For Best Buy, yes, I would purchase from them again. As for the contents of the box, if you enjoy card games, this is a must buy! Also, the 16 bit soundtrack and art book are beautiful! If not, the game by itself is great! Must play game for Fire Emblem or Vanillaware fans!

Unicorn overlord is an increidbly fun game. A perfect blend of jrpg combat and real time strategy. The collectors edition comes along with a 16 bit soundtrack, an incredible art book and a well balanced card game. If you enjoy any games made by Vanillaware I recommend.

The monarch edition is beautiful (it includes a softcover artbook, a whole card game, audio CD, and a downloadable code where you can download icons from Vanillaware previous works as flags to be used in game). The physical copy of the game is included in this as well. As for the game itself, if you are familiar with fire emblem or tactics ogre, then this will feel right at home for ya. The combat system is fun and interactive (planning wise) and beautiful artwork as well. if you're on the fence about the game, you can play the demo of the game on your respected systems (I believe 8 hours worth?) to try out.

What an absolute masterpiece of a game. I have been glued to the screen since day #1. What an incredible experience and an awesome recall to the SNES Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen. I wont spoil the story or anything! The game consist of an overarching story with multiple short stories under it. Tons of characters which to some degree does take a little away from the potential depth of a character, some are more flushed than others. However , the main point in this is the main story and each of the continent/kingdom stories. You have main characters (characters with a face and some story importance) and you can also recruit general units (essentially faceless characters), there are plenty of characters from the story as well as plenty of units to recruit. These characters for the most part can have their class upgraded to a second stage. Battles and Unit set up is extremely similar to Ogre Battle on the SNES. However; equipment, class, and unit placement/configuration plays an important role when tackling a battle. You have strenght and weakness systems in place, as well as unique abilities for units. Example, Archers are strong against flying units, archers and magicians can provide assistance from affar (granted that the other unit is in range), magicians can inflict higher damage on certain armored units. ect. Pretty indepth system and tons of tutorial available, as well as mock battles, and general training battles that you can engage with in the game. The special edition is of grat quality, the box alone is beautiful and very well crafted, card game looks interesting, wonder if its a one time or if they will expand similar to what Witcher did with Gwent. Very cool special edition, great to display. Overall, a very rich game, somewhat simple, and entertaining. Definately recommend this gem of a game.

I love games, and there are many great ones, and some you just play to pass time. There are time, though, when a game hits you in a way you can never forget. Mine are Chronno Trigger, Kingdom Hearts, and now Unicorn Overlord. There is so much in this package, the story, the characters, the moments, the style, the cleaness, the art, the depth, man-oh-man, this is the package. Please! Everyone go buy it, we need this to have an amazing life and for there to be more!

I am a fan of Vanillaware (Dragons crown in particular) but i have played 13 sentinels, GrimGrimoire, and OdinSphere. All different styles of game, but with something in common, visual and story telling. If you like games like Tactic Ogre or Fireemblem, give this one a try. in fact your not limited to a grid, you can send your units freely and its all about who gets to the destination first. It has a lot of sidequests, missions to keep you busy.

The Game: We LOVE this game!! The art style hits us in the nostalgia bone and is just beautiful to look at. Love the subtle movements that breath a whole other level of life into the animaton. Soundtrack is phenomenal and the voice cast did a wonderful job making each characger unique and did a great job using their voices to get that extra layer of immersion. Battle mechanics were odd but we got used to them. Personally can't say if they're my favorite but husband seems to love it. The Physical Collectors Items: box came in excellent condition. Seal was untampered with and no signs of the box having been dropped or smashed. Came with a soundtrack and artbook and card game! I wish the artbook was a hardcover but its awesome anyway with lovely pictures jammed packed into its pages. Soundtrack CDs bad a cute holder and the card game I am excited to play! DEFINITELY recommend to anyone who likes the classic or older feel games from the 16 bit era as well as those who love a rich story and have a liking for strategy!

This tactical RPG is one of the best on the Switch. Vanillaware's beautiful art style, hour long battles, and over 60 playable characters to upgrade. Being a classic story, I enjoyed with interesting characters' interactions. A must buy and the collector's edition have amazing extras.

I adore this game. I played the demo after thinking that it might be a bit too much for me from the trailers. I was absorbed for hours. I'm not even halfway through the game and there's so much I've done and uncovered, I can't wait to see what's next. I was worried about getting the Monarch Edition because of the card game. Because really, a card game? What? But the art book. The artbook is gorgeous! The CD game music collection is immaculate. I'll find something to do with the card game. This game is worth your time.

This game really scratches an itch of the mind that wants to see bars fill and sections of a map get filled out as complete. With beautiful art and great voice acting to match this is a must buy for any fan of the tactical rpg genre

Absolute instant classic new strategy game! The Collector's box is beautiful. The Art book is filled with that incredible Vanillaware art and the card game is something I cant wait to try out.

This game is a must have for everyone, whether you're new to the rpg turn base style or veterans. Plenty of characters for your party. The monarch edition is beautiful and high quality!
