I have not really had any portable speakers in the past that are worth mentioning, so getting this was a big upgrade for me. Before I purchased this speaker it was pretty much just me listening to things through my phone speakers. Which worked for me fine for a while but I enjoy music and have people over for get-togethers. So having a speaker for being able to take outside and be able to hear was important to me. This speaker is surprising to me with the amount of sound it puts out. The sound quality is very good. I also like how you can tweak the sound settings through the app, it is a cool feature to have. As far as this speaker is waterproof, I haven't tested that part out yet. I do use it outside frequently so it is nice to not have to worry about potentially getting water on it. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable speaker in this price range. I looked at some other speakers but was impressed by the battery life on this one. It is pretty true to the battery life shown on the specs.

Very nice unit. Loud enough for the back yard or anywhere. It can sync with multiple units to make it a super experience. Not too heavy, water proof but I'm not gonna test that. Battery last for. Long time.

I considered other larger speakers for the sound, but the mega boom matched the sound quality and volume of similar priced speakers. The diameter of this speaker makes it easy to hold, it hasn't slipped out of my hand once when picking it up, and it fits inside my till box quite well for storage at work. The battery is rated at 20 hours, but If I play it at Max volume, it will only last about 6 hours. Listening at 60% to 80% volume can easily get me 12 hours of play time, at which point I remember to plug it in to charge while listening. Overall I've been quite happy with this purchase, and my co workers are impressed by the sound quality. It produces way more bass than a speaker this size should be capable of.

Was looking for a Bluetooth speaker to use out on my pier during the summer. However when you have 2 kids, their friends and a dog all running around I was concerned about the speaker getting knocked into the river. Many Bluetooth speakers are Water Proof ( or at least water resistant) but the UE MEGABOOM 3 is on of the few that float. So no if t takes the plunge, I send the offender in after it :-) Battery Life is long enough that you will either be a waterlogged raisin or sun burned before it dies, so long enough for my use. Volume is good, bass is sufficient for normal (background level) music use, and 360 sound makes placement less critical while still offering good coverage. For the Price its a solid buy.

I debated between this and the Boom 3, but like this sound and size. Super easy pairing and ability to control volume and queue from phone. Round speaker is great for sharing in a mobile group. Works great on my kayak :) I have yet to connect more than one.

I absolutely love my MegaBoom 3!! The sound quality rivals some of the more expensive brands. I keep this one in my Home office And I even loved it so much that I bought a smaller one for my office on my job. The sound quality is amazing and the base when playing different genres of music is incredible!

Beats the jbl system, I'm using it right now. Sounds great, plenty loud, use it in the shower, literally, it's completely waterproof. It even floats, but 200 is steep. I would say 150 max but i paid 99$ and i wouldn't see getting rid of it anytime soon. Great battery life as well, only needing a charge every 2 days or so and i use it all day, workouts, drives, studying, shower, cleaning. It's a great well built speaker and the 360 sound really will blow your mind.

Excellent sound for the price. Very solid bass and sounds good when cranked up loud. Bluetooth connection is relatively easy and strong. It does require an app on your phone to utilize most features & EQ, but that enables a sleek and minimal design. Being able to link up with another Boom or Megaboom speaker for stereo sound is a great plus that you'd expect from big-ticket folks like SONOS

While the looks can be deceiving, being that it is a small speaker, this little guy is amazing! I have had a Bose and Marshall speaker back in the day and figured I wanted to get an upgraded speaker. This tiny little speaker was indeed impressive. While I based my decision to purchase off of reviews here and YouTube reviews, I bought it with skepticism thinking it would be mediocre. I figured, let me try this out fresh out of the box in my car in which I was not too impressed with it. I tried it in my bedroom and that’s where the magic happened. The sound quality definitely delivered as the music was bouncing off the walls. It doesn’t stop there, but you can connect these to other Ultimate Ears products! In finding this out, I really want to purchase the Hyperboom to go with this little guy (if you haven’t already demod this, go to a Best Buy and try this sucker out) At the end of the day, I believe this little one is worth it because you can take it wherever you want, super portable and it is also dust and water proof! Highly worth the value. I would also recommend the Hyperboom.

Lasting battery. I sometimes falling asleep with the speaker on and the battery barely moves. The sound is amazing! I don’t need to turn the volume all the way up either. It’s s turdy on different surfaces and the app makes it easy to use when I’m in another room. Overall, a great speaker. I love it!

Compared this Megaboom 3 to the similarly priced Bose soundlink revolve, revolve +, JBL, Sony, and a few other brands. The Bose and the UE Megaboom 3 were equivalent in clarity and by far better than everything else. The MB3 dominated everything at this price point for bass. This little thing packs a decent bump for the size. The Bose Revolve was muddied and unsatisfying. It took the significantly more expensive revolve + to get to the same base quality. The JBL has a decent and clean bump for the bass but the overall sound quality is lacking. The app works well, nothing special about it but a nice remote turn on feature that works without any problem. It has some preset equalizer settings but I haven’t played with those too much. Just picked the one that worked best for my garage and haven’t touched it since. So far, I have been using this in my garage for the weekends and can go the whole weekend on a single charge. I would roughly estimate my usage at about 14-15 hours at medium to high volume. Not maxed out though. If I max out volume, I can hear it in my neighbors garage 2 houses down and across the street. So battery life seems great as far as I am concerned.

I love UE Booms and my previous one lasted for almost 8 years before my battery stopped charging. I was really excited for this one being the upgraded version both in sound quality and battery life. While this one is good i figured i would be blown away by the difference and i just wasnt. It seems like they focused more on how water resistant it was and how you can throw it in a pool than user friendlyness. The new design has some features that bug me. You have to have the app in order to pair/use. There are two buttons on the top. The small one you use all the time is the power button, the big "magic button" one pairs when pushed and held to turn on...seems like they could have done this a different way. When you turn on the boom it makes the "on" schwoop/ pair noise at what sounds like full volume and cant be adjusted. All that said, for the money i dont think you can get a better unit. The only thing is this just left me wishing that my old speaker wasnt broken instead of being happy i upgraded to this one.

This speaker blew me away! I’ve done extensive research on portable speakers and hands down this was the best one. The ability to link this with other UE speakers and that this is one of very few Bluetooth speakers that outputs stereo sound was a major selling point It sounds great both indoors in small and large rooms. The speaker fills the room with sound. Outdoors, it excels in sound quality and loudness. Would highly recommend over any other similar size speaker.

Scale of 1 - 10 I score this speaker: 7 - 8 Sound - 8 Can’t go higher than half volume. A lot of bass even with bass reduced using the app. I thought 360 degree speakers/ sound would be great. Great sound but not really good for a big open area. Maybe if you had more than one of these speakers and connected them all together. Battery life - 6 The higher the volume the faster the battery dies. I had a JBL charge 3 and it’d go a full 10 hour shift at work almost full volume. JBL managed to balance the audio with superior battery life. Design - 8 It’s narrow can easily fit in a bag. Buttons are big. Volume up + Volume down - Pause and power are not labeled. Easy to figure it out tho. Connectivity - 9 Very easy to connect to your mobile device. Have to download the app to change the equalizer and view the battery percentage. Charging - 7 The charging port is on the back at the bottom and the light that lets you know it’s charging is a little light under the USB port. Should been one of the buttons on top that light up. I bought this on sale to take to work and gonna leave it at home because it just doesn’t produce the sound I need for my work. I bought this and got the 2 year warranty and spent $200ish all together. I use it at home and it’ll fill a room with good sound, but not good for big area. More browsing around should’ve been done before purchase. Recommend use is for maybe jamming at home or music when you’re cleaning your place or working in garage. Some where that is a smaller space.

I love this speaker. It’s high quality enough to use at home in lieu of larger, expensive speakers. It’s also convenient to take on car camping trips and picnics because of its’ long battery life and resilience to water/elements. Super easy to use. Highly recommend.

UE's Megaboom 3 is, in my opinion, one of the best portable bluetooth speakers for the money. I am impressed with the sound quality and bass output for its size, super long battery life, and the app that’s available for download for both Android and iOS devices. This speaker is built like a tank! Strong and durable shell with waterproof protection(waterproofing has limitations and tolerance factors) means I can listen to it almost everywhere I go. I do plan on the purchase of at least one, or maybe more, Megaboom 3's because you can link up to 150 of them together for an immersive sound experience.

This speaker is the best. Has a loop in it to easily attach something to hang it or tie it up. Great that is floats in the pool and easy to wash when it is dirty. Sound quality is perfect and the battery will last all day.

Awesome speaker! My second one. Link together for a great time of music. Long lasting battery life with outside durability.
