Customers are saying

Customers recognize the HYPERBOOM's exceptional sound quality, encompassing rich bass and impressive volume, even at high levels. Its long battery life and portability are also frequently praised, making it ideal for various settings. However, some find the speaker's weight and price to be drawbacks. The positive feedback on sound quality and battery life significantly outweighs concerns about weight and cost.

      Hello ManfredU,
I am sorry that you have not been pleased with your HyperBoom speaker, I would like to help. If you have not already done so, please download the Ultimate Ears “Boom” app. Firmware updates are supported through the “Boom” app. Please check that you have the latest Firmware updates, adjust the equalizer adjustments to your preferences. Please check the settings of the device itself as well as within the settings of the apps that you are playing audio through. HyperBoom features two Bluetooth channels, Optical input and 3.5mm input. Further assistance is available through the app, and I have also attached a link to the support guide for HyperBoom. If you need further assistance, please contact support.
      Best regards,

Having owned many bluetooth speakers in the past I was quite surprised by the quality of the Ultimate Ears Hyperboom party speaker. Upon removing it from the box you can tell how well its built just by the weight of the speaker. Pairing both my iPhone and Pixel 3a to the speaker was uneventful and quite easy. You are able to easily pair 2 phones to the speaker and toggle between them just by hitting button You don't need to download the app in order to simply play music however you truly do not unlock the true potential of the speaker without. The speaker also has a USB out so you don't have to worry about your phone dying. Inputs on the speaker include bluetooth as well as a optical in and AUX in. The optical in port worked well during testing with my samsung tv The speaker came with a 30% charge in it so I was eager to see what it could do. The bass this thing outputs is enough rattle a few windows. The adaptive equalizer settings and preset modes for gaming, bass boost and podcast do a great job maximizing what you are listening to. The battery life on this thing is amazing. You will easily get a full 24 hrs on the battery when it is fully charged. These days since the kids are home from school and most of their activities are cancelled they enjoyed having a dance party in the backyard with the speaker. The speaker is definitely splash resistant because it did get splashed quite a bit as the kids jumped into the pool. The speaker also integrates a carry handle into it so it is easy to carry around. The silicone feet on the bottom also prevent it from rattling on the table for bass heavy music and they also add to the speakers overall stability. Overall I would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone looking for a easily portable powerful bluetooth speaker

I had it for a week and had to return it. It wont get loud enough until i raise the volume at about 80% or more. Its bad because that means the battery life will be shorter. I had to buy another boombox 2 instead.

Hi Tinmuska, thank you for sharing your experience with the Hyperboom. I'm sorry that the volume did not get loud enough until the volume on the device was raised on the speaker to 80%. Its important to remember that your device and the speaker may not be synced and that you may have needed to turn the volume on the device up prior to turning the volume on the speaker up in order to get the audio quality you are looking for. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. Kristi from Logitech

Big BIG sound indoors or outdoors

I wanted the loudest, bassiest (not a word but work with me people) portable indoor/outdoor speaker, with minimum 8-hour battery life. Hyperboom checked all the boxes plus some. This is not a smart speaker and I am happy about it, my life doesn't need or want any additional electronics listening or capturing my image. The Hyperboom is a Bluetooth (not wifi) speaker with amazing tone, clarity, and thump at whatever volume or location you choose to enjoy music. I listen to jazz, rnb, reggae, hip hop and classical, this speaker plays it all masterfully. PROS: No distortion - Outstanding tone, clarity, and bottom at whatever volume you choose to listen too Sounds outstanding indoors and outdoors (can withstand water splashes and tumbles without fear) Great Battery life IT CAN GET LOUD!! Ability to pair with other UE Bluetooth speakers Multiple input options Multiple Bluetooth connections to “share” the party CONS: Heavy and awkwardly portable (unfortunately his isn’t the good old boombox that you can carry on a shoulder or with help of a guitar strap. It has a carry handle but the shape and weight keep it from being an enjoyable task) No WIFI (not upsetting to me, however, given the price it is a feature that should have been present) Software is the only way to adjust the equalizer and see battery status.

I have tested out a couple of other UE products and always have the same mixed feelings about the brand and the same feelings about the products... We as consumers identify with products and or brands by the quality, price, and or what they offer. UE has solidified themselves as a superior portable sound device manufacturer. But I feel like they don't understand their market entirely and this speaker is another prime example of this fact. The HyperBoom is EVERYTHING you would want in a pool side party speaker. It has an endless battery, Freaking incredible sound, and some bells and whistles to thrill the party goers. The speaker is very heavy (like maybe too heavy :( but the quality of the build and design is evident upon first touch. The app is very intuitive and super easy to use. This allows for quick set up and easy access during use for the owner and up to three more guests. The reception for the Bluetooth is quite wide and you should easily be able to move freely about without loss of connectivity (within reason of course). UE does not provide cables to do so but I did hook up my TV to it and you would not be wrong to utilize this monster as your standalone sound bar. As I was saying though it is everything you would want in a "Party" speaker. However, UE made a teen to young adult speaker at the quality and price range an "Adult" would look for and buy. My meaning is UE in my opinion should have made this speaker "a little less" to better appeal to who I think their target audience would actually be for this item. Because I think the price range puts it on more my price sheet and less what I would buy my daughter. My daughter would want all these features and not the price or bulkiness. Whereas at this price range and weighted design, I would want this speaker more as an office companion so I would not need all these Party features (a digital assistant would have been a nice addition either way). Long story short, UE had made another fantastic product (hence the 5 stars), but I think may have missed who they should be gearing their products towards. I don’t know though; I could be completely wrong, and the young adult market could be strong enough to support growth from this type of product???

Do your homework, theres plenty of youtube vids to watch or reviews that should be able to help you out on what your looking for. that said, this thing packs a punch. full sound and the low end really comes thru when placed infront of a wall. i got mine mainly for the backyard bbq events and this beast took the place of a megaboom. gonna get one in white for my computer. logitech has always put out some good sounding speakers. gotta love the volume touch keys on top for fast volume adjustments, especially if your playlist doesnt have that auto volume leveling. Haven't ran it from full charge to dead in one run so i really dont know how long it lasts, but ive usually run it 4-6 hrs at 50-75/80% volume and ive gotta a long weekend of jams out of it. i wouldnt worry about ranch unless your going a couple of houses down, cuz i went to neighbors across da street and we could still hear it.

After 3 hours of use at 80% volume the bass rattled and distorted horribly. UE customer support was of no help nor offered any recourse. Just unplug it. Just switch phones. Update the firmware etc. Was able to return it back to Best Buy. Will not buy again especially after dealing with Ultimate Ears customer support. Best Buy was great. The speaker and Ultimate Ears was not.

Trash. Have had it for a little over a month and a half. Used it on average about 3-4 hours a day. The manual power button doesn’t work. The app doesn’t connect. Customer service is severely lacking. Contacted them and was very specific about what was going on. No response. I’m returning this and not supporting the company again. Don’t buy this piece of garbage.

I’ve recently had a chance to spend some time with ultimate ears newest portable Bluetooth speaker. The first thing people will notice is how big and heavy this thing is. It being heavy is not necessarily a good thing but it’s heavy for a reason. It’s got a huge battery that UE claims can last 24 hours at medium sound levels. It’s also not just one speaker, it has a pair of subwoofers, a pair of regular speakers and a pair of tweeters as well as the battery all packed in. 13lbs total Everything about this speaker has a premium feel to it, Premium parts, premium plastics, premium sound, and a premium price. This thing feels like it was designed to be played at house parties and it is especially perfect for backyard parties as well. I turned it up to its highest level and it remains crystal clear, no distortion. In the back you will see a couple of input an output, it has an optical and audio jack input, and the USB where you can connect your phone to it to charge it off it’s battery. You can also download an app where you’re able to control the sound levels to the speaker manually. + premium parts + premium sound + Long lasting battery - heavy -pricey

Thank you for your feedback. It's greatly appreciated. Sorry for any inconvenience. Here's how you can get the best sound for any occasion. Choose from presets like Base Boost or Game/Cinema. Adjust the 5 band EQ manually to your heart’s content (on the app) and let the adaptive EQ maintain your perfect sound for all your spaces.

Hello, I am sorry to hear the hyperboom is not working for you. There are a couple things we can try first. First, it may need a hard reset. Simply hold down the two volume buttons, Bluetooth button and power button all at the same time. If this does not work, it does come with a two year warranty so we can get that replaced for you.
