Debated over the other models and settled for the R8, i’d rather buy once than buy twice! Very satisfied with it

Hands down an efficient device. A friendly indicator to remind you that you may accidentally be going over the speed limit and to politely slow down to avoid that accidental violation.

Good radar detector. A little too many false alerts imo.

This detector is better and much more reactive than my R7. I got this expecting the Bluetooth function to be enabled shortly after but we're still waiting.

Its already alerted me a few times and has been pretty reliable. Def recommend

This product is garbage. The LASER on it never worked. You can query the web and find many people with the same problem. The power cord came out and now the device doesn't even work. SAVE YOU MONEY, GO WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND.

Radar detectors today are expensive ($700)and so I rate the value as “ fair”. I did like how the iPhone app is simple in bare bones. The radar detector seems to be effective in detecting, K and Ka band signals. I had to switch off the K band because I was getting redundant alarms. I like how the kit includes two suction cups, but I wish both suction cups were the same large size. I’ve also owned the escort Max 360 and I’m questioning whether that one may have been better.

I was trying to decide between uniden R8 and escort redline detector. I’m the end the R8 was the better choice IMO at this time. So far it’s been great!

Works quite well. Upgraded from Escort 9500ix. Then flexibility of options makes it work very well in signaling actual radar hits. Build quality could be better but functionality is great.

It's been great. Many may think it's a little clunky but it's the best detector I've ever had. it picks up signals almost 2 miles away at times. Really cool!!!

Its cheaper than a speeding ticket after impound fees and higher insurance rates. Buy the metal rear view mirror mount if you live in CA.

I really trust this. I just love it. It's worked great for me. There's some state it's illegal to use it, so be careful.

Everything my fiance hoped for. It detected laser very far away. It hasn't given any false alerts as of yet and easy to set up.
