separated (pointing away from your ears), the sound seems much lower than it probably really is. Example: If you listen to a Marshall Woburn II which has two bass and two treble speakers just like the Hyperboom BUT they are both pointing directly at you, you will find it sounds much, much louder than the Hyperboom. Part of that reason is because it has a higher Db rating but mostly because both speakers are pointing directly at you while the Hyperboom’s speakers are pointing indirectly at you. Anyway, I was very disappointed after reading so many positive reviews from professionals and others. I have to agree with the review on rtings dot com. I will be returning it today and keeping my HomePod.

Sound quality is great. Sometimes a problem connecting using the app. It also doesn't always charge when it says it is.

Let me just state the point from the beginning, go ahead and buy this speaker!! You won't be disappointed! It is truly an amazing piece of technology. First of all, it is manufactured by UE (Ultimate Ears). They are know for legendary audio quality and they do not disappoint! Before receiving this speaker, I have tried out some UE musicians in ear monitors and the sound quality was second to none. They place the same high standards on this speaker. First of all, this thing gets LOUD. For the size of it, you automatically expect it to perform, and it does, with flying colors. This speaker gives amazing sound quality at 100% volume. No distortion whatsoever. And the bass is unbelievable! No matter what volume level your operating the speaker at, you can distinguish the bass, and I personally love that! Now, I will say, this speaker is HEAVY! Weighing in at around 13 lbs, it a a beast. It does feel like it is built sturdy, out of premium products. It has an integrated carrying handle and it's splash proof. It also has more than just bluetooth hookups, which there are 2 of by the way. It accepts an aux cable and an optical cable. On top of the speaker there is a power button, an input button, and the volume buttons. The top also possesses a microphone that senses the surrounding area and adjusts the speaker to it's best EQ performance. The bottom of the speaker has a rubberized non slip surface. I have noticed that although the speaker is somewhat omnidirectional, the treble and bass come out better on specific sides, most likely due to speaker placement. The speaker has a cloth textured cover around all four sides of the speaker. This speaker can also be synced with other UE speakers. My only complaint is battery life. The speaker is advertised to last approx. 24 hours, but that is only if you are playing at half of or less than the highest volume. At full blast, you'll be looking at getting approx 3 house on a charge. But, with the way the speaker puts out sound, it doesn't surprise me the battery life is short. Everybody who sees and hears this speaker is amazed. Hands down, it smokes any bluetooth speaker on the marker. Purchase it, you'll be glad you did!

The quality is amazing, I love this purchase but it is still in a one weeks use I just bought this. We will see if any technical issues arise for no reason but I am absolutely in love.

I love this speaker its really easy to use. I wish it had xlr ports but i have a work around so its ok.
