Where the story lacks in depth for a Valkyria game the gameplay is up there along Devil Maycry maybe even slightly better. The game has free dlc and new playable characters. Definitely worth your time if you a fan of the action game genre

This was a surprisingly good action rpg, with Devil May Cry vibes. Be warned its only 14 hours in length (side quest included). I was going to play again on Hard but you have to completely restart, going through tutorials again. Otherwise a great game!

This game was clearly made with a budget, but I still had a lot of fun with it. My only issue with it is that this game retreads a major plot point from the first Valkyrie Profile and is completely unoriginal with it.

Think a mix of Final Fantasy and A Tales Of game and you'll have this one.Overall the game,story,characters and soundtrack are good though sadly this was an under-looked hidden gem it seems. The control mechanics will take a little getting used to but once you're used to them the game works fine. The story plot itself isn't anything really new as we've played games with similar plots many times over but it doesn't detract from the overall entertainment of the game. A definite must own especially with the price it's going for right now well worth adding to any gamers PS5 library.

Once you get into the flow of the game it’s quite enjoyable. It’s mission based and a lot of repetitive backtracking if you want to complete everything but it’s a fun 20-40 hour adventure

Was what I was looking for an even came with a preorder bonus! Something other stores didn’t have, which makes it a better purchase. Game is fun and the combat is face paced/hack and slash. There’s a lot to do and much to see.

Overall the game is just ok! Combat is the main take away here the story and characters dont really bring much to the table.

The game itself is just fine and came in good condition. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star versus 5 star review is because of the "preorder bonus". At my time of pickup, they did not have the steelbook available. I had reserved my copy the day it was announced and was shocked to hear from the employee that "preorder bonuses (especially steelbooks) are not guaranteed". I thought that was kind of the point of preorders? Why not have enough stock to support the ones who reserved early? To be fair, it did come in a week late. So that's better than not at all, but I don't think it's a great business practice to not guarantee an item.

I accidentally put my review for this game on the review for the steelbook, which is a beautiful collectible and I love having the steelbook on display. This game is great. The action is fun, engaging and the summons add versatility in combat. I like that they have the summon system the way it is as opposed to the usual party system you see in traditional JRPGs. I do love thatbkind of system.as well, but it wouldn't have matched the tone and story of Valkyrie Elysium. I'm about 20 hours in and I really love the world, the mythology, the characters and how the story is unfolding. The music is also beautiful and atmospheric, becoming totslly epic when a set piece or combat starts. Everything here feels epic and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

Good game! Didn't have a huge budget so don't expect FF7R quality but it is a really fun ARPG and gets better as you play and unlock abilities. If you played any of the Valkyrie Profile games, you will enjoy it.

Fun game, life happened so i havemt finished it yet. Demo was fun amd the pre-order bonus of the steel case got me to order it.

This is a great action role playing game with great graphics. I have played this game on Playstation 5 console; this game has a great storyline and combat is fine. well worth the money to buy it.

This is a spin off of my favorite game of all time; Valkyrie Profile. It tells a very similar story to VP1, but condensed. Great music by Sakuraba-san.

This game has some addicting combat that carries the game. The story is decent about norse mythology. The game is linear with some side missions. I recommend this game based on the gameplay combat alone.

Game has heart andgreat combat design, yet is slow in story and overall movement. Also backgrounds are so boring.

Gameplay is great, but can get petitive at times. The storyline itself is a bit lacking, but not so much to make the gane unplayable.

I would say combat is good but also repetitive Also it gets really old when ypu runout of items and ypu have to replay the same missions to get them since the game does not offer a shop to buy them other than that the story is 7 out of 10 IMO

Fun game I recommend it to anyone that wants a action fast pace game…!!!

I saw this game on sale recently at my local Best Buy and decided to buy it. I enjoy these types of actian games and this one has good graphics.
