Graphics were excellent, game play was a bit slow and traveling throughout the game was linear and often times tedious.

Uncharted 4 is an improvement in the series in terms of graphics, but the story is a bit more boring than the previous 3 games.

So, Uncharted 4 is fantastic, best looking game on a console for sure but, game play is still kind of boring and generic, stealth is kind of a joke too but, the story is enough to keep you moving through it.

Been a big fan of Uncharted over the years, but this one just kind of bored me. There's far more climbing in this one that previous games and it gets old pretty fast. Combat has never been particularly good in this series and that doesn't change this time around, not that there's a whole lot of it. Good thing it's pretty with a good story by video game standards.

I know this game received amazing reviews but I often found myself getting a little bored and ready for the game to be over. I honestly enjoyed games 1-3 better. There just seemed to be waaayyy too much talking and very long cut scenes in this one that just left me bored. I just wanted to get into the action. That's just my personal opinion though. It was fun when you were actually playing but it was nothing much different than the previous games. I would recommend it to a friend but still give them the heads up about the long cut scenes and continuous talking.

I found myself incredibly bored in this game. There was long stretches of nothing but platforming through repetitive environments that are too open world for their own good and with your unlikable brother character that is forced down your throat at every turn. Usually I'm excited to find out the mystery of the treasure he's seeking and see what incredible city they've devised but the city was boring. You run into it close to the half way point and spend WAY too much time there. There is no mystery, pirates got greedy and killed each other and even the city was spoiled in one of the earlier trailers, only it was soo generic looking that most people didn't realize it was libertalia. The epilogue is even more cornball than Harry Potters. Honestly, sold this game a week after I got it as I just don't picture myself ever wanting to play this again.

Uncharted 4 provides exactly what fans of the series were looking for. The absolutely incredible design, story, cutscenes, gameplay. People who are not that into the series may find the gameplay monotonous or the game a bit too long. Those of us who love the series are a little sad to see it end but it ended perfectly.

Look I know this game looks pretty and the animations are straight out of a motion picture film and it's a nearly 10 year old franchise but geez louise I feel this game is super-frustrating and kinda boring. The game is pretty much designed (and this pretty much applies to all 4) in a way where you start out with a cutscene heavy back story, walk around for a couple of chapters, climb some walls, solve a puzzle, shoot some dudes, cutscene, climb some walls again, solve a puzzle, shoot some dudes, cutscene, etc. The formula has not changed throughout the entire franchise. The dudes you are shooting at all look the same (exactly same 3-4 enemy character models for 10+ hrs!) You can see the twists coming a million miles away usually. Drake always wins no matter how many close calls to death or abuse he experiences. And those checkpoints are just ridiculously stupid. They make finding the treasures such a pain in the rear and why they increased the number of treasure in 4 is beyond me (101 or 102 was just fine!)! Anyway, it's definitely a beautiful game and the games play like a playable movie with some beautiful aspects in the story. I just got personally bored and frustrated by the time Uncharted 3 and 4 came out-2 was and is still the best in my opinion! Worthy to try if you like but also worthy to forget in my opinion. I would personally like to see more Last of Us or new franchises coming out of ND because I do respect their talent!

I've played several (not all) Uncharted games and a friend and I decided to play this together. Fluid movement, beautiful graphics, and great action - it's like playing a movie! Critiques: Multiplayer is frustratingly difficult for those of us not use to auto-lock and campaign story can get a little boring Solid 9/10

If you love the Uncharted series, this game doesn't disappoint. Uncharted 4 is a fantastic franchise ender that pays a homage to the games before it. They put more plot into this game that the others because they wanted this game to be a fitting end, and it was. In doing so though the game became more of a movie and less of a game, resulting in lackluster gameplay with strange, yet convenient solutions to the not so difficult puzzles. All in all, I would definitely recommend.

Uncharted for pushes graphics to the limit. All I can say is, it's another amazing game from Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog has officially made themselves one of the top 3 best game developers out there, with their previous release, "The Last of Us", and they continue to prove how special they are with "Uncharted 4 A Thief's End." Uncharted 4 is the final game in the Uncharted series and it's the perfect way to end the series. Just be warned, that the game does start of very slow from chapter 3-9, but all the chapters 10-22 completely make up for it. The reason for the slow start is because Naughty Dog felt the need to show what main character Nathan Drake's life is like after being a retired thief/treasure hunter for 3 years. I don't mind them showing what his life is like, but it just felt overlong. While chapter 5 was pretty good, 6-9 feel pretty boring, due to the dull environment around you. But once you get to Madagascar in chapter 10, that's when the real adventure starts. There is a lot of driving around in chapter 10, but Naughty Dog made the perfect driving mechanics and due to how amazing Madagascar looks, and how amazing the graphics are, it's like an interactive movie. You don't mind driving around for so long because seeing the the graphics, the environment and not only that but driving in the mud, just makes it a great experience. Everything boring about the previous chapter and the slow start will be forgotten because of how amazing the game is from chapter 10-22. And every time you end up shooting a wall and driving through some things, it always ends up falling down. Everything is destructible which adds to the fun. As with all previous games from Naughty Dog, voice acting is amazing, character animations are perfect, and honestly if it wasn't for the slow start, the game could've been perfect. There is also multiplayer in the game. Multiplayer is really fun, but it can get boring after awhile, due to the fact that there aren't many battle stages in the game. The fun comes from the variety of ways you can approach it such as climbing, swimming and using the rope to swing across places, and also purchasables like mystical items, you can call juggernauts to help you out, you can call snipers for help and all that makes it more fun. But the game really is lacking battle stages. There will be more stages in the future as well as co-op, but for now, it doesn't have that. It's obvious that the game's strength is the single player, and it shows, because it has a great story, great character, amazing graphics and art design, and it's the perfect send off for the franchise and another home run from developer Naughty Dog. My final rating for "Uncharted 4 A Thief's End" is a 9/10. If it wasn't for the slow start, the game would easily be a 10/10, but there is no doubt that this is a must buy if you have a PS4.

The gun fights are fun and challenging. Cinematics are too often and too long. The climbing, which is the majority of he game consists of hitting the X button and a direction. It's repetitive, boring, and unchallenging. Can easily be done with your eyes closed or focused on something else. Just keep hitting X and a random direction and your done. Graphics are great.

Just finish "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" and I'm so disappointed. I always loved the Uncharted series, but this one is simply pathetic! Seems like they made the video game in a rush... it has some many "cinematic" scenes is ridiculous! At first I started to watched them, but they are so many and so often I have to keep skipping them. One Chapter (I think it was No14) is about 75% a cinematic. Also, you do to much "wondering around" in detriment of action modes like it's previous versions. Unfortunately lacks of excitement making it extreme bored at times and I experience video graphic glitches a few times. Overall is a "OK" game (I will rate it 5 out of 10) but if you are planning in buy it, wait a few months when the price could be around $14.99...

Great story, mabey too much climbing.....gets tedious at times. All said top notch game. Multiplayer has 3 modes and 4 maps which get worn out quick. Pleanty of visial upgrades to characters with in game money. Weapons and speacial items can be bought in game also grinding away points. Impatient people can use real money to have it all visual upgrades day one. New free dlc is promised ,we will see. Still a fun romp through familliar people and places.

To start off with the positives, this game is absolutely beautiful. The locations and levels are usually nothing short of breathtaking. The character models are realistic and yet very game appropriate. The voice acting is top of the line and the story is pretty engaging, probably one of the better ones in the series considering the character development and interactions as well as the way the story unfolds. These are the elements that lend me to giving this game a high score. What almost made me make it 3/5, and would probably be lower if not for the previously mentioned attributes, is the gameplay. The combat and use of stealth is actually pretty good, but the core gameplay is pretty poor. The game, at least for the first 10 chapters, involves essentially running down linear paths and the utilization of a pretty poor climbing mechanic that is used far, far too often. The confrontations have been designed pretty well when they occur, but in between them it's running down a path, climb up a wall, jump side to side on the wall, swing with scripted set-up, and just, overall, be unchallenging and kind of boring. From a gameplay perspective, the only fun part is the combat since it uses some stealth and decent gun controls. I would recommend the game, but it's not without its faults.

    1. If you've never liked the Uncharted games and the way that they focus on scripted sequences and mostly linear gameplay, the fourth and supposedly final game isn't going to change your mind. 2. If you're new to the series I do suggest playing 1-3 first but this one does a decent enough job of setting the stage to the point that new players won't be lost, but they won't get the same emotional highs and lows that veterans of the series would. That being said, I found Uncharted 4 to be a fantastic game IF you know what you're getting into. The story saw a lot more focus and love and care this time around, the music is understated but great, and the visuals are some of the best on the PS4. The characters are more well-rounded and there's really excellent dialogue throughout. The gameplay is 50% climbing and world traversal, 20% walking and sightseeing and 30% combat. The gunplay feels tight and responsive, though some enemies towards the end are hilariously overpowered. The climbing is fun mostly thanks to the addition of the grappling hook, but in my opinion a lot of the climbing sections were incredibly dull. If it wasn't for the back and forth dialogue between characters I would have been totally bored. The visuals are excellent but aren't enough to make the climbing less of a chore. The game took me about 10 hours, and that's with some optional exploration during the longer chapters. There's multiplayer here but it feels like a lazy afterthought and doesn't have much longevity IMO. If you're a fan of the series I think you'll love this, if you're new to it then I still think it's worth checking out though it'sn't for everyone. I've only played through it once and I think I've a couple of re-plays left in me but I know that won't be the case for everyone. Overall it's an entertaining ride with an emotional story and exciting gameplay except during some climbing and puzzle sections. I definitely recommend it.

My daughter and I have played all the Uncharted games. Although the first three games were amazing, they felt tedious in certain parts of gameplay. The, seemingly, endless amount of bad guys was overkill and eventually felt like work and not fun. This is the first Uncharted game to strike a perfect balance between how many bad guys and how hard it's to take them down. The cover system can be frustrating at times because there seems to be a slight lag between pressing the button and Nate actually taking cover. Taking cover is often inaccurate. For example, I would try to take cover behind a crate and end up on the side of the crate exposed. Now the enemy has spotted me and I'm getting shot at. Still, overall, the mechanics feel good and responsive enough for an action/adventure. The game feels like a real adventure. The story is easy to follow and keeps you wanting to know what's coming up next. They also don't force you to re-watch the cut-scenes like some other studios *cough* *ubisoft* *cough*. The immersion and experience of this game is unforgettable. The visuals in this game are truly amazing. The different locales are breath-taking. Every time I play I find myself commenting on how stunning everything looks. How they are able to do this on the PS4 is unbelievable except for the fact that it's real. If you're thinking about purchasing this, stop thinking and just do it. I profoundly recommend this game!
