Great detector, though pricy. I didn't think I would care much about the direction indicator, but it is nice to have.

Best high-end radar detector for the money, in my opinion. I suggest researching the best configuration settings for optimal results. Google 'Vortex Radar Uniden R7'.

Its a great radar detector but quickly ruins the quality of the drive. Gets constant alerts even after fine tuning and installing latest firmware. Be sure to familiarize your self with each state regulations and what bands they use before you drive.

This radar detector has by far been a excellent purchase. Setup will take some time and can be frustrating but picking up alerts up to a mile away is amazing!

Saved me from over $800 in tickets on long road trip to Texas. Very comprehensive set of indicators, warnings and customization options. The price is high, but worth the bill.

The pandemic has limited my useage, however, is a reliable unit. The direction indicators are helpful but it is the range that impresses. A good option for detectors at the price point.

I bought this uniden R7 radar detector as a gift for my son and haven’t given it to him yet. He wanted this particular one as he knows friends that have it and it comes highly recommended.

I own the R3 and really like it. Has saved me many times. This R 7 is even better and shows direction of the sending unit.

I found the arrow feature to be a bit of a letdown in practical usage. The upgrade in experience from the R3 didn't justify the price difference to me.

Picks up a signal really well in a good distance! A true stealth device even in Virginia and DC. Loving my new “canary bird” that chirps every once in awhile.

This detector will not just alert you to radar, it will also alert you to red light cameras, areas not to overspeed, and speed cameras. Definitely useful for a long road trip.

It’s an upgrade from the R3 just hope the internal part that locks the clip in place doesn’t fail like the one in the R3 using plastic it streatched and the plastic notch wore away

the HIGHWAY RANGE ON ka BAND IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, still LEARNING THE DEVICE AND k BAND FALSE ALARMS ARE CURRENTLY HIGH, BUT THE DEVICE IS TOP OF THE LINE

Cant go wrong with R7. I upgraded from the R3 and this unit is much better. It is sturdy and loud, and works great every time, better than many others out there.

This thing paid for it self quickly. The price it saved me in potential tickets, justified the price I paid for it.

Really top of the line. Suggest the blend mount and hardwired kit too. Make sure to look up how to program the advanced settings

Best Radar Detector for the price range. After resent update in March the R7 has been rock solid! Has a real OLED screen not idiot lights like others.

ka band alerts over a mile on flat ground. Half mile alerts common in hilly country. K pop in areas outside the city is excellent. If it notifies, I trust it.
