    Detectors have improved so much since I last owned one 29 years ago. This R4 does not make noise often. In my neighborhood I will get a beep followed by “memory”. Then it stops. I’m loving this detector.

    Moved from an Escort Ix to this R4 and wow, it is really amazing. No false alerts. No blind spots alerts from Hondas or tahoes. Almost completely silent.

    Bought this for my 22 WRX. Have the R3 in my wife's forester XT. Best detectors on the market, saved us multiple times. R4 has much better range, but can't go wrong with either one. Highly recommend to anyone skipping for either.

    Unbelievable, had the R3 for years actually 3, but the R4 is that much more. So worth the difference. Way to go Uniden.
