Hello, I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the speakers. I have heard about this issue happening. There are two things to try. Delete the devices off you bluetooth on your phone and re-add them. Also, make sure the bluetooth light on the device is solid. If it is blinking, it means it will disconnect like that. Thank you for choosing the Ultimate Ears Hyperboom Portable Bluetooth Party Speaker. I apologize for the difficulties that you experienced. Hyperboom is supported with the Ultimate Ears "Boom" app for customization, software updates and product support. I have a Hyperboom that I personally enjoy very much. A defective battery has not been my experience with the Hyperboom. You should be able to use the speaker while it's plugged in. I recommend download the Ultimate Ears "Boom" app for customization and firmware updates. If the issue persists, I would recommend factory resetting the Hyperboom. I have attached a link to the support page for Hyperboom where you will find troubleshooting steps and further support. To factory reset Hyperboom: Press and hold the Power Button and Play / Pause Button together for 5 seconds, listen for the FACTORY RESET sonification (da-da...da-da - conga drum), the speaker will turn off, wait 5 seconds, then Press Power Button. Welcome sonification (Hi there… please download the ULTIMATE EARS BOOM app… “ sonification will play again at first power up if the FACTORY RESET is done correctly. Hi DaNabors, thank you for sharing your experience with the Hyperboom! I'm sorry that it suddenly stopped work on you. You can try and do a reset on the speaker by pressing the Power button and the Source button on the top of the speaker at the same time for 8-10 seconds. I'm sorry to hear you aren't completely satisfied with the volume level of the Hyperboom. This is surprising though, as the Hyperboom is our loudest speaker in the Ultimate Ears family! I believe this could be a software related issue which is solved by resetting the speaker. You can do this by holding the power and play/pause buttons for 5 seconds till you hear a chime, then you'll need to pair your device to your Hyperboom again. Also, make sure to download the Ultimate Ears mobile app to adjust volume and EQ as well! If you haven't already, please make sure the speaker is updated to the latest firmware via the Ultimate Ears Boom app for the best user experience. Also when playing music on it, please make sure the volume is turned up on the streaming device (phone, tablet, computer). Hope that helps.

Hi Tinmuska, thank you for sharing your experience with the Hyperboom. I'm sorry that the volume did not get loud enough until the volume on the device was raised on the speaker to 80%. Its important to remember that your device and the speaker may not be synced and that you may have needed to turn the volume on the device up prior to turning the volume on the speaker up in order to get the audio quality you are looking for. Drivers: 2 x 114 mm woofers + 2 x 25 mm tweeters + 2 x 89 mm x 190 mm passive radiators leading to extreme immersive sound. You can use your Ultimate Ears app to enhance the sound output with your 5-Band equalizer, along with 3 presets that serve to different sound experiences, Bass Boost, Game/Cinema and Podcast. Also within your app is where you can pair with ONE other Hyperboom OR multiple Megaboom's or Boom speakers. To connect please ensure the speakers you wish to party up with are powered on, drag and drop the speakers into the same space as your Hyperboom on the party up portion of the app. if you are experiencing issues, you can reset your speakers you wish to party up with by pressing volume down ( | ) button and holding the power button at the same time, you will hear a drum sound, the added speaker will turn off, power it back on and drag and drop within your party up portion of the app. I hope this information was helpful.
