The app is annoying to use and they are very iffy. They be disconnecting very easily when you use two of them at the same time.

Great sound until it breaks. After a few months of minimal use, the speaker rattles at higher volumes. Not good use for parties if you want it to last long.

It is the better portable speaker on the market while it last, get the extended warranty from Best Buy, but it on your own risk

This is an awesome sounding speaker. I do like it a lot but there are a couple of minor things I think could be improved. Setting up Bluetooth is easy. Also, it has options for optical in, along with an auxiliary input from a stereo cable. Upon the first setup, it will prompt you to download the free UE Boom App from the Apple or Android stores. The Bluetooth works with two devices at the same time and fades from one source to the other rather than a hard cutover if you switch Bluetooth audio sources which is a nice touch. The buttons on the top are big and recessed so if you lay your phone on top it won't cause accidental bumps. The volume up and down is touch-sensitive rather than being actual hard buttons which is a nice touch... and so far it does not seem to smudge or get fingerprints from using it which is nice! This speaker does offer a USB port for charging your phone while using it and has a special AC adapter to plug it into the wall, which brings me to the one thing I can say I'm disappointed with. I do not understand why designers chose to use a special AC adapter for charging instead of using USB-C power delivery. So, now it becomes another proprietary charger to keep track of which is very disappointing for being a premium speaker. The battery life is solid and will play for several hours on high volume with no issue. Now for the sound.. it is LOUD and can be turned up without distortion. The bass sounds nice and isn't overpowering yet it does thump loud. Location does help the sound so placement can and does impact how it sounds! The adaptive EQ (which is set through the App) can be turned on and off which then allows you to customize to your own prefered EQ setting. The highs sound accurate and loud and the only thing I can say would be that the mid-range doesn't sound as rich as I'd prefer at lower/mid-level volume but when you crank it up you can tell right away this speaker was designed with loudness in mind. Interestingly this speaker sounds amazing with movies so will be using it as audio for the TV in my room given it doesn't have a soundbar and when I need this it's ready to go on the go! The App is easy to use and does enable you to set the EQ and Adaptive EQ. Outside of the settings, I don't see myself using the app a lot but it does serve to update the firmware (when there are updates) and allows you to set alarms along with one-touch access to your playlists on Amazon Music, Apple Music/Library and Deezer. Overall, it is a nice speaker, and from what I've played on it so far I can say it delivers on being a loud portable speaker with great sounding bass for the size that it is. I was hoping the mids would sound a little richer than they do and the only thing I don't like is the special AC adapter that once you lose might be difficult to replace.

Tried to get help with the speaker to work correctly but did not get any response back to work it out. so i had to return it. Best Buy did honor the return so 5 stars for that

This item is ok not worth the price. My megaboom 3 is louder. Also when I sync it in party mode with my megaboom 3 the audio quality is bad and has a Hall effect.

Not as loud as you think it should be can't connect other UE speakers to it it did work for my outdoor movie it's just not as loud as I need it to be

I love this Bluetooth speaker! My favorite feature is being able to switch to a 2nd phone on the fly without any fiddling around trying to connect, the transition is seamless. Also, the sound quality and loudness is beyond anything else out there. The bass is phenomenal. Also, there is technology that automatically adjusts to its environment so no matter where you take it, it always sounds amazing. Performs well with any music genre - even extreme metal. People that come to your parties they will think you hired a DJ when they hear this beast blasting. Really big sound - no distortion. I love the controls too - very fluid volume adjusters. Battery lasts forever and the unit is waterproof. I would highly recommend this speaker if you want loud good quality sound that could potentially annoy your neighbors.

Decent sound though the bass can be a bit much than the specker can handle and it starts popping and rattling.

I love my Ultimate Ears. This speaker is amazing. The sound and clarity is perfect. I wish I had two of them.
