Coming from a escort detector, I was very skeptical. But this thing blows always my escort detectors I have ever owned in the past. The only thing I Wish they would improve is the laser detection.

Detector actually had an issue right out of the box which uniden support was able to diagnose over the phone as a faulty antenna. Was exchanged right away and works like abchamp! Very happy!!

With the right firmware and settings this the best bang for your buck. Really far pickup and great filter settings eliminate false alerts. The GPS lockout feature works on the newest firmware as well.

Works well! Love the arrows it really helps. I have tried Val, Escort, and Uniden just works really well. I do wish it was more smart like can connect to your phone, however it works really well!

I moved to the R7 from the Valentine One, and must say this is far more user friendly radar detector. The menu system is very easy to use, and the unit has much better filtering than the V1.

Always better to be safe then sorry. Have had escort radar and always loved them wanted to try the uniden because I know they make a great product too. Wasn’t disapppinrted. Have a 360 in another vehicle.

This Device is great because I always know where the cops are. Even if you're not speeding, it's always nice to know. The only critical complaint that I have is how loud it is when you first turn it on. There are adjustable settings.

This is my first radar detector and it is a great product so far. Set-up was easy. Updating the firmware was a little tricky at first but tech support was very helpful.

Saved me so much money in not getting pulled over. Best detector out there the videos can prove that.

Upgraded from the uniden R3 to get the rear detection. So far, it works great! Only been using it since Christmas so havent had many police contacts with it. Had a few false alerts from other cars but they only last a few seconds. One weak spot is the speaker. It sounds pretty tinny but its loud enogh to get your attention.

This radar detector saved me from two tickets the first week I had it. one of the County Deputies was still using the old K band. Absolutely no interference from people's blind spot sensors. This thing is amazing, you can adjust the alert noises and change the colors.

This Uniden R7 Radar Detector is great! It gives me piece of mind especially because of all the technological features such as locating the direction of threats and inner city / neighborhood Speed Zones. I am very happy with my Uniden R7!

The OLED screen on this radar detector is an unnecessary liability, as indicated in the instruction manual that states something along the lines of "if the screen is unexpected to change over a long period [like during a highway drive across states], set the brightness to 'dark' mode to prevent burn in". Yes, the instruction manual actually mentions BURN IN. There is absolutely NO reason why this tiny radar detector screen needs OLED technology susceptible to BURN IN, especially when a cheaper and just as effective LCD display would have avoided this problem. Now, I have to decide whether or not to bring the radar detector into the store to add the 2-year replacement plan, or just return it altogether because BURN IN is a real problem and pain in the butt that we've had to deal with multiple times on our OLED LG TV. Otherwise, seems like an okay detector.

So I’m not a crazy speeder but it is nice to have a little security just in case. I figure if you’re going to get a radar detector you don’t waste your money on the cheap ones. Well worth the money. Once you get it configured it’s amazing.

Decent piece of kit. But way too many falses on K band for me. It is not cloaked to spectre 2&3, only to 1&4. Build quality seems a bit cheap. Defense against Ka band is a winner along with the arrows! Price definitely a bit high.

Awesome radar detector. Has saved me a few times unknowingly speeding….

Works as it should. I picked up a trooper about a half mile in front of me, only because he had stopped someone else. Range is questionable, I thought I should have detected him sooner. Updating the unit out of the box was a pain. Shouldn’t have to go thru that much for an update. JMO.

Great detector with lots of features. Still need to fine tune the settings, but just made the trip from Ohio to Myrtle Beach and it saved me several times with plenty of notice.

This radar detector is better than other that cost much more. It suits me perfectly. If you don’t care about directional arrows (you should care), save some money and go with the Uniden R3.
