I could not be more pleased with the Unagi. It is absolutely perfect for my needs. I have put over 70 miles on it and here is my take on it. Design: I really like the sleek design. It both stands out from other scooters, but also fits in generally compared to bulky, thick scooters. The controls are well chosen and laid out. Once in a while, on a bumpy road, my thumb will change the odometer setting inadvertently, but it's not a big deal. The controls are well made, the speed dial and brake dial work smoothly, and the whole thing is high quality. The light weight and folding stem are great, as I often pick it up and put it in my trunk, take it into a restaurant, or to my office. The finish is excellent and the whole thing exudes quality. Ride: For a scooter without suspension, the ride is really good. I guess it's the perforated wheels. I ride in Detroit where the roads are awful, and the Unagi is always composed and under control, but you have to concentrate because if you do hit a big hole/bump, it can throw you. My usual 30 min. ride is always comfortable. I also have had to ride on snowy roads, and in 20 degree Fahrenheit weather. You have to bundle up, but the Unagi handles the cold weather fine. The speed is good also, and I like the 3 options. I mostly ride in level 2 (13 mph), just because it's city riding and I want to be careful of potholes and motorists. Although there are no hills here, I usually ride with both motors on just to wear them out evenly, but pickup is noticeably quicker and you need to be careful when starting from a stop -- it can fly instantly. Other: I haven't tested the range of the battery, but I would not feel comfortable taking it over 10 miles. And for top speed, I was able to hit 18 mph (I weigh 155), but not 19. Overall, this is a terrific machine. I even bought a second one (directly from Unagi on sale because I wanted the green color). Get it.

I got it. I liked it and then discovered that its not durable. A couple of accidents and the odometer reads 6666 miles. The battery lasts about 6-10 minutes before shutting off with 50% battery showing. Speed of 20 mph good. Light weight of 25-30lbs good. Everything else doesnt make the cut. Many people have had these experiences and Unagi should do something about it

I bought this scooter in December 2022 when it was on sale. I paid $600 after taxes and it was a good deal for what is. I am a heavy person and the scooter can carry me on a small slope.

The Unagi Model One is a very sleek and cool piece of kit. The design gets a lot of attention, the paint, fit and finish, dashboard are all top notch. I've never ridden an e-scooter - so I took it out to a parking lot and started in beginner mode 1. It's easy enough to ride, and the brakes seem really good to me. Today, I went into mode 2/dual battery mode on the street and was like "whoa"...lol... so if you're a noob, get your bearings in beginner mode before you hit the big time in city traffic. This scoot has tiny wheels - which is good and sometimes not so good - it can get a little twitchy if you're going a little fast and need to come to any kind of emergency stop. But those small wheels also make is a joy to handle, and low speed maneuvers are super simple, making tight turns are a breeze on the Unagi Model One. Ride quality: The parking lot I practiced on was pretty smooth so it was a very joyful experience. But add in any other business, like even a crack in the sidewalk - you're gonna feel it with those solid tires. It's not the cushiest ride out there, but I didn't want inflatables because I just don't want to deal with flat tires and the drama that goes with. The only other thing I would say to keep in mind is the range and top speed. Check the specs and make sure The Model One will work for you. For me, I just want to toodle around Brooklyn a little, I'm not looking to be on it for hours or win any races. I just want to get in the wind a little and look good doing it. So if you like refined design and build quality and, um, beautiful paint - The Unagi Model One will not disappoint; and the Cosmic Blue color-way is out of this world. Also- the foldable design is so intuitive, just fold down til you hear the click - and you're good to carry. It has it's downsides, but if you go into it knowing what they are - the Unagi Model One is a refined piece of transport - and hard not to adore. Shout out to BestBuy - they got the scoot to me 2 weeks earlier than anticipated. Loves me some BestBuy!

Not able to use app it has a bluetooth symbol that doesnt work rubber tires are always rough but its very quiet hitting bumps not able to lock it its just turn on and go then they got the nerve to come out with a new 1 with all the capabilites that this 1 should have and they gonna charge 200 dollars more for nothing its nice but the price it should have a locking mechanism that you can feel safe leaving outside anyone can just hop on turn it on and there goes 1100 dollars down the drain

I am an employee of Best Buy and had the opportunity to test out the Unagi Model One and it was the smoothest, most quality scooter I have driven. I have seen many references to it being the Tesla or Apple of electric scooters and after riding the scooter I understand. The pictures don't do it justice, everything is very well well put together. Other scooters I have driven can feel a little flimsy and that the hinges/screws aren't tight, but this scooter is solid! I was also surprised to see the scooter had electronic brakes. Some scooters may advertise higher speeds, but I got to 17MPH no problem and notice minimal decrease in speed when going up a pretty steep hill in my neighborhood. The built in front and tail lights were a pleasant surprise and made me feel safe when driving home at dusk. The only part of this scooter that I didn't like was that the "horn" is located pretty close to the accelerator, so I found that I would often accidentally hit the horn when trying to accelerate. This wasn't a huge issue, but did surprise me a couple of times. Overall, I thought this lived up to the "Tesla or Apple of Scooters" reputation.

Im a bit too heavy for this scooter to get close to the 15.5 mile range (I get 5-6 miles max) but I now know that the next $1k+ scooter I get will need dual motor and suspension. This little guy flies up hills in dual motor mode and the acceleration is fun, but is rough to ride on bumpy/rough roads (most roads in NY). I unlocked the speed on mine so it can go to 20 mph and if you can get on a smooth road. It feels amazing and rides amazing.

Bought two for 1200$ great deal feels like a Tesla scooter

This is a really solid scooter -physically speaking. Its very sturdy, specifically the deck. Im a heavier rider (250 LBS) so I was a bit nervous about the performance. It does slightly impact the top speed by a mph or 2, but it is still really fast! Its a sleek looking scooter that I get a ton of compliments on.

Light weight, well made. Easy to put together with the included small tools. Enough power and regenerative breaking to handle hilly streets. The no-air wheels are good only on well paved surfaces though.

We purchased this scooter for our 10 year old and this is his first electric scooter. The scooter arrived well packaged in both its box and a cardboard box for extra protection. Unboxing and assembly were super easy and the scooter was ready to go in minutes. It did need charged before riding, but that's to be expected. Overall, the scooter is light and well constructed. The acceleration is smooth and the different rides modes really help a beginner gain confidence. As most others have pointed out, the solid tires are not for everyone. We chose them because we wanted as little maintenance as possible for a kids scooter that was not going to be ridden everyday. But the ride quality suffers quite a bit if going over uneven terrain. Our 10 year old does not seem to mind this but he does feel the bumps. We are happy with the purchase at the price point and I would recommend this for younger riders and beginners.

I just got this brand new Unagi e500 Model one Matte Black, and the unboxing experience was like you got it from apple it was very professional, the build quality on this thing is super strong it has same material from Elon musk rockets, (no it actually does) and the acceleration is quick! Braking too is insanely good really good that I almost flipped forward, the tires seems very stiff however I’m not sure because it just really cold outside but it solid tires so you don’t need to worry about filling it with air. With one motor it a little slow but with dual motor mode you just kick off insanely fast

Beautiful industrial design. Garbage reliability. Unagi really screwed up on this one. I fully charged my new scooter the night before and then it stopped working on the FIRST ride after only 2 miles. Charge indicator dropped from full battery to no battery and then the scooter wouldn't turn back on. Left me stranded. Found several YouTube videos of people having similar problems with the battery and battery circuitry within the first few weeks of ownership. Unagi went cheap on the battery and it shows. Getting stranded on the first ride is a non-starter for me.

Awesome light little scooter. Sure it's pricey but I have the segway one too and I love this one more. It's smaller, lighter, faster, and goes much further. Worth the extra doll hairs!

You cannot hear-the two motors and you get a speed if up to 21mph Range could be betterbut its quality build ABS BRAKES IS THE BEST For THE MONEY.

Great speed and feel. Battery only lasts for 4-5 miles on speed 3 and 200 lbs adult.

Here's a real talk review. Facts it's really fun to ride it. Although it doesn't really go fast even you break the speeding limit. I only have it since april and I feel like it becoming pretty slow. Which is so sad overall it was okay

I am an employee of Best Buy and had the opportunity to use the Unagi Model One Foldable Electric Scooter. I enjoy everything about this scooter. Starting with setup our of the box. In a matter of minutes I had the scooter set up and ready to ride. All parts needed for assembly are included so you do not have to worry about not having the correct tool at home to complete the little assembly that is required. The scooters handling and response is a big strength so I feel comfortable and safe while riding. This scooter has 3 different ride settings which makes it functional and safe for all levels of riders. The LED screen is a great feature, it captures battery life, speed, distance traveled and the ride level you have it set to. I really like the pickup this scooter has, it gets you up to speed in a hurry and maintains the speed very well while going up hills. I have yet to completely drain the battery so battery life is also strength of this scooter. When you are not riding the scooter it easily folds down and is easy to carry store in small places. Overall, this is a great product and I highly recommend it.
