Kidding, of course, but this game gives Fire Emblem a run for its money. The tactics can get pretty deep and instead of focusing on cute characters and stuoid gimmicks like modern FE, this game is all about strategy and believable conflict/characters. I played through the demo all the way, and enjoyed it enough that when my game copy arrived I started over just so I could play the first 6 hours again. I hope this becomes a series and sticks around for a long time, because Unicorn Overlord really fills the niche that Fire Mblem has been failing to for a long time.

Great game really. If you like ogre battle 64 this is the game you have been waiting for. Great music and gameplay. A switch gem for portability.

Excellent game for both beginner and experienced tactical RPG players. The game has a great art style, smooth gameplay, great characters, and interesting tactical decisions to make.

Unicorn Overlord is a treasure trove of customization options for the most die-hard of tactical RPG fans. A wide assortment of characters and classes to choose from, each with their own unique set of active and passive skills allows for nigh endless possibilities in team composition. The game does skew towards the easier side with the bevy of options that skew the odds towards the player’s favor, so playing on harder difficulties is recommended to get a fuller experience with the game. As good as the gameplay is, the story unfortunately does not match that level of quality. While perfectly serviceable and inoffensive, Unicorn Overlord’s story is one that feels like it’s paying tribute to the most mundane of Fire Emblem stories (no surprise there, given the UO devs were obviously inspired by it), from the classic tropes of mind control, betrayal from once trusted allies, and so on. The main cast of characters can also feel bland at times, but the game’s numerous rapport conversations (also inspired by Fire Emblem), in which two characters can converse and share their thoughts and feelings with each other, can at time shine some light on an otherwise (mostly) milquetoast cast. Still, for fans of the tactical RPG genre, Unicorn Overlord is an essential purchase, and a great time even for those who may be newcomers to the genre.

Great strategy rpg game. Works great on the switch with the usual Vanillaware artstyle.

This is an incredible take on Tactics RPGs. Beautiful art, a huge cast of characters, and fantastic plot and gameplay. It looks and runs terrific on Switch!

Inlived this game. It brought back Final Fantasy Tactics vibes but with some new features that didnt drift too far from oldschool JRPG game style. I put in 80 hours and just finished the game. I highly recommend it if you like rurn based strategy and/or JRPG type games

This game is great, addictive gameplay, great characters and a great story. It’s has a good mix of RTS, JRPG and TJRPG.

So far the game has been great. The strategizing of your units has been challenging and the story is simple yet well paced.

Unicorn Overlord wears its influences on its sleeves, but that is a good thing. It's part Ogre Battle, part Fire Emblem, and part its entirely own thing, and the end result is an absolute blast to play. Add to that the gorgeous visuals, and it's a game that hits all of the marks. The only problems are some minor balance issues, and even those don't detract from the overall fun experience. If you're a fan of strategy RPGs, you owe it to yourself to try out Unicorn Overlord.

Got this on a whim for the plane. Its been a lot of fun. I like the art style and the mechanics are easy. It also has automatic battling system which is nice.

Great game, dumb name. 10/10. I recommend it to anyone who likes final fantasy tactics, fire emblem, ogre battle etc.. It's breath of fresh air to strategy\tactics fans. If you're on the fence try the demo. It's the first area of the game with a 7-8 hour time limit. If you decide to get the full game you can use the demo save to continue your progress.

One of the best games I've played this year. Strong real time strategy gameplay, a wide range of interesting characters. An expansive and evolving world to explore and battle in. Not to mention the incredible visual direction. If you are on the fence I could not recommend picking this game up more.

On sale, delivered right when it said it would be, and I'm loving the game. No complaints, I actually bought two bc I had originally wanted to get this for a friend, but after looking at it, knew the game would be fun for me as well.
