I love this speaker because the battery is amazing and I don’t have to worry about it getting wet or dirty, very reliable and sturdy speaker, this is my 6th one that I buy because I have them all paired up and the sound quality is amazing

This is speaker is all the hype. Incredible sound, great bluetooth range, best battery life of all speakers I did reviews on. Best part is that it's water proof. Not water resistant like every other brand. So basically this speaker can be taken anywhere without having to worry about anything!! Great job UE!!

This product provides exceptional sound at a very reasonable price. So far we have used it on our boat (as it is waterproof) in the car and in our house. Having 2 for a large room would work well acoustically if you had several guests for a party, but one presents a great sound.

This is an excellent speaker for the clearance price of just over $100. I am very happy with the quality, sound and heavy bass volume. It is a very powerful and durable bluetooth speaker.

I use this speaker for all my music purposes; from working out, to adding a joyful prescence in my classroom, to even bringing music everywhere I go. The sound quality is terrific and the battery life is outstanding. Waterproof so great at the pool and an awesome assessory anywhere I go. A must buy!

I initially bought this speaker for two reasons: to hook up to my Switch via aux cable for when I dock it and to be able to play music in the background while I'm working on homework, programming, etc. Two friends of mine suggested that I get an Ultimate Ears speaker, so I bought this one when I saw it on sale. It arrives well packaged and comes with the speaker, and a charging cable, you will have to buy an aux cable on your own. Pairing the speaker on my phone was quick and simple and using the aux port only required me to plug it in. There is an app for this speaker, which I downloaded but never used. One of my friends that already owns a UE Megaboom told me that using the app had caused his speaker to update its firmware and that it stopped working as well afterwards. In other words, just use it like you would any other Bluetooth speaker and you won't have any problems. One of the big selling points of the speaker was it's ruggedness and durability. I personally use the speaker indoors, so I can't really say if either of those two aspects are very reliable. I haven't yet stuffed the speaker into the bathtub to check the waterproof feature, but it has fallen off my desk once or twice when I tripped over the aux cable and it survived the 3-4 foot fall. The battery also lasts very long. I usually have it on for a good 5-6 hours per day and it lasts me several days. I don't know how the battery degrades over time as I have only had the speaker for 1-2 months. The speaker also has a neat feature that allows it to turns itself off after fifteen minutes without audio input. Considering I sometimes forget to turn it off when I leave the room, this is very good for preserving battery life. For me, one of the big selling points was audio quality. I often listen to music through headphones and my integrated speakers aren't that great. Even at high volumes, the UE Megaboom keeps good overall audio quality and its very pleasant to listen to. I'm not an audiophile, but one of my friends that recommended this speaker is. This obviously isn't going to give you studio accuracy, but its very nice to listen to, something that almost everyone who I've asked about the sound quality has told me. In order connect this speaker to my switch and my desktop computer, I needed the ability to plug in an aux cord. This works flawlessly. I can connect both via aux and via Bluetooth at the same time. Bluetooth does override aux, but it switches back and forth between the two depending on which source is currently transmitting audio. This speaker is also really easy for my friends to use. I personally use an android phone, one of my friends has connected to it with her iPhone, and my other friend regularly pairs with the speaker using his MacBook. Overall, this speaker is very user friendly and works quite well. Though I got the speaker for $100, because of a sale, I would definitely consider the speaker worth the $250 price tag it usually holds.

This is a great sounding speaker and for the price it was a real bargain. Having an older model boom this speaker pairs up with it perfectly and as a stand alone speaker fills the area with plenty of clear sound and extra bass.

I believe that the sound quality of the UE megaboom is significantly better than any other music device I have had. I have caught myself just getting lost in the sounds that are coming out to the equipment. The battery is insane how long it lasts. I have never had a battery for anything last as long as this does. I listen to it literally every night for over a week before needing to charge it. The distance you can be away from it before loosing connectivity via bluetooth is also impressive. I have never lost connection while in my house. My wife and I love it!

I was using an inexpensive iHome system in my basement workshop, and when the RCA connector gave out I went to Best Buy to get the same Bose blue-tooth speaker I had bought for my son. While I was browsing other choices, one of the associates showed me the UE Boom, which he owned and preferred over the Bose. I was impressed to say the least. Then we both listened to the Megaboom, which they had just gotten in. I was even more impressed (and so was he), and and our preview even attracted another associate over to join us. I am more that satisfied with this speaker. It's form and function are exceptional. In particular it's features are simple, exactly what is needed, and work flawlessly. For a blue-tooth speaker, the sound is well beyond what I had expected. It is also a quality build, both attractive and solid. I use it in a dusty workshop and it cleans up nicely. In my opinion, this speaker is in all respects heads above the others I previewed in this price range. I am very happy with this purchase!

I'm an audiophile... or, at least I'd like to think that I am. I thought I'd be sacrificing good audio quality for functionality (i.e., waterproof, battery life, Bluetooth). In "real life" use, I was pleasantly surprised by the audio quality. Need quality in a "controlled" audio environment??? Then the B&W T7 is worth the extra $50. But for outside at the beach... on the boat... at a Jeep rally, then the Mega-Boom is spot on. Do not expect the best quality at the highest volume settings... and, I found using the equalizer does help with certain music genre. But, I recommend highly... and plan to purchase a second one.

The sound on the megaboom is AMAZING and fills any room you put it in. The waterproof ability is awesome for having it by the pool and not having to worry about it falling in. The battery life can't be beat. It really is the best portable bluetooth speaker you can buy.

I've had my Mega Boom for several weeks now and I use it all the time. Rather I'm outside BBQing or doing yardwork it works great. the bluetooth range is really good so i can also keep my phone with me as I walk around. I love that I can take this with my rafting later in the year and not have to worry about it getting wet either. Battery life has been great so far. I was charging it every day at first but it really wasn't needed 20 hours of batter life so now i just wait until it's i'm done using it and it's under 30% charge remaining. One thing I was trying to do the other day was play with the equalizer through the Mega boom software and couldn't get it to work. I didn't mess with it to much so i'm sure i'll be able to find it somewhere but the app itself had no info and when I followed to link for support and typed in equalizer nothing cam up. I'll have to look into it further but that the only issue so far.

This Bluetooth speaker is an excellent value for the money. It has great sound, rich deep bass and great battery life per charge.The fact that it's waterproof, not water resistance makes it a great companion for your outdoor excursions.

The battery life is excellent! Lasts well over 4 hours at full volume. Longer at lower volumes (which it is still pretty loud at). You can download an app to connect two Booms. Very rugged and weatherproof. Fits in my side pockets of my backpack.

excellent speaker. Very durable, the kind of speaker you can take on trips/hiking. sound quality is also very good. Price was hard to beat.

Bought it for my 13 year old son. He carries it around in his bag when he hangs out with his friends. Charge lasts a really long time. Great sound. It even got wet a few times next to the pool. Great speaker

I have mega and regular. Gave regular size to my mom and she loves it and bought this mega.. big fan of battery life , sound quality and durability at backyard, patio and when travelling.

Awesome battery life,very sturdy and rugged to withstand drops and heavy use, waterproof, loud sound without distortion, better than the mega last, I own three and connect all three for awesome stereo sound

Very happy with this speaker after using it for a few weeks. Easy connects to my laptop and phone, sound quality is excellent, and battery life is amazing. I tested it in some the shower the fact that it's waterproof is a definite plus. Highly recommend
