Probably wouldn’t purchase again. Just seems a little light for the price of the speaker

I love this speaker, one of the best Bluetooth speakers on the market if not the best. Can be used as sound bar but that's not its purpose. I read many reviews before purchasing this speaker and all reviews were great.

Man, I’ve never been more excited about a portable bluetooth speaker until this thing came along. It’s unapologetically large, but maintains such a simple rectangular design, moving away from the typical UE cylindrical line up. And man does it sound good! This speaker actually has 6 drivers (2 low, 2 mid and 2 high), each group configured on one of the four faces. Initially it threw me off, making me think this thing is just all bass. Then when you walk around it, you now can hear the mids and highs. Once you determine what side of the speaker is outputting what sound, then you can position it to your liking. Connectivity is pretty standard; put the speaker in pairing mode for bluetooth (it accepts two BT inputs) and connect to your source of sound. It also allows input for aux or optical if you have a need for that. This thing can get extremely loud with no distortion! I am completely floored by its performance and have kept it near me whenever I get a chance to use it! I’ve used it around the home and outside while I was doing some yard work. But my most favorite way of using this thing is paired to my portable projector. It’s like a soundbar to my projector, but in a more manageable form factor. A soundtangle, perhaps? I think the only minor setback would be if you had this set up in a central area in or outdoors. Depending on where you’re standing with respect to the speaker, you may hear more bass or more treble. The mids and highs fire off adjacent sides and the lows fire off the opposite adjacent sides. Highly recommended. Bravo, UE.

Its one of the best and outstanding wifi subwoofers that i have purchase in years. Thinking about getting a second one for the stereo effects.

Is UE Hyperboom the best portable party speaker on the market? Out of the box setup is a breeze with easy pairing via Bluetooth and for additional functionality you can download the UE Boom app. The app allows adjustment of EQ settings, setup of one touch playlists, pairing to other Boom speakers, and additional controls of the speaker itself in case you don’t want to use the hard buttons on the speaker. The app is easy to use however I did experience some intermittent connections issues when closing and opening the app in one listening session. The speaker itself feels like a solid unit with no real cheap material feel. The inputs are found under a rubber cover as this speaker is IPX4 rated. Right above the inputs is a slick handle which slides flush when not in use. This is easily one of my favorite features because its non-intrusive and also very functional! The top features LARGE volume buttons which are touch sensitive along with the power button and input selection button. Inputs: - Two Bluetooth Inputs - Optical - Aux When it comes to sound this speaker is LOUD. The volume range is great and features plenty of bass at the majority of volume levels. The speaker can use a microphone on the top which automatically adjusts the EQ for the current placement of the speaker. I didn’t notice a difference with this feature turned on or off but it didn’t hurt the sound quality in any way. The sound is fairly directional as the main two woofers sit at 45 degree angles from the front. This provides a solid 180-210 degree of coverage from the front and sides. It is only when you start to listen from the back of the speaker do you lose quite a bit of detail but gain some exposure to the bass. This isn’t a huge negative because if placed in a corner of the room (Which may benefit sound overall) you are in front of the main sound projection, but if placed in the middle of an area there will be some directional sound loss. The bass is more boomy than tight like a ported box but this is expected from this type of party speaker as the goal is to provide loud rather than punchy. The EQ adjustments work to tweak sound characteristics but the more you move the bar the quieter than speaker will become to compensate for the less bass or more highs. The max volume will likely be attained with all the EQ levels centered like out of the box. This speaker is PLENTY to fill a large garage or shop with sound and makes for a great party speaker with its IPX4 rating. This only thing to note is that this is only achieved with BT as once the rubber flap is open the other inputs are exposed. My only real gripe with this speaker is the lack of any smart speaker capabilities. I realize this is meant to be a party speaker but having Alexa built in would be nice to see in a speaker of this price level. Having a setting to turn it on or off within the app would be perfect as those who do not want to use it do not have to. I say this because I use a speaker in a garage and giving verbal cues to a speaker is much easier which your hands are dirty or the speaker/phone is readily available. Overall, the UE Hyperboom very well might be the best party speaker on the market with its durable design, incredible volume, input selections, and portability but lacks a key feature I expect on a speaker of this price point, a smart speaker assistant. I would still highly recommend this speaker is anyone in the market for a speaker of this type as its produces some great sound and volume out of a very compact footprint. Pros: + Several Inputs with two BT channels + Very loud with lots of bass + IPX4 rating with nifty handle + App easy to use with several features Cons: - No smart speaker capability - Could be heavy to some (13lbs) - AC adaptor for charging

Love using this speaker, it does what it says and happy we bought it. We bought an open box one and it works great!
