This radar detector is top notch for the money i paid. I do like all the different settings it has to offer. Not quite sure on how it works entirely but i will tell you that if this thing does go off, you better slow your butt down because this detector has yet to give me a false alarm. I live in vegas and not one yet and no tickets, so this baby works spot on everybody.

Best detector on the market. The ability to quiet all x and k bands when your traveling under a certain speed is great for in town driving. The ability to Mark all speed traps and mute all false alarms with the gps feature is nice. The elimination of most blind spot monitoring alerts from Honda’s/ Acura’s and others is also nice. The arrows are flat cool. The ability to update software makes this a long term investment.

First time purchasing a Uniden radar detector. I haven't regret purchasing it since I got it. All my other cars has the Escort Redline 360c and Max 360. The R7 works just as well as the other radars, but at a factions of the cost. A little big, but works well with the Blend Mount mounting bracket.

Great radar! I haven't owned one in years because all the older radars seemed to pick up more stores that cops, but this radar is completely different. Just drove from Michigan to Florida, and I'm very happy I bought this before I left.

Setup was super easy and it proved useful on the first day. This is not my first radar detector and I am impressed with it’s capabilities.

Tbis radar has a very long range detection. Yes its a little pricey but i admit its worth every penny!!!!

IF the officer is running radar. IF. I repeat IF. The R7 will pick up the KA band from super far. And will never miss. Every single time theres radar being ran anywhere within 2 miles of me. (Detection range may vary due to trees, If you are new to this type of thing, this isnt a police detector. This is a RADAR detector. If the cop is not running radar, you will not get an alert. Run it in highway mode at all times. If you HEAR laser. Do not stop. Its over for u already. Go 140 and hit the next exit quick. Good luck!

Great little device, helps remove anxiety of getting pull over 10/10

The distance is very good. I've only used highway mode and I hear alerts long before I see the officer running radar. The directional arrows are great to help understand where the alert is coming from. I do get a lot of nuisance alerts for blind spot monitors and automatic door sensors in stores on k band. Near shopping centers, its pretty constant but it can be made less sensitive in city mode. There is also a mute button on the charger. It seems like the speed cameras alert stronger on k than the false alarms and are easy to pick out. Also if its a known speed or red light camera location, it will call it out with a different alert. So far it seems like all but a couple of the officers I've seen in Maryland are using ka band which is a different alert and easy to recognize. This also has gps so if there is a false alert that you drive past everyday, you can mute it by location. I wish I bought this before I got some hefty speeding tickets.

Best radar detector for the price. Nothing beats this one. Range is excellent and gets rid of false alerts. I've had the r3 but the r7 wins.

While this radar detector is the best currently available, it is nonetheless overpriced. I have owned several radar detectors since the very first Passport, which is still the standard upon which all subsequent detectors follow. That standard is small size and simplicity. The R7 fails the small-size criteria, but excels without relying on gimmicks requiring subscriptions with further expense (are you listening Escort?). A top line radar detector should be maximum $500, and the industry will price itself out of existence if it continues its upwards trend.

Absolutely loved this device, gives you ample amount of time to check your speeds when theres a speed check ahead, or when theres radar while traveling down a road from all directions.

Works exceptionally, would highly recommend as a cheaper alternative to the r8 after side by side testing!

I’ve had 4 or 5 different escort radar detectors wife has my escort 360 in her car now the R7 simply just see’s the radar first . It’s the best I’ve ever had and or know of my wife bought me the r3 at first and I returned and got the r7 but the r3 is just as good but without the fancy gps stuff and no arrows
