Customers highly value the DCAM Dash Camera's video quality and ease of use, with many praising its affordability. However, some users expressed concerns regarding the small screen size, short battery life, and night vision capabilities. The camera's reliability was also questioned by a few customers. While some found installation easy, others reported issues with the suction cup mount.

Worked for about a month now it constantly is freezing up the screen or freezing on record and doing nothing even though the image isn't froze. Having to constantly reboot sometimes it works an hour sometimes it works 2 minutes. No updated firmware not even supported on thier site. Battery has already stopped holding a charge as well. Don't waste your money on this paper weight

I've had this for 10 months now and haven't had any problems with it. The videos are high quality. It turns on every time I start my car.

The first thing I liked about it was the instruction verbiage. Most instructions are next to useless. These instructions are almost as good as the ones I write, and that’s high praise. I just got it, and will come back with comments about performance. It’s the DC1.

This camera worked for all about 2 months. After 2 months it started freezing and would stop recording. I unplugged it and haven't used it since. Not worth the hassle if it stops recording.

I charged the camera. Then to test it, I set the loop mode to “off” so that it should record a single long loop. I let it record, for about 15+ minutes, while leaving it connected to the power supply. I then connected it to the computer to view the files. It recorded only two separate 1 minute clips. I reconnected it to the power supply. It started to record, but then the screen just turned to streaks before I could even set it down. So, I powered it up again. I set the loop to 3 minutes. The camera seemed to record for a few seconds, then totally froze up. I could not power the unit down. I had to reset it with a paper clip and start over. I left the loop duration on 3 minutes and let the camera alone focused on the TV. After about 20 minutes I connected it to the computer to see what I had. There were 5 files. Three were viewable. The playback was very dark on the periphery even though I was recording in a very well lit room. The other two were corrupt and couldn’t be played. The durations of the playable ones were 1 minute instead of 3. It’s obvious to me that this particular unit is defective and cannot be relied up to record ANYTHING with ANY confidence. I certainly wouldn’t rely on it to record anything critical or in a harsh automotive environment when it can’t even work indoors for more than a few minutes without a problem.

This stopped working after about two weeks. It either freezes or goes to all gray lines across the screen. Of course Best Buy will not replace it just like the rest of my broken Best Buy crap. Now have a wire hanging out of the roof of my car with nothing to attach it to. At least the car tech offered to remove it for free, will likely purchase another camera from a better provider that backs their products to plug in instead of having it removed.

Worked for 2 days. It freezes up and does not record anything. Neither best buy or uniden will replace it. Would not buy this piece of junk, especially from worst buy.
