    I purchased the R7 as an upgrade to the R3...not sure if it is any better. 1) The arrows are a bit pointless because they are not consistent after multiple directional tests, and the detection distance compared to the R3 was actually not as sensitive! The R3 alerted me earlier each time I had them operating side-by-side. Maybe my settings are off on the R7, but it is a bit of a let down so far.

    Uniden needs to step up their firmware revisions. Latest one is too sensitive. Thankfully you can downgrade to an older one.
