Picks up everything with a good range. Different sounds for different alerts. Good gps memory to block some signals, will alert once.

By far the best radar detector I've ever had. Singled about two miles out. Hands down the best. You get what you pay for!

After doing much research, the unit in R8 is certainly the best supported radar detector out there. When you’re doing a lot of highway driving and paired with the app Waze you can drastically reduce your speeding liabilities. I am happy with the unit, except for the fact that there are a lot of false triggers on K band.

Hands down the best radar detector for the money. Really long range. Blows all others away.

It works very well for me. I also use the R8 app to ensure a quieter drive. However, don't anticipate a setting for every situation. When traveling across states, you may need to utilize other apps. The R8 app can be used in conjunction with the Waze App for added protection. Above all, be caution while speeding—it's not safe!

Easily the best or one of the best detectors available. Alerts miles ahead of the threat and with accuracy. Only downside is the constant false alerts from cars and other reactive devices.

The price of this product is expensive, however in the long run it will pay off. Its range is incredible, and works perfectly even through carbon tint. I highly recommend downloading the Uniden app on computer and tweaking the radar detector to your liking.

This radar detector has paid for itself! It alerts you well in advance, so you can slow down….lol. It is well worth the money and it does all that is described in the product description.

Excellent radar detector. Recently took trip from Los Angeles to Vancover B.C. Radar functioned perfectly. It identified all active radars both coming and going. I highly recommend this for anyone doing a lot of traveling.

I was a little hesitant to spend the money... but am so glad that I did. The speeding tickets I avoided in the first month alone made it worth the price. The range on this thing is unbelievable. I won't drive anywhere without my R8.

Saved me from 3 speed traps in one day. Legit product, this stuff has some power! I’m happy I made the investment. At first I thought it didn’t work until one morning it saved me from a speed trap in north bay village Florida. Cop was hidden well with multiple motorcycle cops stoping people from all directions. Ever since that day I’ve never questioned the R8!

The range on this is absolutely insane. Has definitely saved me few times since I’ve been running it.
