A little bulky but the best bang for the buck. Uniden is great with firmware updates as well.

If you have never owned one this is one of the best radar detectors on the market. Its also available unlike the Escort Redline 360c or the V1G2 which you need a phone to get the gps or frequency to know if its a false or legit. I brought 2 to replace my RL360C as the last update was over a year ago and they basically said this is what it is take it or leave it.

Great asset when you have a car that can go real fast. It does what it is supposed to do and the mute memory feature is awesome.

Good product, great fast delivery by Best Buy. Need to tweak the bands to suit police radars at your area to avoid false alarms.

10/10 had no issues just you gotta realize its cost 500 for a speeding ticket snd thist cost 600 to give you a heads up

Works well. Great feature is the auto memory so you dont get false alarms over and over.

I have the r7 and besides the display kinda failing in 2 years everything works perfectly and saved me many times. The design on r8 is really bad and basically canceling the back protection for laser. I know ... Laser alerts are normally just telling you that you got a ticket but it's good to have protection from laser in the back as well. the sensor doesn't pass the raised portion of the detector. I recommend r7... and hopefullyu r9 designers take some classes before release

Great radar, only flaw is that the top buttons rattle no matter how the radar is mounted

Super quiet and filters out the blind spot camera detections that my old escort xi always detected. Now it’s a quiet way to and from work. But is spot on with direction where the threat is

Good in he beginning, the first one display went out then came back and stayed black & white, good thing i bought the extended warranty. The second one the same screen went completely dimmed and can’t get it bright. So stay away.
