It works. The video is good. I used it just in case of an accident. The battery is the only thing I hate about this unit. I fully charged it but the battery only last about 10 minutes of recording. So, you do need to use the car plug included. This leaves a long cable just dangling while driving...why not include a longer life battery?

first one died after couple hours, second one lasted a couple weeks before dying -- no one should waste their money on this product

Don't buy won't last in a hot car. Only lasted 2 months and the screen began to scramble. Save your money.

I bought it on sale I shopped around a little bit before I got it. The only negative thing is I live out in the country and we don't have to many road lights you can't see to well at night. On that note for the price it's a pretty good deal . The whole thing is a little smaller than what I expected it to be but it gets the job done

I purchased this on 11/9/2015. It's a pretty small camera but it provides excellent results! Just note, the camera is designed to start recording when you turn on you're car and stop when you turn it off, but if your cigarette outlet remains powered all the time, the camera will just run constantly so you have to manually stop and turn on the unit

Ordered this saturday and picked up today. So after messing around with it, have to say disappointed. Says records at FHD 1920x1080, but the video looks blurry and honestly feels like it was cheaply made. Feels like something you'd buy at a fleamarket. Returning it tommrow. Did a review on the uniden cam650HD tho, the reviews are amazing and the sample videos on youtube from REAL poeple show a very nice and more real quality videos. So ordered that one, only 12.00 more for a better cam. Between the 2 of them, spend the extra money and get the 650HD uniden cam. Much better picture quality

Its size is very compact just like a spy camera. But the video quality is rather poor. Anyway, it is a rather cheap product unlike other over hundred-dollar ones. It does come with a Kingston 8GB microSD card

Dashcam work best during day light before dark, got it on Black Friday. Not complaining just happy with 4 stars.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He drives truck and wanted something like this. It works well, good video quality and sound. The buttons are on the small side so if you have large fingers you may have a little trouble.

Great product with a lot of features for the price. Screen on the smaller side but it is easy to mount and move. Seems to work great so far.

The video quality from this camera is very poor. Day time shots are very poor to the point you can barely see license plates in front of you. Night time shots are even worst. You can barely even make out what kind of car is in front of you. The night time infrared makes absolutely no difference. Even at the BF price of $40, it's not a good buy. I returned it. I have another one purchase on Amazon for $60 that is far superior. Having the name Uniden does not make it any better. Only positive is that the size is very small which is nice because people can't see it attached to your windshield.

Saving $40 over the 945 only real difference is screen by 1 inch everything about same glad I saved $40 bucks.

I made the mistake of buying this dashcam. The quality of the picture is down right unacceptable to read any license plates. Whats the point. save your money and purchase a better optical solution. i won't make a recommendation since i'm not biased.

After driving around a little bit, I hooked the camera up to my computer to retrieve the video. When I play the video back, the video stutters and freezes and the video makes a loud static sound every 10 seconds or so. All other video on my computer plays fine. A dashboard camera that is perfect at recording video 80% of the time is worth NOTHING if the video freezes when you need it most, like right before or during a crash. I will be returning this item to the store. I am surprised Best Buy sells this type of low-quality product.
