Overall the radar detector is a high end/ high quality product. The range is the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve owned quite a few detectors over the years. The only reason it got for stars was because it had a pretty high price tag and the overall volume wasn’t quite as loud as I had hoped. I would recommend this product if you’re in the market.

I upgraded from the R3, what an improvement. Don’t get me wrong, the R3 is still a great unit, I just wanted to try something with the directional arrows. It was a great integration and glad I made the upgrade. The range is even a little better than the R3.

Really solid detector. Excellent range. Wish the mute button was differently located, but probably where I have mine mounted that makes it bit awkward. A few falses, but acceptable for the range and sensitivity that it offers.

Still haven't installed. My mistake because I got a ticket.

Hands down the best sensitivity and range, coming from passport max to this r7 I gotta say this radar detector has pay for itself 10 fold by alerting me of potential threats. I suggest looking up vortex radar for all test results on this radar and setup

Awesome radar detector with great range. Arrows are extremely helpful. Lots of good info online on how to best set up. Slightly less range than R8 but still great and cheaper. Best bang for the buck.

Its amazing it makes it feel legal to speed drive carefully!

It learns all the false signals quickly and alerts the real ones..

Excellent rader uniden R7 I use all rader escort but not good . Uniden R7 is best rader . I suggest for by this rader R7. Very very long range . Hwy and hills up and down hwy excellent work . 5 star product

Best Radar Detector, the only disadvantage is that picks up other false alarm, but once you learn the sounds it is fine. Best detect long range so you have plenty of time to reduce speed. I did not like that is too bulky, but for the performance, I guess it required to be big.

R7 may just be the best radar detector that I have ever owned. I've owned the Escort Passport 9500iX (of which I loved at the time), I've owned the Uniden R3 (super long range) and now the R7. I can say that I do not know how I lived this long without the arrows? That is such a cool feature! I have the R3 in the wife's car and when it goes off, I find myself looking for the arrows (of which are missing) to see which direction the radar is coming from. Now I'm spoiled with the R7. Simply the best I've ever owned. Rad picks up signal a long long ways away. Just get it!

The 3rd party reviews on this detector is incredible. So I had to pick one up. I was using a V1 prior to this. There are a lot of options to customize this to the way you want it. The arrows is what prompted me to buy this detector. Although this product is great, are a few things I don’t like: the build is mediocre. The front plastic piece attached to the plastic body has a lot of play, especially when removing and attaching the detector. I would expect more from a high end, top of the line product. I personally felt it had just as much false K as any other detector. I hated the mounting options that came with it. The mounts are metal but the detector is plastic. After just a few uses, I already started to notice the wear on the detector body. Lastly, this is made in Korea. The V1 is made in the USA. May not matter to others but matters to me.

Product serves its purpose greatly and maybe the second best of its own brand.

The R7 Radar detector has great range. I can pick up Ka radar on the interstate long before I am within range. Even if there is a speed trap where the radar is going on and off I see that and it reminds me to check my speed and helps me remember what the speed limit is.
