It is a very nifty attachment when you are needing more than one USB port. However, it sticks out a bit and seems a little unsteady with it only hanging on by the c-port. If you are not going to be using the laptop on a solid surface, I'd be careful. I usually have my laptop on the couch or my lap, and I would get nervous if it slipped that it would bend the c-type connection. I try not to leave it in the computer if I don't need it. So far, it's been good, and can handle several USB devices plugged in together. I do have a 3.0 port.

Purchased this item to allow me to more easily connect peripherals to my HP Spectre x2 due to its regrettably limited selection of I/O ports, ordered in-store due to a lack of available usb-c hubs w/more than 2 USB ports. Shipping was fast, upon arrival I noted that the packaging and product both looked and felt cheap overall, also the usb-c power delivery port wasn't powerful enough for my device, ultimately I decided to return it after using it and realizing I'd like to have a wider selection of ports and finding a(hopefully) higher quality Lenovo hub on Amazon for approximately the same price.

My new Apple Macbook has limited USB ports and this hub multiplies my access and download abilty. I have been able to connect older Flash Drives which I used for sorting documents, files and other downloads. This allows me to keep my older directory system intact.

Since purchasing my 2016 12" Macbook, I have been passively keeping my eyes on the price of USB-C hubs. When USB-C came to Apple, most products were too expensive for my college budget, resulting in my lack of prior purchase. I recently purchased this product, and was very excited to give it a try. Right out of the box, it feels cheaply made. The outer body is made of a cheap plastic material that seems to give under a little bit of pressure. I am also afraid of the USB-C plug getting stuck inside of my Mac due to the lack of quality (example - I already have scratched and paint chipping and I store all my laptop accessories in a protective sleeve). I am well aware of the price difference compared to other models, but I was very disappointed on the quality of this item.
