I purchased the V-Moda Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex headphones about a week ago. I was instantly impressed, and the time since then only reinforces that notion. Read on to learn more about the different aspects of my experience, from unboxing to initial setup and finally to use. You will also find a few kinds words for Best Buy, who made this experience fun and enjoyable! Unboxing The unboxing experience was simple and straightforward. Given the sometimes superfluous packaging of modern electronics, it was great to have just a few inserts and a sticker that my daughter loves. The product box is well-made and sturdy, the packaging solid. I thought the snap on the box was cool, not something you see every day. I purchased the rose gold version of this headset, and the glisten as it first came out of the deep dark of the box was simply stellar. Initial Setup The headphones power up quickly with a single slide bar on the bottom of one can. This toggle is also used for attaching via Bluetooth, a simple process that allowed me to connect to my computer, phone and TV within just a few moments. The shoulder buttons reside on the same can as the on/off switch, and are used for playback features and volume control. You will want to take a few minutes to read over instructions, and that only to understand how to use the buttons effectively. This process was effortless, a rare moment of simplicity that only promised good things to come. The Sound I listened to the Crossfade 2 Codex extensively over the past week. I work from home, and these headphones are great for reducing external noise and distraction. While not noise-cancelling, the snug fit of the unit greatly reduces outside interference, leaving you free to enjoy the soundscape contained within. Highs are specific and crystalline, the mid range sumptuous and warm in ways that surprise. Other reviews mentioned a somewhat bass-heavy experience, although I find that largely depends on your musical preferences. What I can say is that there were several moments when a song I have listened to for years sounded brand new and different. The 1995 Jekyll & Hyde musical by Wildhorn and Bricusse is a bombastic and taxing performance that often distorts speaker performance, but the Crossfade 2 took measure and excelled. Wireless connectivity is excellent, although you will expect even better sound when using a wired connection. Best Buy The purchasing experience with Best Buy was uncomplicated, with an earlier than expected delivery. External packaging was robust and kept the headphones safe. The aftercare was also excellent. Perusing the 3-day sales going on this weekend, I noticed the headphones were on sale for $249. I hopped onto the website and asked about the sale and Price Match Guarantee. In less than five minutes, Barbara L. refunded the difference in my purchase price, making this an even better experience! Final Thoughts The purchase initially felt like a risk when compared to more recognized brands like Bose and Sony. What I found with deeper research is that this was an equal if not superior product with a somewhat smaller yet equally devout fan base. There is a shorter battery life for this model when compared to those brands, although that is largely a non-factor for me. I wanted the Magnolia experience offered by Best Buy, to feel like I was extending myself in the pursuit of sonic excellence. My risk was rewarded in this case, and I absolutely feel excited every time I put these headphones on. The V-Moda Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex is a terrific headphone, and I only expect better as I learn how to properly use the device. This unit is accurately valued at $349, and is a steal at $249. If you are in the market, I highly suggest giving these headphones a try! **For those who may have missed it, there is a free Best Buy cross-promotion with V-Moda that allows you to receive a free set of customized side shields upon registering the headphones. Here is the link to instructions: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/clp-tv-home-theater/vmoda-shield-deal/pcmcat1526567866427.c?id=pcmcat1526567866427. I am leaving this review to begin my customization process, having received notification yesterday of my confirmed promotion. **

V-MODA Crossfade 2 are headphones, unlike anything you experienced before...Heck, they are unlike anything I've tried before with all my years of reviewing headphones. Really these have made me have higher expectations for headphones in this price range. I mean I can rave on and on about how they good they are but I love to take a moment to about the presentation first before. The box itself feels like they took love and honor crafting itself. To be perfectly honest I feel like this is equitant to getting keys to a Ferrari for audiophiles. I never really talk about unboxing experiences but I feel like if you are a fan of electronics you would appreciate this to the highest levels. The carrying hook on the box itself has leather straps it feels and it's insane. Once you get past that point you pull out the headphones and greeted with lots of premium instructions and products to other V-Moda things like the boom mic. They give you a card called "50% IMMORAL LIFE" program where if they break you can get a new pair for half the price. I don't know any other company who would offer such a thing but trust me you would want to sign up. This is great and BIG thumbs up to V-Moda for looking out for their customers. The V-MODA Crossfade 2 Design is unlike anything ever encountered. They call it "Milano Design" I call it "Bliss in luxury." I can't find another word to say other then it is pure premium. Crossfade 2 has a bold yet luxury style to them. And yes its enough to turn heads to even people with other headphones on. (I was in an art store in Chicago and a man with Bose QC35 turned his head in disgust lol.) If you want to get really serious about being customizable you can buy "Sheilds" that are custom to your liking raging from $25 to $35,000...Yep, you heard that correctly. There are basic colors, 3D plated prints, leather, and some made out of platinum/24 ct. gold. They have so many more and even get your name printed. World-class quality? No, more like Universe-class quality. You should know these headphones are well built. Hi-res CCAW coils, Memory foam on the cups, Super strong hinge, Soft & comfortable ergonomic headband made out of steel inside, Reinforced cable if you need it, Clicky strong Bluetooth buttons and 50MM cups on the hears are perfectly fitted to your head. Nothing was cut out for your comfort at all and V-Moda understands this. The sound is beast and is worldly, with the cord you can get 5Hz to 40k Hz full of pure sound, I have an iPhone (AAC) but with an android, you get even more benefits with Qualcomm's APX sound which AMAZING when I tried it with a Galaxy S7+ there is nothing like it. Speaking of which there is passive noise cancelation, which to me easily trump active on any headphones on the market today. Every single sound is delivered to you as raw and pure as it can leaving levels and bass out evenly. The headphones are lightweight though I'm not sure I'll wear them to the Gym, it is possible to work out in these but for how long is remain to be seen. On a hot summer day in Chicago walking downtown, I did have to put them out after a while but luckily the Exo case that comes with the headphones. There is an area inside where you can make the case breathable so the sweat can dry out. Also, Zero Latency with the cord that's included so you can use it for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One with ease (there is also a boom mic you can buy if you also want to get serious for gaming but the cord included works just fine.) Battery life stays true to what V-Moda promised. Used the headphones all weekend and they just died on me but hey last the promised 14+ hours. I managed to squeeze 15+ out of them without worrying about BT. inside you get Speakeasy cable with mic, USB cable for charging, 1/4" Pro adapter and that's it. Bluetooth can connect to 2 devices at once like the iPhone and iPad at the same time. To me, these are the best I've ever had period.V-MODA Crossfade 2 is downright the headphones of the year at this point. Nothing even comes close to my hears and V-Moda is a company I'm going to keep my eyes on. Nothing cheapens the experience with these and one I would proudly spend the money on. Not sure your friends would spend the money on these but I will only recommend Crossfade 2. The warranty alone makes you feel good owning these. The "Ferrari" of headphone sounds are here...V-MODA Crossfade 2 is better than the rest.

The Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex Edition headphones are V-Moda's upgrade over the Crossfade 2 (non-codex edition). These are built tough, with quality materials; yet lightweight and comfortable. The ear pads have super cushy memory foam and they don't sit too tight on my head. The shields on the outside can be customized with many different colors and patterns, as well as be 3d printed or engraved. Even precious metals can be ordered for them. These have Qualcomm aptX, AAC and SBC codecs so your music will have cd quality sound when using them via Bluetooth. They are a wireless/wired hybrid, so you can use them either way. When wired, they don't use any battery and they provide certified Hi Res Audio, which is like master quality. I have some songs that use the FLAC file format and they sound amazing on these headphones. (FLAC is a lossless file format which maintains the sound that the recording engineers intended). These will block out most outside noise but they are passive noise cancelling, which I prefer because I don't like the pressure that active noise cancelling headphones cause on my ears. There is very little noise bleeding with these so you won't annoy people too badly with what you're listening to. These have vented ear pads to keep them cooler and they come with a carrying case that is also vented to help keep sweaty headphones from getting too gross. The carrying case has a hard shell that is also slightly cushioned. It has a built-in carabiner which is nice. The 14 hour battery is nice, plus the cord can be used if your battery dies. There is a hidden microphone built in to the headphones and if you use the wired connection, there is a microphone on the cord. There is a really engulfing 3D surround sound field when wearing these that make you feel like you're in the room with the musicians. The Crossfade 2 Codex Edition Headphones have become my new favorite headphones!

I like these headphones so much more than I thought I would. I owned a pair of V-MODA headphones years ago that were cumbersome, gaudy, and overall just didn’t sound that great. My opinion about V-MODA has completely changed with these headphones. They look fantastic, they’re extremely comfortable and durable, and they sound great. For general purpose listening I don’t think you can go wrong with these. Getting into the box you get the headphones, a carrying case, 3.5mm cable, ¼” adapter plug, and a USB cable for charging. The USB cable is Micro USB, which is mildly disappointing; I’m always hoping companies will make the jump to USB-C, but for now I’ve got no shortage of Micro USB cables lying around. The case is nice; it’s sturdy, relatively compact, and has spots to store the 3.5mm and USB cable. I’m really into the look of these headphones. Usually I prefer something with a more understated look, but the matte white color is extremely striking without being over the top. They feel very durable and well put together while also being lightweight and comfortable at the same time; these feel like the kind of headphones you could wear for several hours. I initially thought the ear cushions were going to be too small for my ears, but they fit over just right. On the right side there’s an on/off switch for Bluetooth and 3 buttons for volume and play/pause. The buttons are relatively large and easy enough to feel out once you know where they are, though the raised screw heads on the ear cups do initially make finding them a little difficult at first. I’ve been listening to music and watching videos on my phone using both Bluetooth and the wired 3.5mm cable and the sound quality is great in both situations. I think the wired connection gets the edge for overall sound quality, but I never really wanted for it all that much listening over Bluetooth. Being able to hear the details in music is really important to me with headphones and everything comes through clear in these headphones. It feels like there’s just a touch of extra bass, but it doesn’t muddle the mids or highs. The sound isolation is pretty good as well. These don’t have active noise cancelling, but they do a pretty good job of blocking out most external noise. Part of what makes the Codex Edition different from the original Crossfade 2 is that it includes support for additional Bluetooth audio codecs. These headphones support aptX, AAC, and SBC audio. I am a little disappointed that V-MODA didn’t include support for the higher resolution aptX HD or LDAC codecs, especially given the name, but the standard aptX through my Pixel 2 still sounds good. V-MODA also offers the ability to customize the ear cups, which is pretty cool and registering the headphones gets you a code for a pair of aluminum engraved or 3D printed covers from their website. These might be my new favorite headphones. I’m usually not the type to use headphones in most situations unless I need to, but I keep finding a reason to listen to these.

I am very excited to write this review on the Crossfade II Wireless Codex edition head phones! I own several pair of expensive headphones, so I pulled them out to make a real-time comparison. Although other brands feature noise-cancelling technologies, these V-moda headphones were clear winners in producing a full, bass rich sounds experience! There are some great features to these headphones that include: - A very solid and stable design - they just feel like high-quality - The Bliss Memory foam feels wonderful on my ears - Steelflex headband is very comfortable, but might mess up your hair-do - Personalize your set with Custom, Laser printed Shields for $25 - Way cool, Click to Fold (Cliqfold) hinge design for easy storage - Included 1/8 in cable and 1/4 in adapter jack for wired connectivity - like on a airplane or to your guitar - Nice clam-shell case with an Exoskeleton design and integrated cable pockets - Easy bluetooth pairing - literally took me 5 seconds. - Claim 14 hour battery life - I have been able to test that yet and I'll update this review if they don't last that long. Overall - very impressed. Excellent look, feel and sound. My only wish is that they had noise cancelling features - maybe the next version.

2 years ago, I bought the V-MODA Crossfade M-100. While I enjoyed it, I wasn’t enamored with it, and ultimately came to the conclusion that the compromises in sound quality were not worth it. All of that changes with the Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex Edition. UNBOXING: V-MODA delivered an excellent unboxing experience on the M-100, and that’s no exception for the Crossfade 2. Upon snipping the ribbon outside of the box and pulling the button strap off the top, you’ll be met with some protective foam, a warranty card, a 3.5mm to ¼” adapter, as well as the headphones in their case—for your pleasure of opening. The case is very durable and rigid, as to protect the Crossfade 2 from any potential drops. Inside the case, you are met with the headphones, a micro-USB charging cable, and a 3.5mm cable if you so choose to use the headphones wired. The headphones also have instructions attached to the outer ear cup to explain the wireless functionality and controls. BUILD QUALITY: The M-100 was no exception to build quality, they kept the theme with the Crossfade 2 Wireless. These things have a steel frame that passes military testing, a headband that can withstand a lot of stress, a fiber-reinforced cable with a 45-degree plug that can bend over 1 million times. On top of that, they passed environmental tests for more extreme temperatures, humidity, salt and UV. They feel very durable while still delivering a ~11oz lightweight construction and an elegant design. COMFORT: So how do they deliver on comfort? Well, I’m really happy to report that the Crossfade 2 weighs only slightly more than the M-100 and has addressed the issues I had with the M-100. Firstly, the ear pads are substantially better than the M-100, using a memory foam cushion material, rather than a stiffer, springy material. The end result is a better seal over your ears for improved noise isolation while also relieving pressure around your ears. I don’t think the headband has changed since the M-100 whose headband caused me discomfort at the apex of my head after long listening sessions. If you’re like me, I’d expect to experience at least a little discomfort over a couple hours, and would always recommend taking a break, anyway. PORTABILITY: The Crossfade 2 Wireless uses the Cliqfold hinge, making it very portable and easy to stow away in its case. This is one of the most portable hybrid wireless over-ear headphones that exist in the market that also delivers impressive audiophile-grade performance for the price. SOUND: How do the Crossfade 2 Wireless sound? These actually caught me off guard; I was actually expecting to be unimpressed. However, unlike the M-100, these don’t sacrifice midrange and treble clarity. I can tell that V-MODA focused on improving bass quality (not just quantity) while also not alienating listeners like me who also listen to very vocal music as well as music where instrumentation takes the stage. If you listen to a lot of bass-heavy music, you will love the Crossfade 2 Wireless’ presentation of bass. You get that sub-bass rumble, while also maintaining clarity in the midrange and treble. As a result, vocals stay properly balanced in the mix, while instruments like synthesizers, keys, percussion, guitars and so on are distinguishable and with excellent clarity. Much of this can probably be attributed to the new drivers engineered and made in Japan, probably thanks to the newfound partnership with Roland Corporation, V-MODA’s parent company as of 2016. Sound stage is impressive, especially for such a small, portable headphone, and playing on my Roland V-Drum electronic drum kit (with acoustic drum samples) yielded impressive sound with the kick being the only part that was emphatic in a way I felt a bit unnatural. Of course, this is due to the bass emphasis in the Crossfade 2, but considering the M-100 sounded entirely unnatural on the same kit, V-MODA has colored me impressed. At this point, I should mention that the reason this is the “Codex Edition” is due to the added support for AptX and AAC wireless codecs, delivering higher bitrates that allow you to hear your music without loss of quality. If you’re using a modern Android device, you’ll likely have AptX support, and if not, probably AAC. If you’re using iOS, you’ll be using AAC. Both are sufficient solutions, but I would have liked to see LDAC support. V-MODA claims that the sound is virtually identical in wireless and wired mode. Using a very reliable desktop DAC & Amplifier that I normally use for my high-end headphones, I decided to test this claim. From my findings, I found that while the Wireless mode sounded great and quite balanced, my desktop amplifier leans on the warm side of things, and as a result, adds a slight warmth to accentuate the bass, but delivered superb clarity that made using it wired an absolute joy. Ultimately, this is great for audiophiles, as they Crossfade 2 delivers exceptional wireless audio performance while also delivering an even more impressive Hi-Res audio experience when paired with a quality amplifier. When in wired mode, the Crossfade 2 does not apply any post-processing, giving you unadulterated sound directly from your source. BATTERY LIFE: Using the headphone in wireless mode at reasonable volumes, you can expect 14+ hours of playback. This is largely unimpressive when other well-known headphone brands are often able to deliver 20+ hours of playback. The drivers are quite sensitive, so driving them wirelessly should not consume much more power than other brands. My guess is that this is a compromise V-MODA had to make to fit all this technology in such a small package. CONCLUSION: The V-MODA Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex Edition delivers on its promises of being a very portable over-ear headphone with high resolution audio, regardless of its use as a wireless or wired headphone. It addresses the compromises of its eldest predecessor, the M-100, while maintaining and expanding on the aspects that were adored by the audiophile community. Being an audiophile-grade portable hybrid wireless over-ear headphone is no easy feat, and V-MODA’s execution is noteworthy.

I’m in love with these headphones. Normally I stick with earbud style but wanted to try over the ear for wearing longer periods. The memory foam is so comfortable I don’t even notice them on most of the time. The sound quality is fantastic and are even better than my beats earbuds I’ve favored for a few years. I listen to several different genres of music and all sound great with these headphones. The range on the Bluetooth is great and being able to plug them in by cord if the battery dies is perfect. These are the first headphones my toddler has liked as well and easily pair with an iPad for watching movies on long car rides. I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for great sounding and comfortable headphones.

V-Moda Review These are some incredible headphones. These are another that have been added to my diverse collection of various brands and types. These are probably at the top in terms of quality. I hadn’t heard of V-Moda or experienced their headphones prior. If you can check out a pair at your local Best Buy, do yourself a favor and check these out. What I love about these is the evenness of sound. There’s no app and no eq to manage on your device so you’re getting a sound that’s already been tuned and tuned incredibly well. I’ve used them wired and wireless and couldn’t find a difference in the sound at all. This is something very difficult to manage as Bluetooth and Wireless connections aren’t the most reliable nor do they deliver the same quality in most cases as a Wired connection. In my time testing these out I’ve been incredibly pleased. They are very comfortable and very flexible. The fit well and they definitely feel like they stay in place. I’m quite pleased with the quality of the construction of the headphones. They are very well built and are very solid. The leather they use is incredible too! There’s even this same quality leather on the box they come in. The earcups have memory foam and super comfy and super soft on your ears. They can get a bit warm but i never found them to get sweaty at all. Music wise I tested several types of genres. I listened to some Hip-Hop and Rap like Run-DMC and Macklemore and the bass in the tracks was very natural and smooth and not overpowering to the rest of the tracks. Listening to classical or big band music all the instruments had an evening of sound, not one instrument was overpowering another. Even with listening to Rock and Metal this same characteristic carried over as well. Having an evenness of sound is really something you want in a pair of headphones. Having too much bass or too much treble can lead to too bright a sound or too muddled of a low end and these thankfully don’t experience this. These also come with a hard shell carrying case that feels very durable. They have a carabiner clip on them so you can attach them to a loop on pants or on a backpack. The case has some room as well for a pair of V-Moda earbuds. There’s also some spots for the Charging cable and the 3.5mm cable. I do like the charging cable as it’s a flat USB cable and seems to have a nice quality to them. The 3.5mm cable is also very nice as it’s braided and has a nice quality feel. There’s also an in-line Mic on the cable so you use it for calls. I didn’t test this however. Battery life seems quite good. I used them for hours at a time and never really saw much of a decrease in charge. They are rated for I believe 14 hours at low volume. I was using them at about half volume and their included materials state they will get about 1.5 hours at higher volumes. I fell asleep with them on a couple times and they had been on for a couple hours at that point but the battery meter barely budged. One thing I didn’t realize, they have ANC (Active Noise Cancelling). Now it’s not going to block out everything like an airplane, but they will definitely keep out various distractions. There’s nearly no noise bleed. You can test that by resting the earcups against each other and then separating them. Since they rest on your ears and not over, I was quite impressed with how well the sound was retained. One nice thing you can do with the headphones is purchase some covers for the outer sides of the headphones. These range in price and quality. They have precious metals, engravings and patterns. You can get 14k gold, plated gold, platinum, brass and even textures. Most of them are a fair investment and can wind up costing as much $30,000 if you want Platinum. Expensive, but it gives you options for customizing your headphones to make them your own and one of a kind. If you’re looking for a very nice, high quality pair of wired headphones, these are sure to please as their quality is amazing.

Very solidly built, with metal arms and hinges. Very comfortable to wear, had them on my ears for several hours and still felt comfortable at the end. The sound quality is very good, was able to hear sounds that did not know were there when using previously a different set of headphones. Pairing was very easy. The included case accommodates the charging cable, the 1/4 adapter and the wire cable for those situations where you do not use WiFi connection. Headphones have a built in microphone and one of the buttons allows to either take calls or reject them. Only two potential concerns. First, the manufacturer states that only 5V charges can be used, otherwise the warranty will be voided (see the picture with the label). That means if I want to have the protection of the warranty I need to be careful which charger I am using, especially that most of my chargers are more than 5V. Second, the whitish creamy color of the headphones is prone to show scratches and discolorations from use. I already can see two very small marks on my headphones. But overall I am very happy with them so far as they seem to be comfortable to wear over extended period of time and the sound quality is very good.

Amazed at the range of sound from these! I was a little put off prior to receiving when I read they were over ear headphones. I have a pair of Senns over the ear and after 20 minutes , my ears get starved for air and I have to take them off. With the V-moda's, I notice they are more like large on ear units (big plus). The elliptical design sits just right and alleviates the discomfort associated with my over ear units. In wireless mode, the aptX and AAC codecs really bring them to the next level. Bluetooth pair is so quick, I didn't realize they were connected until I heard music. Bass response is deep and thumping listening to Prime EDM, highs are well separated with no muddy middles. Their performance matches their pro look and lightweight comfort. I love this customization option for the shields; wearing in public with your custom logo or initials, people will think your some famous DJ! V-moda has reached new heights with these headphones. Rock on!

I’ll be honest. I didn’t know much about V-moda but always heard good things. I have to try things myself to know what’s good. And wow. I can now say those people were right. These crossfades 2 are amazing. From the very balanced sound to the build quality and ruggedness. V-MODA pays attention to the details in their products. So I’ll start with what everyone (mostly) cares about. The sound. I have other high end headphones and these to me have a more balanced and solid sound. Lows are tight but punchy. Not overdone. The mids sound beautiful. Vocals are important to me. And the highs are sharp but not bad. Perfect imo. The design is typical but classy. I get compliments at the gym. I use for running and lifting weights. They don’t slip off. They make me warm. But I run hot anyways. So not a big deal. I don’t worry about drops since they feel like you can throw them at a wall and they will be just fine. So overall these will be my go to from now on. Give them a shot. U won’t regret it I promise. Good luck ! Ps-don’t forget to register these so you can get the free custom upgrade. I believe it’s about 70$ in extras.

These headphones are the rare case of awesome looking design and a very decent sound! Designers did everything tight - steel frame, soft replaceable cushions and ability to install custom cover plates makes these one of a kind! Sound quality was not sacrificed either - headphones sound fantastic over Bluetooth and even better wired to the high quality amplifier (32 Ohm impedance, headphones are very efficient and 100dB at 1mW of power (1kHz)). Dynamic range is great and frequency response (wired only specification) is better than most humans can hear 5Hz to 40kHz. I just love listening to these! Fit is comfortable, but I noticed that they do clamp my head a bit more than I would like to. Control buttons are located at the top of the right headphone and a bit difficult to hit the exact button I want from the first try. Replaceable covers are available for the purchase from V-Moda web site and include a wide variety - from 3D printed fiber to precious metals, price ranging from $25 to whooping $27k for platinum covers! Custom cover engraving is available, and even 4 colors of cover screws to choose from. Other available accessories include boom microphone (great for gaming!), extra large ear cushions and cables. Hard carrying case is included, as well as USB charging cable and 3.5mm stereo cable with a microphone (1/4" adapter is included too). Overall - it's an amazing set that looks gorgeous, highly customizable with various accessories and sounds just right wired or wireless!

I bought these cause i got a ps5. The headset for the ps5 is wireless radio frequency and already expensive. I did not want to spend that on plastic. Shopped for something that was capable of multiple uses, visually pleasing, durable and high quality. Such as leather metal frame and avoid plastic parts that snap. Also connected bluetooth to ps5 succesffully. Comparable choices were bose, seinheisser, b&o, master and dynamic, steel series and beats by dre. Worth it. Packaging...nice and secure. Case, nice and matches the headset. Headset itself is fairly comfortable. Opening it up easy. The headphones "click" when opening and closing. The battery is partially charged so you can pair and use out of the box. Material on the ear muff is nice leather. Sound is good...not overpowering...not bass heavy. Your sound settings for bluetooth connection or music app or whatver should be set to allow for the richer sounds. The rose gold arms are metal and feel quite sturdy. Satisfying clicks when adjusting height to let you know of the adjustment settings. Flexible. Comfortable. Ear muffs are comfy....not deep but they are overear. Not noise cancelling but honestly not noticeable. Steel side plates that you can customize in the website. Pretty cool. Charging cable included. Nice. Works. Attachment cable with built in mic and gold adapter also nice and good. Wearing for extended hours like 5 results in a noticeable warm pocket....if that bothers you then probably not for you. But still comfy. Weight is noticeable. Not too heavy...but definitely something that can survive a little rough love. Design is nice. I like the black and rose gold look. Offset rose gold screws on the side make it look cool. Register in main site for their lifetime deal. I actually might consider the more expensive noise cancelling headphones later on. Also..if you plug the headphone jack into the phone or whatever device for sound and mic use the headset will work without needing to power on.

These things thump! The bass is not overwhelming but it's certainly present. They feel extremely well made so disability is not a question. Ear cups are plush and spacious and although these weigh in on the heavier side (slightly over 300 grams) my head didn't get fatigued after prolonged use. They don't have active noise canceling but the noise isolation is excellent. Not a lot of sound bleed so you won't disturb folks sitting near you. Overall these are a great pair of headphones (especially for hip hop heads). Version 3 should increase the battery life, add support for more audio codecs, improve microphone quality, and they'd likely dethrone the Sony wh-1000xm3's.

Like many who look at the specifications for this product I was on edge especially with the $350 price tag and the lack of features. After disappointments with other manufacturer's I decided to give these a shot and I must say I have no regrets. Although these headphones do not contain touch controls, ANC, USB-C charging and are a couple generations behind with Bluetooth standards they sound great. The connectivity with my Pixel 3 is solid and the sound is clear with a wide sound stage. You can definitely hear the separation of instruments and they have plenty of bass without being bass heavy. Vocals come across clear and upfront. Although these cans are not noise canceling they block out a ton of sound even at low volumes which is a plus. The sound is identical regardless if you are using a wired connection or Bluetooth. The travel case provided is solid, very compact, well designed and the design of the headphones are amazing. I have received several compliments on the design as well as the sound. These are my new favorite over the ear headphones. On another note I did not experience any delays when watching YouTube videos or movies over Bluetooth or wired. Everything played fine without any issues.

I am a big Vmoda fan. I waited for this second generation model to come out. The sound in these are almost as good as when they wired. Wireless lasts up to 15 hours as specified. Comfort is good for hours at a time. Compact and stylish. Build quality is as expected. The buttons take a little getting used to. I highly recommend for the price. Best in class for sure.

I've been using these headphones for the past 6 months for work and home. This is one of the best pairs of headphones I've ever had. Pros: These are extremely durable, and with their carrying case makes them perfect for travelling. The sound quality is also top notch. The noise cancellation works well only when you're listening to audio. I work in an open environment and the noise cancellation is enough to block out anything around me during use. Cons: The Bluetooth speaker works well, except for the open environment. The mic works almost too well and picks up other people easily. There is a mic accessory that can be purchased and used which can alleviate this, but it can only be used over 3.5mm and disables the Bluetooth when it's attached. The price is a little high, but you'll end up spending about the same purchasing a Sennheiser or Bose pair of headphones, so its comparable to competitors.
