This was a perfect purchase for me. Although it is slightly larger than the other detectors I’ve had in the past it isn’t over bearing. The arrows make all the difference in the world. It is always nice to know where the radar gun is at. The ability to adjust settings is also a great benefit. Although it is slightly pricey, it is a great purchase if you find yourself driving over the posted speed limit. It should also be noted that the windshield mount bracket is very sturdy.

Noisy guy at first, but if you go to Vortex Radars site/YT channel you can tweaK it to quiet down. Amazing range, display and features. One of the best units on the market.

Work as it should, long range detector, give you a peace of mind but still dont ride like crazy.

I bought this unit after my wife cross a solid line to make a left turn . For that my insurance went up . I decided to get the (Uniden-R7 directional bogey) and R3 , out of all the radar these have the longest range and support all the current bands . Here a bonus you can update your unit by download the file from Uniden website On Utube there is a lots of information on how to setup your unit . In time you will know the difference between falls and the real thing . I Recommend this unit period .

this is by far the best radar i have ever owned. i had the R3, sold it for the R7. Love the arrows.

Great buy…. Picks up all police.. even when they aren’t using radar

I bought this detector for the arrow features to get a better idea of where the signal was coming from. It works flawlessly. Like the filters for false alarms especially those that can be customized. I have a Radenso DS1 and this unit is as quiet if not quieter.

The performance of this radar is awesome. I love it. It's easy to use and install utilizing blendmount bracket.

Best bang for buck radar detector. Did alot of research online and this was the best for the money. Nice screen, updates are kinda hard to figure out, but not a deal breaker. Much cheaper considering how much the top of the line detectors are. Crazy long detection, 2/3 miles before visual. A lot of customizability. Comes in nice case, 12v plug has a usb plug in so you dont lose the ability to use the plug.

Had the R3 and replaced it with the R7 what an amazing upgrade with new features.

I purchased the Uniden R7 after purchasing the Uniden R3. The R7 with the directional arrows, make the R3 and any other detector I've had seem obsolete. The R7 performs as expected and then some. This detector is a most for those looking for the latest advancement/technology in radar detectors. If you can fit the cost in your budget, I highly recommend the Undien R7.

This is a great radar detector if you need the arrows. The physical size is quite large, and it has a huge OLED screen on it. The arrows are a welcome addition over the R3.

Great long range detector. Would recommend for anyone looking for a radar detector with max range. You will have to manually train it to lock out false signals. If you don’t mind putting in the work to manually do that. You will love this product. You can also configure each band to sensitivity and range of frequency. This detector also comes with MCRD which is a plus for the new stationary radar guns at red lights.

Best one available as of today at a price that may be worth it. It is rather large to attach to the windshield and the sticker that holds it is truly impossible to remove. Its size i also makes it difficult to quickly hide somewhere in the car or pockets. Very noisy within a city that has not been previously used and altered. Be aware that after a few more years all radar detector may be obsolete due to safety device radar in each approaching and passing cars.

An upgrade from a 7 year old passport and wow. The mute memory and mark memory locations are game changing. Building doors can drive you mad so the the ability to mute memory these are great for sanity. It also has a mark feature for hot spots. It has unreal range and the arrows to show which way the signal is coming from. The LEDs can be customized for whatever color you see fit.

Excellent detector, as proven by my almost 2 years using an R7. I dropped it and broke something, so another was needed, and the BestBuy low price + $50 off made the decision to buy very easy. Plenty of options, came with the latest firmware, and they finally got rid of the Honda/Acura TSD notifications. The range - front & rear - is great, and helps with the hiding guys doing on-off checking.
